Earlier this week starting on Wednesday the Layem election began, and the voting process ran for two to three days giving people enough time to cast their votes for the newly elected officials entering government. Several positions became open as the previous government terms expired, but the former government officials that left office managed to find new past times following their departure from office though. As the new government settles into their rightful positions they'll be expected to pursue their campaign goals in the coming weeks and months ahead. Down below will be the finalized voting results for the new people into office, and information regarding what happened to the opponents who lost the election this time around. Here are the results of the election.
Minister of Internal Affairs/Minister of Foreign Affairs Final Results:
In the race for Minister of Foreign Affairs, Randy managed to beat two rival candidates for the position by a major lead. Ergosphere and Zim followed in suit with a meager amount of support not giving either candidate the winning percentage they sought. In the race for Minister of Internal Affairs, Elvato managed to overcome the former Chief Minister Benderk for the position by not too large of a lead. It wasn't a big lead over his opponent, but enough percentage gain to take home the victory for the role. Now we move on to the final results for Speaker of the Assembly and Chief Minister.
Chief Minister/Speaker of the Assembly Final Results:
In the race for Chief Minister, the results for both candidates were almost equalized almost making the electoral race tied. Former Minister of Internal Affairs Phillippeland in the final weeks before election day made efforts to draw support to win the position, but by the end of the polls, Sierra Valley overcame the sudden, last-minute opposition to gain victory for Chief Minister. In the race for Speaker of the Assembly, Virconia ran unopposed during election day following his former opponent Baaas dropping out of the race last second, and had an easy victory to win the role. A little over 25% of the 32 votes however voted to abstain Virconia's campaign for Speaker of the Assembly. These are the final results for this election, and the Layem Times wishes the best of luck to the new candidates.
Now there wouldn't be an election without its' share of winners and losers that ran during this election season though. While Virconia became the only candidate to run unopposed during the voting process, the rest of the positions faced tense opposition between each other during the past few weeks. Highlight moments from the September election included the feud between Elvato and Benderk or the last-minute competition between Sierra Valley and Phillippeland for Chief Minister. Ergosphere, Zim, Baaas, Benderk, and Phillippeland are the select few who lost this election, but some of them pursued new past times since then. Down below are the fates of those who lost, but put up a good campaign run to win office to the end.
Baaas: Baaas dropped out of the Speaker of the Assembly race awhile back to pursue goals of continuing to run the Layem Times, the region's newspaper outlet. Baaas can be seen running the newspaper as the head honcho of the group and keeping news up to date.
Benderk: Benderk has lost the race for MoIA against Elvato, and has been assigned to the role of Regional Officer whose duty is to keep the region safe. Also besides serving as an enforcer Benderk has been promoted to Minister of Roleplay in the Layem RP server by the new MoIA Elvato as well.
Phillippeland: Phillippe has lost the race for Chief Minister against Sierra Valley, and been promoted back to citizen status following his term expiring as the previous MoIA. Not much has been confirmed going forward what he has planned for the future, but he can be seen active in the main server from time to time.
Ergosphere (Hydrolys)/Invader Zim (Nytt norsk imperium): Both candidates lost the race for MoFA against Randolphina, and both continue on as citizens in the region of Layem. Zim will continue to be a journalist for the Layem Times, and Ergosphere will go back to being the founder of the Layem Technocratic Party. Any plans either individual have for the future is currently unknown, and might be stated at a later date.
This has been a good election same as previous election seasons, and best of luck to everyone who participated in this election. Everyone did their part to run their campaigns, and it all comes down to the people's choice to vote. Hail Kalaria!

Short Answer:
Not too well…
Long Answer:
Well…
At first, we were lit with fire of patriotism, and nukes. Lots of nukes. Yes, some groups had hundreds of thousands, but we had around 100 nukes and shield 10 minutes in. Yet sadly, around 60 minutes later… Disaster struck. We were targeted by one of the largest N-Day factions at that point (A.T.O.M.I.C), and were hit by hundreds (at one point thousands) of nukes. Nations started to fall, getting to 100% radiation before anyone could produce enough shields to do anything. A.T.O.M.I.C later went on to fail attacking an even larger faction (Augustin Alliance [I believe]), and then merging with them. We were sitting in the CoL, defeated. Yet Brorack wanted to keep trying- none of us were feeling like it. I kept telling him that we should try something different (Creating a new faction in Wheroq [a Puppet Puppet region where me and my {redacted} store our puppets]), yet he didn’t want to, because of Patriotism. Massechusetts decided to move one of his puppets there, but nothing really lasted. In the morning of N-Day, other citizens started to fall, like Phillippeland and finally Brorack, after trying to reverse our irreversible score of -2100 or so. After all, it wasn’t that good of an N-Day. We didn’t win, but i’m sure we’ll do better next year. We need more people in the CoL… We’ll get there!
LAYEM GUARDS BRANCH NEWS!
Not much happened this week. After the fall of the Layem Defense Coalition and the N-Day Problem, The LGB just went… silent. No one said much on the discord, except blaming Massechusetts for starting the A.T.O.M.I.C invasion, although I don’t think they did.
I did an interview with the members of the LGB, and here’s what they said:
1) The LGB is becoming R/D focused now, right?
2) How did N-Day go in your opinion?
SomethingIsWrongHere: makes sense
Acren: Absolute disappointment, Nations didn't follow orders
Acren: Caused a fight with Atomic and got us killed
Brorack: And then the horsemen
3) Are you thinking of any ways to improve N-Day 6 or Z-Day? (If that happens)
Acren: For sure
SomethingIsWrongHere: Like what?
Elvato: I don’t think Z-Day is improbable
SomethingIsWrongHere: Ok... when was the last Z-Day?
Acren: I already am coming up with ideas for Z-day, which involves a focus on curing. However, until I set out who will be "problematic" towards my plan, I cannot fully discuss it. The LDC isn't gone forever. I'm not giving up because of one mishap.
Acren: Always on the 31st I believe
SomethingIsWrongHere: Alright! That concludes the interview! Have a nice day!
Editor's Note: Finally, after so much waiting, here comes another RP Update.
RP Reset 2:
After the RP being dead for 1 month, with the new elections, Elvato was elected MoIA. His first act was to make a new RP, which is a cold war RP.
Fascism in Latin America:
With a newly fascist Brazil and Mexico turning communist, the republic of Guatemala, after an election, had turned fascist. The states of Brazil and Guatemala had formed an alliance to make Latin America fascist.
