Sovereign Justice Accord

Sovereign Justice Accord relates to lawsuits between foreign legal persons and states. Because conflicts of interests can arise if an international lawsuit is filed in a national court, it is important for an international body or committee to regulate such proceedings, in order to guarantee fairness. Furthermore, suits that are not held in a neutral court system could lead to abusive or retaliatory suits, failing to properly uphold justice.

By establishing an impartial international court system to hear these kinds of disputes, the proposal ensures that justice can be served in a fair manner while affording judicial equality to and between member states. Therefore, we recommend a vote FOR the proposal.
