TSR | Registry of Regional Tartans
Regional Tartans
An annual contest is held in April amongst the residents of The Sasquatch Republic to design a tartan to represent the region for the coming year. The designs adhere to guidelines set by the Scottish Registry of Tartans and may be woven and registered in the future.
Friendship Tartans
Beginning in 2021, a new category was opened to friends and embassy partners. This Friendship Tartan will the wider NationStates community and will be used alongside the Regional Tartan in upcoming cultural exchanges. Thank you to
Dilber of the West Pacific and 
Altino and Takura of Karma for their wonderful entries in our inaugural contest. 
Other Tartans
2021's second place design drew directly from the
Cathedral Shield. It was subsequently adopted as the tartan of the Chapel of the Pines and Cathedral of Saint Agatha the Squatcher. Other regional institutions will be added in the future.
