SOME WINDS IN THE AIR ... :

In the South East of the realm, the orcs of the Broken Tooth Tribe have expanded so much that they've endangered the frail balance of the world. If left unattended to, they surely would be an unstoppable force.

They should be stopped. When you think at stopping their future expansion and curbing their influence on the world, you feel Favors bestowed upon you; you are fairly certain that for each province you take away from the Broken Tooth Tribe you will get +25 more Favouritism points. You feel revigorated while thinking at this.

In the West, the humans of the Kingdom of Arthedain have expanded so much that they've also endagered the frail balance of the world. While not as dangerous as the Orcs of Nurn, Gundabad and the Horse Plains, still you feel that they should be stopped; if you curb their expansion, you certainly feel Favors worth +15 Favouritism points bestowed upon you, for each province you take away from them.

Winds blow harshly on the realms of Druwaith Folk and Clan Frostbeard. Certainly they will not benefit from any Favouritism others might get in these harsh times; and if they don't stop with their future expansions they might incur the wrath of the realm as well.

THE TALK FROM THE OLD UPDATE... :

.
.

Elvea-Falasse (message 1 of 5):

Angbor recieved the message from the courier and delivered it to the dwarf official.
To the Frostbeard Clan
"Dear King Dralvik,
I wanted to update you on the matters south of you. There is much activity and battle is looking certain. Elvea-Falasse rangers have returned from the lands of King Curufinwe. Towards the border with Arthedain life is quite and content, however the rule from Hollin is absolute. Further towards the Redhorn gate and its mines slaves could be scene in strip mines, and the areas within the mountains where inpenetrably guarded. People where frightful and it is said those who speak against Curufinwe aren't seen again. Worst of all is the mass graves from the battle of Moria and its dwarfs and orcs, and it's unburied overflow. I have men in Mirkwood awaiting the word of the Queen if Arthedain can martial it's full forces. The plan is to keep Curufinwe at Michel Delving where Arthedain, Etyangoldi, and Elvea-Falasse are negotiating. I may need to pretend to break relations with your Kingdom to keep Curufinwe at Michel Delving, as myself and Minyatur have a chance to encircle and apprehend him. When the battle is over I wish to either send him to the West to face judgement of send him into exile in the Blue Mountains to repent and learn friendship with the dwarves, if you are okay with the second thought. Also Curufinwe presented a ring to Minyatur claiming it would grant great powers. Whether he spoke literal of figuratively I dont know for certain. However dark powers emminate from it, and while cautious Minyatur is unaware of the extent of it's possible evils. When happy times return perhaps you can tell him the tale of Lord Azaghal slaying the fire drake, as King Minyatur joked of there nonexistence.
Yours,
Cirdan"

The Woodland Realm

Due to the most recent events happening in the provinces of the Woodland Realm, the house of Dwarves from the East, ruled by Tulin Ironflow, gathered enough support to uncrown Queen Barazturg. Dwarves are known to be greedy, warlike and very quick to anger, so the ongoing string of defeat and the lack of allies coming to her aid definitely sealed the fate for the Queen.

Obviously, the transition of power was not smooth, the Queen and those that still remained loyal to her fought valiantly, fiercely and the death toil was monumental. In the end, the Queen fell, struck in battle by one of the generals loyal to Tulin Ironflow. From this moment onward, Tulin has taken command of the Woodland Realm.

The orders were as follow;
- Execute all remaining loyalists to the Queen.
- Cease all friendships and alliances with other dwarf factions, as they proved to be unloyal.
- Imprison the elf delegation from Elvea-Falasse, with no access to the outside world.
- Close all borders

Cease friendship with Clan Frostbeard
Cease alliance with The Defender's Fjord

Kingdom of Arthedain (message 1 of 3):

Discussion with emissary of Cirdan
"I agree with you. I moved all of my army back to the capital, as to be close at reach to strike. Do you truly believe that we can do it, fair king of elves? Do you think that we can capture the wretched king, without suspecting anything? What about your troops? How are you able to reach his lands? You either have to claim Eryn Vorn or to move on my lands, both actions certainly arising some level of suspicion ... "

Back at the meeting
"King Curufinwe, thank you for your precious gift. I shall wear it as a sign of recognition of our new-found friendship. Now, let us talk about your worries, as you have quenched mine. I know that I now have a friend in you. "

.
.

Trollshaw Realm:

"Damn! Our cunning plan failed, and it backfired. Trusting the orcs of Gundabad for an alliance against mutual foes, striking deep and routing a big part of their armies ... all gone! Gone! And my troops, my armies, gone! The alliance with the Gundabad Dwellers serves no purpose now, they are too weak. But I'll keep them as allies, maybe they still have one more fight left in them ... "

.
.

