Good day, everyone! This is the Chairperson of the FUP speaking, here to give you a wonderful announcement in lieu with the new year!

As you may know, 2020 wasn't the greatest year, so I'd like to start 2021 off right by cutting out stress from the experience of our members and help them reassess their priorities - how? Well, by dissolving the FUP of course!

Over the course of the last few months, we've seen many members leave or plan to leave, either because of their real life responsibilities or them having to endure the ever-stressful political field of the Union, in which both reasons are completely understandable. So, and few weeks ago, it was decided to dissolve the party.

The partisan divide has worsened the longer it got, with many debates being used as excuses to flame the other side, and many even resorting to cheap shots and flamebaiting. We don't want this, and being an often target of these attacks (while sometimes doing them as well), I want to help end this toxic partisanship by swallowing my pride and getting rid of partisanship as a whole, considering how the Feds and the SDU are buddy-buddy.

I don't want to put anyone in a stressful situation anymore just because of what party they decided to join us. So to the other parties reading, please accept our former members if they decide to join your party and don't treat them with the scorn you've directed towards the FUP as a whole.

Hopefully this announcement will ease the tremulous experience many of you are experiencing both inside and outside the party, as a number of us have also expressed the same grievances.

A handful of our members want to continue their time in the Union, either as Independents or in other parties, so if you are reading this, thank you so much for sticking with us until the end. Hopefully we made your Union experience better in some other way, and I'm glad you were all here to talk to each other and enjoy each other's company. You've been an amazing experience for me and really made some of my days a little better.

As for myself, I will continue participating in the Union until March, where I plan to 'retire' from playing NationStates to focus on other things in life. I will continue working in any positions I currently have until that date, and maybe even decide to stick around in some of those by then, but right now, I just want to rest and help my mental health.

The dissolution of the party, awarding of our current members, and honourable dismissal of said members is made effective immediately. Have a safe and wonderful day.
