My first plan is to change the platform on which criminal trials are hosted. I want to move trials off Discord since many people in FWO do not have a Discord account and it would be unfair if they didn't get a say in the trials simply due to not having an account. In addition, the Discord server currently is sort of inactive & messy, so I don't think it's a great place to host trials anyways. I'm willing to fix up the Discord server if I do get the position though even though that's not part of the position, since I have a good deal of experience with the platform.
The Minister of Raids Atlantican people suggested to move trials off of Discord too (this is their proposal link), but I also think their idea of moving it to the forums is also limiting since users under age 13 (which there are some of in FWO) wouldn't be able to post over there. My proposed solution is to simply conduct trials through NationStates telegrams.
I also want to broaden the scope of the Justice office to include RMB arguments, so I can help settle them. I think this makes sense in terms of the office. Honestly, my only problem with FWO during my time here has been the somewhat frequent arguments on the RMB, and I think having an official position to deal with them would make arguers more likely to listen/stop. I would help mediate the arguments through a similar "trial" process, although a bit less formal. I'm not on the RMB 24/7, so I would consider hiring some unofficial RMB Mediators to cover for me when I'm not there, if there's any interest for that. (It won't be a new governmental position, just a small job).
I will create and maintain a log of all criminal trials that have occurred. This is more just something I want to do because I'm an organization freak, but I think this would be useful so me and future justice ministers could refer back to old trials to use past decisions as evidence for new trials (sort of like the real-life Supreme Court). This log would be public, and I'd provide a short description of each case along with the log. This would also add a layer of transparency to the court.
Of course, I'm open to additional suggestions, but these are the three main things I want to try accomplishing during my time in office.
I have over four years of NationStates experience. I joined the site in 2016 and was a regional officer in a now-dead region which had many of the same problems that FWO does (namely, the whole problem with using NationStates connected to offsite platforms that some people couldn't access, and the puppet voting issue). My main drawback to being elected is probably my relative recency in the FWO region itself, since I've only been here two weeks. However, in those two weeks, I've started an RMB statistics dispatch series just for fun, helped rewrite the Constitution and Legislative Process to remove grammar and typo mistakes, and made more dispatches just for worldbuilding on Knegenk and creating my own FWO soccer simulation league. All that combined with my overall NS experience I think is enough to overlook my recency in the region. I also have a lot of Discord experience. This one is a bit less relevant since I'm trying to move stuff off of the Discord, but I was the head admin in a 400+ member Discord server for over 2 years, so I have a lot of experience with managing a server. I recently resigned from that server on my own terms, but I could help fix up the FWO discord during my tenure even if the trials aren't going to be conducted there. I don't really have a grudge against anyone, making me a fair and unbiased candidate. I haven't gotten into any arguments during my time in the region, and honestly don't have any enemies here or anything, so I think that makes me a good person for the Justice position as well.