Etyangoldi Alliance (message 1 of 5):

King Curufinwe noticed curious army movements at his southern borders for quite some time; the Empire of Coldvar seems to be busy. As a preventive measure, the King ordered the bulk of his army to move at the bordering region near the Empire of Coldvar. Spies were sent at the border to measure up the Coldvar's forces and notice, hopefully, any changes. The ending of the Non Aggression Pact meant that some level of conflict is to ensue. The Coldvar folk are quite untrustworthy anyway ...

In Blue Mountain

The secret party sent by King Curufinwe successfully infiltrated the province of Blue Mountain and has started disruptive actions towards the dwarf-trade areas. The elves increased the friction between the local elves and the dwarf population by accusing the dwarves of wrongdoings, of beatings, of greed, of items confiscation. Two elves from the party were keen speakers, and they talked in taverns and nearby markets to the elves of the provinces, reminding them that the Elvea-Falasse are allied with the only other elf faction in the region, the Etyangoldi Alliance, and that they are fighting the dwarves, so the Elvea-Falasse should also actively try to help their brothers and sisters. Being disguised as elves from Elvea-Falasse, the party fit right into the scenery with all of the above.

They also started to sabotage the markets and even to kill some proeminent dwarf figures of the region, in retalation to the so-called persecutions carried on by the dwarves and to the warm words for elf unity.

Covertly, they killed two proeminent elf figures from the Elvea-Falasse and left a trail of clues as to suspect that the dwarves did it.

.
.

Corsairs of Umbar (message 1 of 4):

"Hmm, hmm, hmm. What do we have for today? Ah, yes, yes. No answer from the Variag Order. Yes, yes. Mates, we go to pay them a visit! And we'll take every one we got. The more, the merrier, the better!

And no answer yet from the Druwaith Folk. We'll still give them a moment of respite. Same for the Empire of Coldvar.

Tell the Orcs of the Broken Tooth Tribe that the Corsairs are attacking the capitol of the Humans. They can take the other province, to terminate the Variag, or they can assist us in capturing the capitol. We have no fear, we melt capitols and get back their worth in gold!"

----
Ask the Broken Tooth Tribe what they plan to attack. The Corsairs are willing to attack the Capitol in Sutherland alone, or with help.
Still await reply from Druwaith Folk and from the Empire of Coldvar regarding the deals that were proposed.

.
.

Elvea-Falasse (message 2 of 5):
For all Curufinwe's skill and prowess, he had no moral compass, and he had forgotten what awaits every ensouled being in Arda. That evening as Cirdan slept in the hospitable home of the Hobbits, two spirits appeared before him, the fëar of the two slain mail couriers whom the Etyangoldi soldiers had slain.
"Cirdan, mae govannen! We where part of the messenger system that kept communication with the Frostbeards. The anger of our own hearts and the blessings of the Doomsman will this meeting. Before we depart, you must know; Curufinwe send spies into the Blue Mountains to break the bond between Elvea-Falasse and the Frostbeard Clan. They spread lies that we are enemies, they play upon the tension between Etyangoldi and the dwarves. They killed us as well as several lords of the Frostbeard. Make haste, and wrong what is right!"

A lone ship set sail out of the Grey Havens destined for the Bay of Forochel, crewed by men with Alphrovon the Navigator as its lone elf. When they made landfall Alphrovon spoke;
"I am keeper of the Western Passage and a sailor of Elvea-Falasse and I urgently need to speak with your king! We carry no arms aboard our vessel, nor magics. Give this message to King Dralvik II please! Oh so very much rests upon this endeavor!

"Dear King Dralvik
Curufinwe has sent agents into the Blue Mountains, word of this reached me by the fëar of the elves killed by Curufinwe's men in an attempt to cause us to blame you. Any upheaval is by Curufinwe's hand. I cannot spare any men to aid in their capture as battle is on the horizon as described in my last correspondence with you. Elvea-Falasse and the Arthedain Kingdom will soon move for Curufinwe's capture and the liberation of his land. If you choose to take up arms against my people, know that we shall offer no resistance. However again it was by Curufinwe's hand that evil is afoot in the Blue Mountains. Also word has come that Queen Barazturg has fallen and some of my men imprisoned. If you have more information or the Fjord's Defenders of the Iron Hills brings any please let us know.
I eagerly await your reply,
Respectfully,
Cirdan"

Later Cirdan and Gannoriel met with King Minyatur and Cirdan said;
"To answer your question King, elves can be extremely stealthy when need be. However Curufinwe's men are also elves and will be on an even footing with our stealthiness. Also Magolhir and the armed men of Lindon camp at the White Downs, not far from Michel Delving, which isn't ideal. However Elvea-Falasse can either encircle the entirety of Michel Delving and capture Curufinwe, or a mix between dividing the army between attacking North Cardolan and encircling Michel Delving for the capture, however we'd risk not having enough troops to execute the encirclement and the defense of North Cardolan. Either way Magolhir will attack in the middle of the night where moonlight is absent or obscured, and the forces west of the city will feint the presence of Elvea-Falasse's entire force. I will inform you of the final plan once it is determined. Lastly word has it that the Etyangoldi Army has been redeployed along their southern border which is to our benefit. Are you ready, King?"

