The Herrebrugher guilder (Batavian Netherdutch: Herrebrugſche gulden; High Dutch: Herrenbrückiſcher Gulden) or ƒ is the currency of Herrebrugh, and has been ſince 1890 with the aboliſhment of the Britiſh pound. A ſtrong ſenſe of tradition amongſt the Dutch population of Herrebrugh has led to the introduction of a non-decimal currency with coins that had at the time already been removed from circulation in the country of origin (the Netherlands).
The Dutch name gulden is Middle Dutch for "golden", as it uſed to refer to a coin made of gold.
Coins
There are twelve different coins in circulation. By His Majeſty's perſonal command, all coins except for the double ſtiver and below have since 2014 been produced in all major languages of the Herrebrugh Iſlands. Before then, they were produced excluſively in Nether and High Dutch. For clarity, all coins feature common abbreviations for the denominations: GG for gold guilder, RT for rixdollar (from High Dutch "Reichstaler"), T for dollar, G for guilder, Sch for shilling, S for stiver, O for ord and D for doit.
