Brief Purpose: Standardizes the proceedings of the speaker and ensures a uniform law archive.

Preamble:

ACKNOWLEDGING: the lack of any important standardization.

UNDERSTANDING: that there is no uniform formatting in the law archive, which resembles unprofessionalism.

This piece of legislation hereby amends/establishes/ratifies the following:

Section I: Constitutional Repeal

  1. Hereby repeals and removes Article VI - The Judicial Branch, Clause 10, of the Constitution.

Section II: Ownership

  1. There shall at all times be a NationStates nation designated as the official nation of the region.

  2. Additional puppets may be created to represent the FNR in an official capacity or to conduct other specific administrative duties.

  3. The Speaker of the Assembly (speaker) shall be given permissions or a method to amend and edit the entire law archive of FNR on all applicable mediums.

Section III: Archives

  1. The Speaker shall be responsible for ensuring an up-to-date law archive, with a maximum of 48 hours to implement changes.

  2. A law archive must be established in an official nation of the region.

    1. Within the archive, two separate tables shall be enforced for repealed and failed legislation and another for active legislation.

    2. The law archive must include:

      1. Legislation currently in debate or voting stages.

      2. The current status of a piece of legislation (i.e. repealed, amended, failed, passed.)

      3. The author of the legislation.

      4. The date passed or failed.

      5. If applicable, the date amended and/or repealed.

  3. An additional law archive must be established on an offsite platform belonging to the region.

  4. On a biannual basis, the speaker shall be responsible for backing up all law archives in raw format into a plain text document.

Section IV: Formatting

  1. The Speaker shall ensure that all legislation looks uniform.

  2. If text within legislation is repealed, it shall be changed to the following format: Repealed Text

  3. If text within legislation is amended, it shall be changed to the following format: New text. Old text.

    [color=green][/color] [strike][/strike]
  4. Legislation titles shall hereby be enforced in the following manner:

    1. Must be formatted in the Dispatch title as "FNR | Legislation: Name".

      1. If repealed, the Dispatch title shall be displayed as "FNR | Repealed Legislation: Name.

      2. If failed, the Dispatch title shall be displayed as "FNR | Failed Legislation: Name

    2. May not be a duplicate or very similar title to another legislation as per the Speakers discretion.

Section V: Implementation

  1. Upon introduction of this legislation, the Speaker shall have a maximum of 14 days (336 hours) to implement all aforementioned changes.