.
.

Clan Frostbeard (message 1 of 4):

Wooden chunks passed under the trading post dock’s as the merchant dwarves landed in long-boats upon the rocky shores of The Blue Mountians coming back on their journey from Lindon. Boats littered the docks, but the merchant dwarf captain did not count his son among the welcome party waiting for them on the shore.

The captain frowned has he saw part of the houses had burned and damage, product of an already dead fire. The boat approached shore.
A dwarf approached towards the captain: "Captain Dwuram, at last we have..."

"Get out of my way!", Dwuram said as his eyes scanned the crowded dock: "Where is my son?...Where is my wife?". The crowded dwarves on the dock did not made a sound and the captain's eyes filled with tears and cried out in pain.

The seas thrashed and churned, and a wrathful storm appeared. One dwarf took up a woolen hood and gave it to the captain: "Some elves attacked us..."

In his terrible grief, Dwuram ran bearing his axe towards a group of passing elves and tried to slew them. But it was stopped by the dwarves-guards.
"I will cut them open! Let me go!", Dwuram cried as he was struggling with the guards.

"Come down lad! Put down yer axe…", a guard said: "…we have been attacked by other mad elves! Now put down yer weapon an honor of the fallen, this elves have suffer too...". Gradually the situation on the docks calmed down but the thirst for revenge was still on the dwarves hearts.

That night, Nrulvim, Thane of the Blue Mountains, hosted the funeral barrow-hill was dug in the Forochel tradition for the fallen northern dwarves, and Elves and Blue Mountaineers were laid to rest with rites and honors among his clansmen far below the rocky face of the southern chain of the Mountain in the newer halls.

Nrulvim knew that this conflict was far from over. He knew the dwarves of The Blue Mountains would become hostile towards the elves in the area as they were blamed to have been causing troubles in the market place.

“Roll ye eyes if you must, but I'm sayin' it anyway... Pointy ears! Go back the way you came ye tree lover!”, a dwarf shouted to an elf in the funeral.
Nrulvim adjusted his purple garment, combed his bright red beard and said to the crowed while raising his arms: "If you want to topple a wall, start with the foundation. It's an old Dwarf saying… If they take out the Frostbeard leadership in the Blue Mountains, the whole thing tumbles. My dear folks we have been sabotage, but do bear in mind that the elves that walks in our halls and shear our food and beer are not out enemy! This was a planned attack from elsewhere, and believe me when I say that we will find out! And those evil-hearted beings with meet my hammer upon their head!”

The crowded cheered and Nrulvim called to silence. Then he continued:

"Blessed are the Valar, for they serve without self in spirit forever.
Blessed are the Dwarves, for they blend in the glory of our forebears the halls.
Blessed are the Elves, for they bridge the past and span the future.
May Mahal's voice guide our beloved to the halls and bless our fallen"

After the ceremony, Nrulvim approached his adviser and said: "Send the news of this disgrace to our King Dralvik at Angmar, to the Steward Frulvik at Forochel, to our western brother the King Alexius, to Queen Barazturg and finally to our friend the King Cirdan, let him know that no harm will fall in any elvish life in the Blue Mountains we are his allies and more important his friends"

Send a message about the attack in the Blue Mountains to: King Cirdan, King Alexius and Queen Barazturg.

.
.

The Defender's Fjord (message 1 of 3):
A dwarf from Dralvik had previously arrived, informing the King of Curufinwe's cowardly attack. "This is terrible! Barazturg has been coupled, and her replacement ceased contact with us! General! Call in three runners!", the King ranted. "Yes, sir", Erasmus responded. The three runners ran in. "I have a message for each of you", the King said. "You, Aritius, inform Clan Frostbeard of the development with the Woodland Enclave, and ask what they would like to do, and tell them my heart aches for them, and I support them in any ordeal against the Etyangoldi Alliance." The dwarf nodded and ran out. The King looked at the next runner. "You, Nulvirk, ask the Druwaith Folk for a non-aggression pact, as we have performed no transgression against them." The dwarf nodded and left. The King looked at the next dwarf. "You, Berwark, inform the Kings of Arthedain and Elvea-Falasse that we would like a friendship, as we support their ordeal with King Dralvik against the Etyangoldi, and we are also allies of Dralvik." He nodded and left.

