MoFA 2020: Choose Heaveria!

Leadership & Experience
By becoming your Minister of Foreign Affairs, I bring along a plethora of leadership and experience with 4-year NS career. While being a Minister of Foreign Affairs is not on my direct resume, my time on NS has been characterized by heavy dealing of foreign affairs. Notably, I have recently been President of The Free Nations Region. I worked very heavy along and taught the current MoFA, Gufand. I promise to have a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs within the first two weeks of my term. Multiple candidates are already available.

Some of the notable things we have worked on:

  • Joined The Consortium.

  • Established true friendships with notable regions such as The East Pacific and Thaecia.

  • Left URA.

  • Heavily dedicated to shutting down embassies to embody our true friends and set a standard. With about 39 embassies at the beginning of the term, there was -28.21% change. Note: Some embassies are FNR property or other miscellaneous organizations.

  • Proper and professional handling of crises such as the founder transition.

  • Quick and thorough handling of problematic regions (e.g. OOC/IC issues.)

  • Setup and implementation of the FNR Relay (Still in progress.)

  • On-time and detailed monthly foreign updates.

  • And more!

Some of my other notable positions in my NS career include, but are not limited to:

  • President - FNR (The Free Nations Region)

  • New Founder - FNR

  • Chief Justice - FNR

  • Moderator in various servers (including FNR and Consortium)

  • Minister of Census - UDS (The Union of Democratic States)

  • Associate Justice - UDS

  • Chief Justice - UDS

  • TSP Citizen

  • TEP Citizen

  • SPSF Member

  • Haut Conseil Member - The Consortium

  • Secretary General - ITDA

  • Board of Trustees - AIR (Alliance of Interdependent Regions)

The Consortium
The potential of the Consortium can be greatly expanded. The organization harbors major regions (notably TEP) which allows us to open up our foreign affairs and public image. We should put a heavy emphais here as this unites us with other regions as true friends who work together not because they have to, but because they want to.

There have been negotiations on various projects to promote inter-regional government cooperation. In addition, I find it important that we stimulate each others culture, at the benefit of everyone involved. Someone is required to spearhead, plan, and execute these goals. I will be more than glad to be responsible for this. A festival of the entire organization is something I strongly aspire to achieve. As a member of the Haut Conseil and your Minister of Foreign Affairs I believe I am in the capacity to not just propose the idea, but to also execute it.

Updated Material and Professionalism
Many of the FNR dispatches are out-of-date and include information that is either no longer relevant or accurate. This displays a bad image and also confuses the audience of the dispatches. Therefore, it is my duty to collaborate with the appropriate FNR minister to ensure the completion of the dispatches.

In addition, I would like to update the design of our foreign updates. I have already begun working on this. The forum should display professionalism in writing (grammar, spelling, etc) and beauty (public image) in design. It must be brought up to par with the FNR Standard. Lastly, we need to create a dispatch archiving all foreign updates as relying on the NSGP forum as an archive is inefficient. I have already created a logo for this ministry. A dispatch/forum template is underway and will be proposed to the cabinet before implementation.

We should also update our NSGP forum more frequently. By only doing it once a month, it receives minimal attention and is lost in the plethora of other posts and updates on other threads. Updates can include things such as treaties.

Embassies
We approaching a more justified number of embassies consistent of regions who truly would like to collaborate and work with us. We should continue to reduce the number of embassies and reevaluate our embassies. I authored this Spreadsheet of our embassies which is a helpful tool in guiding our embassies:

Link: You can find the Linkspreadsheet here.

Of course, FNR must continue to do its part to maintain the standard of foreign affairs that we set. By approaching our friends, collaborating with our friends, providing our monthly mandated update, etc.

Part of our process to streamline communication will be achieved by further implementing and promoting the FNR Relay. The Relay is a Discord feature which allows announcements to automatically pushed to a huge number of servers. Essentially, by subscribing to a channel. Nonetheless, it is important that every region is still assigned an ambassador irrespective of the FNR Relay.

Fostering New Friends
While we are in the Consortium and have strengthened our relations with specific regions over the last months, we should continue to look on a more broader spectrum. There are other regions with similar values to the FNR (such as the South Pacific) who would be fantastic candidates for bilateral mutual cooperation. Though, our resources are limited and we ensure that we build relations with those who desire to do so as well - it should not be forced, only stimulated.