Clan Frostbeard (message 2 of 4):

In Angmar, Dalvik received news from Elves-False regarding the truth behind the atrocities committed by the elves of King Curufinwe, towards his dwarves-friends of The Woodland Realm.

"By my father's beard! Who is this King Curunfinwe? Damn bastard... What have the dwarves done to him so that he hates my people so much?", Dralvik exclaimed while hitting the table with his fist: "... and... and to think that I blamed the trolls for that... what a fool of me to fall into that thought... What has corrupted the heart of this misguided elf? and why?", Dralvik looked around looking for answers in the air, while the pieces of the puzzle were forming in his mind: "Damn you Curunfiwe!", Dralvik kicked a little stool.

"No just that sir", the lieutenant said: "Commander Baldur has sent this message from Forochel, The Blue Mountains have suffer an attacked from the forces of this very same elf, my lord. An emissary of King Cirdan, name Alphrovon the Navigator brought the message to the Ice Bay... here you got sir, it has the seal of Cirdan", the lieutenant gave the scroll to Dralvik.

"This can't be... Do we have any words of Frulvik?", asked Dralvik.

"Yes sir, Commander Baldur have point that many of the informs of Forochel were hide from your eyes my lord, by the Steward Frulvik", said the Liutenant proudly: "But more than that I can't say according to Commander Baldur. You understand, secrets of state and all that. He order me to tell you, that he will give you an update on the matter when you arrive to Khazâd-gund, my liege".

"I see...", Dralvik responded while reading the scroll again.

"The wind from the West has came to me. It've come from the war and I was just waiting here in this frozen land when my people is suferring in the very heart of my kingdom...", Dralvik said to himself. Then the king look at the liutenant and continued: "I don't know the full story. But apparently, Cirdan and the Men king are in negotiations with this King Curunfiwe. We are here supporting a fallen Queen, in order to create a safety Dwarf-Road and invest and help our dwarven friends kingdoms, and here we are half way throw... But now the only way we can really help our people is be safe guard them"

A soldier entered the tent and said, "Excuse me my Lord but a messenger has arrived from King Alexius."

"Bring him in", Dralvik said as he gestured.

Greeting! I am Aritius, of Defender's Fjord, at your service! I bring a message for your majesty, Aritius said while performing a salute and the continued: "My lord, the exalted King Alexius I Comnenus, sovereign king of Withered Heath and ruler of The Kingdom of the Defender's Fjord wishes to inform you King Dralvik, that the reign of Queen Barazturg has ended and My lord wants to extend his more deeply condolences for the sabotage of the western lands..."

"So, I´m the last one to fined out then?", Dralvik interruted: "Very well tell your king that, as he know I have to organise the things back home. As ordered, I have called off the attack on Gundabad because of your king said so... We are steel waiting to confirm an action, wether or not to send the orcs to their doom... Here the morale is going low, and the ongoing chaos in The Blue Mountians has left our supply lines dangerously vulnerable, but we can fight we always do. The Forochel Pass is all but closed due to avalanches in the mountains... To attack the orc we need more support from your king, or our legions will not withstand another raid. So there you have it, here we are with anger in our veins, with a deep feeling to get back home but we do keep our word... We always keep our word... so just tell us what do your king want and we will attack Gundabad or returned home."

----

Dralvik waits for a response from King Alexius.

.
.

Broken Tooth Tribe (message 1 of 3):

A wolf rider traipses into the camp, bringing with him a message from the Corsairs. The orc chieftain reads through it with a broad, toothy smile.

Those pirates are gettin’ ready to attack the Variag capital. And they invite us to join in on the fun! Well, now, who am I to refuse us a bit of fun?

The orcs within earshot give a few agreeable howls and rattle some swords.

Take a message back to them. Tell them we will join them in an alliance to take the fight to the Variag capital. Tell them they can count on our army massed in Nurn to move on the capital whenever they make their move. And that our army stationed in Khand will likewise move into their rear province in hope of striking a final blow to them.

But most of all, make it clear that these men from Umbar will have the privilege at first looting the city. So long as, in the long run, the territory winds up within our domain, the corsairs are welcome to extract what wealth from it they can find.”

The orcs which had previously been cheering, now quieted and gave perplexing looks to one another, even giving a few half-hearted protests. Even the wolf scout had to question this.

Are you sure about that, boss? They’re pirates, like you say. They’ll have that place stripped bare."

You’re right,” responded Snicklefritz. “They’re pirates. Which means they’ll be off to sea again, soon enough. They can’t help it. The land has no draw for them. The sea will be whispering rumors of foreign lands with even more riches than these. But while they’re here, we’ll ally-up with them and together take far more land than we could have on our own. And you boys will end up with hoards of gold so big that folks will think you’re a dragon!

Now the orcs were back to cheering and brandishing swords in menacing fashion. Orcs are an easily-persuadable bunch, ripe for anyone with a smooth tongue and a promise of coin. Snicklefritz’ toothy grin widened to reveal unsettling teeth. He began to write out his response to the corsairs, including what he’d discussed but with the addition of a silent offer of a contingent of orcs to serve on board their ships, once this was all over.

-----

Send reply to the Corsairs of an offer of alliance and a description of the battle plan to attack both Sutherland and Near Harad

Kingdom of Arthedain (message 2 of 3):

Talking with Cirdan
"So be it. You come with your troops and capture the elf king Curufinwe at The Shire, while I issue an order to cut off his retreat, in chance he tries to escape, by simultaneously attacking Cardoland and Northern Cardolan. Obviously, these attacks will be a surprise, so I won't declare war on him. After the attack and hopefully after we successfully capture him, you have to issue your renounciation of your alliance with him, or else things will become complicated."

----
Surprise attack Cardolan and Northern Cardolan with 1825 soldiers each

Kingdom of Arthedain (secret message) (message 3 of 3):

-snip-

----
Surprise attack Cardolan and Northern Cardolan with 1225 soldiers each and Eryn Vorn with 1200 soldiers
Enter a Friendship with Elvea-Falasse, so that they can walk through their land (The Shire)

.
.

Etyangoldi Alliance (message 2 of 5):

At the meeting
King Curufinwe of the Etyangoldi has misjudged the situation in The Shire. He noticed that neither of his two counterparts had any interest in hearing him or interacting with him. They came together, he tried to break the ice and mend things with the human king, all in good faith. In return, there was silence to his realm's problems.

King Curufinwe became infuriated by the lack of respect other faction leaders showed to him and decided to leave the meeting without even bothering to announce his intentions.

In Blue Mountains
Things in Blue Mountains backfired. What had to be a covert-op was quickly exposed, unfortunately for the elves of the Etyangoldi. They had to leave the province and disperse, each of the 25 taking a different route back towards Hollin. Most of them crossed the border into Numeriador, but a few took the route of Northern Lindon towards Mithlond and The Shire and one or two went towards River Lhun, to cross into Western Arthedain.

.
.

Corsairs of Umbar (message 2 of 4):

Harondor was filled with soldiers of all races; humans, orcs, elves and dwarves, all fighting side to side as soldiers of the Corsairs. The bulk of the army was composed of humans, of corsairs of the sea or other humans taken as tribute, and most of the other races were as tributes as well. The morale was not exceptional (seeing as fighters of all shapes and sizes were packed together), but there was good pay for their troubles. And, obviously, the pain of punishment for insults or brawls between those that do not share the same ideology.

Amid the preparations for the attack on Sutherland, an orc message arrived for the Corsair Commander.
"Ah, yes my lad. Come, come here, you have no reason to fear. We're all friends. All, good friends!". The orc showed the message to the Commander, and his reply was:
" An alliance will be struck immediately, if you wish. We, even as we speak, are preparing to attack Sutherland. If you want to join in the fun, certainly are welcomed! But an alliance is not something flimsical. You see, lad, we are more than prepared to take all the gold our ships can carry and all the men our ships can carry. From anyone. We're very good like that! So an Alliance, you have to offer something back, something of more value that we would get in return for our investment in an Alliance.
If you want an Alliance just to attack Sutherland, don't bother. Look around, you see? We can attack it just fine!
So what have you got to offer in return for an Alliance? Let's see, gold we have. Soldiers we are always in lack of. We would be inclined to agree to an Alliance with you come one of the two things; there is a tribute of troops every time you get reinforcements, and there is an alliance for help and support and expansion and conquest for more than 10 updates worth. You know, the kind in which you attack what I attack, and I support what you attack.

Whichever feels more fine for you and for your leader; no alliance, or yes alliance with some soldier tributes or yes alliance like good pals. If you do decide on an alliance, here, take this to your leader for him to sign. If this paper comes back signed, along with his decision, then your orcs can join in the fun in Sutherland. And, know what? You can even have Sutherland. After we take some gold away. What don't I do for my allies.

Oh, and the ruler of the Variag Order is mine."

----
Send the above message to the Broken Tooth Tribe. Ask what they want to do, if they want an alliance then Sutherland is them after the fight but they have to either accept soldier tributes every 3 updates or a real alliance for at least 10 updates

Druwaith Folk

As the quench for revenge was satisfied, the Dru folk eyes turned less evil, turned less red. They desired no more conflict, reverting to their previous state of peaceful dwellers of their own realms. Only now that their own realms have slightly extended over the borders of their old realms.

To the Defender's Fjord:
" King Alexius, you have done to us nothing wrong. We only ask to live in peace and harmony with the land, and I hope that you shall respect our decision. We extend to you a Non Aggression Pact of 5 turns, that, if you wish to accept, will certainly improve the relation between our two realms. "

A message similar to that was also sent to the Trollshaw Realm and to the Woodland Realm.

Now there was the topic of what to do with the Corsairs. They said that they want Ithilien. But Ithilien won't fall without a fight!

Move all soldiers to Dagorlad

At Angmar in his tent, Dralvik read once more the messages from King Cirdan, and smile draw on his face when he reach the part of King Minyatur joking about the nonexistence of the fire drake: "This Minyatur lad seems to be quite proud, yet naive for not trust the olds tales...", Dralvik raised his head and look at his helmet that was laying on his side of the table, brought to this frozen lands, a beautiful reddish masked-helmet with a dragon-shaped crest decorated in gold and silver.

The dwarf-king then proceded to write a response to Cirdan:

////////// To the esteemed King Cirdan //////////////
_____________________________________________________
To the esteemed King Cirdan,

My dear Friend. First, please allow me to offer my most sincere condolences. I understand that your people, like mine, have lost many families and you have my deepest sympathies. This great attack that has devastated The Blue Mountains was unexpected, I assure you.

I also understand that Nrulvim of the Blue Mountains, has send his condolences. He is a good lad, and my friend. If you need help while you are pretending to break our alliance, if you need it to, Nrulvim can send some reinforcements to you.

You can certainly appreciate the shock of the enemy while the dwarves arriving to shore at the right time to hammer their heads. You know as well as any the Iron-Breakers reputation of The Blue Mountains. If I could, I would crush Curufinwe myself but if you think that apprehend him underground is better then so be it; just let me know.

As for the recent events on the East, and the desire to comprehend what has happened, I must tell you that the those whisper words were confirmed to be true Queen Barazturg has fallen... The Woodland Realm has cease all friendships with my realm and that of King Alexius Comnenus of the Defender's Fjord, yet we are still at war with the Orcs of Gundabard and Trolls of Ettenmoors here in the North.

My army do not know yet what King Alexius movements will be but I strongly urge him to consider our full situation, of either attack Gundabad or go home. We gave our word and is up to him to decide. It has long been a dwarf-king of pride and wisdom on the East, a unique fixture in Withered Heath acording to his soldiers. So surely he will aid us in any way possible, I am quite grateful of call him ally, hopefully I will see him face to face because his soldiers speak great of him.

So summing up dear Cirdan if The Clan Frostbeard can contribute to Minyatur in any way, we will do it gladly.

Your friend,

King Dralvik ////////////////////////////////////////

Broken Tooth Tribe (message 2 of 3):

Snicklefritz reads the message from the Corsairs.

They want tribute. What do you think, can we spare any orcs?” the chieftain indicated to the messenger beside his wolf mount.

The messenger chuckled. “Of course, boss. More riches for the rest of us, eh?

Indeed, indeed. Take this reply back to the Corsairs. We will be joining them in their upcoming battle."

You question whether we would be interested in attacking further targets with you? We are orcs – there is no need to question this. You inquire whether tribute is acceptable terms? Again, we are orcs – there are always more orcs, and what do I care about their fate? You will have your tribute, when we receive reinforcements from the capital. I look forward to working with you and your crews in future raids and battles. May this arrangement see both of us prosper.

-----
Send reply back to the Corsairs agreeing to an Alliance on the terms of tribute every three updates

Corsairs of Umbar (message 3 of 4):

"Excellent. Come, join in the fun!"

----
Accept alliance with the Broken Tooth Tribe
Attack Sutherland with all forces. If win, cease the province to the Broken Tooth Tribe.

.
.

Corsairs of Umbar (secret message) (message 4 of 4):

"The plans have changed. We'll send the bulk of our forces to the Variag Order, but we'd better also go punish the DruwaithFolk and get some extra coin on the side."
----
Attack Ithilien with 2000 soldiers and Sutherland with 2600.

Elvea-Falasse (message 3 of 5):
Cirdan wondered sometimes whether he was to cautious. But now was no time for concerns such as this. He met with Gannoriel and sent her alone under the cover of darkness to the encampments on the White Downs. King Minyatur had sent word of his two pronged attack on the regions of Cardloan, daring indeed. The encirclement of Michel Delving began with redoubled efforts. In the hills the men continued to move as though a force perhaps tenfold was still there, and no fire was to wain under their watch. When the clouds obscured the moon the army split and advanced to the north and south of the city advancing outwards from Michel Delving and coming back into view of its outskirts when the linked up at the East Road. Cavalry was kept in reserve back at the original camp, for deception and as their hooves would have made to much noise. The speed and stealth of the elves would win the day. When the lines of elf soldiers stood unbroken around the city, Cirdan went with the royal custodians and a detachment of the the Gray Haven's finest warriors. These arresting forces hoped to outnumber Curufinwe's entourage threefold. Gwilwilether was given the cavalry to attack Etyangoldi breakouts and reinforcements as necessary. He hadn't informed the local Hobbits, he hoped they would be safe. They came upon Curufinwes lodgings enforce and Cirdan spoke to the Etyangoli elves present;
"I am Cirdan the Shipwright. I come to arrest your lord Curufinwe for his actions of massacre and slavery at the Redhorn Gate and Moria, for assassination and the breaking of fellowship in the Blue Mountains, and for suppressing the hearts of his subjects and leading their morality astray. Judgement from Mandos in the west or exile to the Blue Mountains is what awaits him. The full forces of Elvea-Falasse surround Michel Delving. I await word from Curufinwe. You have 5 minutes or my men and I will arrest him by force."

To the Frostbeard Clan
Dear King Dralvik,
Hello! I am the sailor from earlier, Alphrovon. Cirdan is in the Shire at the moment. Thank you for your correspondence and friendship. Much are the happenings of late. We appreciate the information from the Iron Hills as well as their kindness and we will inform you of the battles outcome, as well as updating you and the east dwarf king on the displacement of forces.
Happy fishing,
Alphrovon.

To King Minyatur with the utmost speed
Dear King Minyatur,
Well met my Lord, I am Alphrovon the Navigator of Elvea-Falasse, Cirdan is away in the Shire. The encirclement or Michel Delving is underway. I will keep you updated and our communications tight. The armies of Magolhir stand in reserve in the Shire against Curufinwe.
Tulkas give us power over evil,
Alphrovon

Etyangoldi Alliance (message 3 of 5):

At the tents there was only a small force left behind, packing the remaining tools. The soldiers of Etyangoli looked at King Cirdan with a perplexed stare, not understanding what's this about. One of them said:
"My lord, if you're looking for our King Curufinwe Fallenstar, you've just missed him. He left earlier and he is en route to Hollin, with the bulk of his guard force. We're here just to pack these things", while pointing to a large pile of tables, chairs, utensils, plates and some chests filled with clothes.

----
The King Curufinwe is no longer at his tent in The Shire, the remaining soldiers pointed to the road towards Hollin

.
.

Elvea-Falasse (message 4 of 5):
Cirdan lowered us armerment as said the the elf;
"Excuse my belligerence my kin. King Curufinwe has done wrong to many. As I announced he killed and enslaved at the Redhorn Gate and Moria, he sent men to assassinate dwarf, man, and elf. Our investigations in this matter have been through, we wouldn't act so brazenly without reason. Your party and its supplies will be searched thoroughly and in a fair and orderly fashion to ensure Curufinwe isn't amongst your number. Afterwards you are free to go and return to your lands, but I'd encourage you to resettle in Elvea-Falasse."
"In fact, send word swiftly to the mayor of the city of what is occuring, and ask them to help search the city if Curufinwe still remains. The city is to be searched in its entirety by Elvea-Falasse until the main host breaks formation and departs. Give the Hobbits are apology for the intrusiveness. We shall deliver a moderate amount of precious metals and other supplies for free as reparation for the Hobbit's woe of being caught in the middle of this."
To Gwilwilether and the cavalry
Depart with haste captain! May you go with the speed of Nessa! Your task is to find and apprehend King Curufinwe. Focus your efforts along the East Road going towards Hollin but send troops acrossed the Shire and countryside.
To King Minyatur
An update King Minyatur. The elves of Etyangoldi the yet remain in Michel Delving say that Curufinwe and his host have departed and are homeward on the East Road. The city is surrounded and will be searched in a manner to both ensure its completeness and not upset the Hobbits. Whom we have informed of the situation and offer apologies both in word and what goods we can offer. For Curufinwe to make it back to his realm still requires him to pass through your forces, as well as our cavalry patrols. Be vigilant, brave, and just my King.
Cirdan

Etyangoldi Alliance (message 4 of 5)::

Some of the troops sent by Elvea-Falasse in advance on the main roads, led by Gwilwilether, actually managed to get a glimpse of a small party marching onward. Upon a closer inspection it was actually the party of the King. At this moment the Etyangoldi Alliance does not know any other details of what happened in the mean time with the troops of Elvea-Falasse, but at one point at least two of them, along with Gwilwilether, approached the king to make him pause his travel. Unsuspecting of anything wrong, King Curufinwe paused and addressed the troops from Elvea-Falasse:
"Greetings, soldiers from the Elvea-Falasse. I recognize you, Gwilwilether. What do you want? Tell king Cirdan that I want nothing more of the 'discussions' in there. A mockery it was!"

----
The King Curufinwe is caught up by forces loyal to Elvea-Falasse, while en route to Hollin. You can now RP any messages you want directed to him. Just note that there is the King and an amount of soldiers that make up his royal guard, so if you want to capture him you may have to engage the guards as well. Right now you just caught up to him with a small advancing force, so you may want to keep him talking until you send word to the bulk of your expeditionary force to join, or you may engage him directly.

The Defender's Fjord (message 2 of 3):
King Alexius was waiting in Upper Anduin when his first messenger arrived back. "The Druwaith have accepted our request," he said. "Very good. Rest up now." The dwarf bowed and walked out. "Sir! A messenger from the Clan Frostbeard! Dralvik wishes to know the status of the attack on Gundabad." The King had an updated map brought to his throne. "Dralvik is allied with Elvea-Falasse and with Arthedain, to an extent, so his southern border is secure. Gundabad, while damaged, is well fortified and garrisoned. West Trollshaw, is neither. Ask Dralvik to prepare an attack on the Western border of Trollshaw, and to attack if I can get Gundabad to agree to a non-aggression pact, and tell him I will attack High Pass. If we can get Trollshaw out of the way, we can then take Gundabad. Ask him if he is fine with this."

Sends messenger to Clan Frostbeard
Accepts non-aggression pact with the Druwaith

.
.

Clan Frostbeard (message 4 of 4):
Having arrived the messages from King Alexius to the camp, Dralvik started to deliberate with his war council.

"Well, this war started with the so-called "Slaughter of Redhorn Gate". We were minding our own business fighting the Wolf-hides... now the wolf-hides have gone to the abyss, and now we can walk free in the land. I don't know why we engage with this matter in the East in the first place…", said the commander clad in steel chain mail and bearing a war-pick he scratched his white beard.

"The Wooden Enclave claimed that the evil-heart elves invaded the land without provocation", said the commander with the forged mask helmet while uncovering his face: "…and the trolls slaved over a thousand citizens before being driven off of Angmar".

"Aye! We kick the trolls out of Angmar because of the reports of Emyn Uial, if I remember correctly Commander Baldur proposed to send the bear-hunter party", exclaimed one of the lords.

"Indeed… and he was right…", said the commander whit white beard: "and we find out that the troll warchief was planning to attack Mirkwood. We gave our word to the Queen Barazturg, may Mahal keep her glory, to avenge this fallen dwarves... the Queen in gone but we oath to defend the our kin. We gave the first strike, but now the Wooden Enclave has cut all relations with us. We need them back to our pact... this well the dwarves will prosper, we should send word to them, maybe send Frulvik".

"I don't think he is up to the task, a shadow fellow that one", said one lord.

"We will discuse diplomacy later, we need to plan our next move my lords", King Dralvik said: "Apparently, our friend King Alexius is deflecting all the orcs and trolls forces towards the east. That give us and advantage".

"The moment to prepare your offense is the moment the enemy becomes vulnerable to attack", said the commander with the forged mask helmet.

"Indeed, I suggest we send a division to the southeast. The Iron-Breakers will do just find. Although we might split their forces into smaller groups. That way we will gain ground more quickly", proudly said a commander clad in white and blue chain mail and plate armor.

"When the Iron-Breakers arrive to Upper Rhuduar and prepare the ground, we should still reinforce our borders... I speak for myself but I don't like surprises. We no need another sabotage in our lands", a lord said.

"Aye, you are right my lord, We will split the Emyn Uial division... and reinforce the west...", Dralvik said: "After that we will push towards the High pass and meet King Alexius, all agree?"

"Aye!": the lords and commanders responded making echo in the tent.

Dralvik continued: "Send word to King Alexius, tell him that we will push from the western border until we meet on the battlefield in Ettenmoors to give the final strike."

The lords and the commanders left the tent, and Dralvik took out his journal and wrote:

I have dwelt among the snow,
My city carved from ice and stone.
I yearn to see you one more time,
And warm the soul which makes my home.

----

Sends message to King Alexius, agreeing to his proposal of attacking the western border of the troll's realm.
Attacks Upper Rudhaur with the force of Forochel (965 Soldiers).
Sends 65 soldiers from Emyn Uial to reinforce River Lhun.

.
.

Elvea-Falasse (message 5 of 5):
The scouts had preplanned for a situation like this, Gwilwilether responded;
"Exaulted King Curufinwe, please excuse are disrespectfulness. The reason for our behavior at Michel Delving was that we needed to ensure secrecy as we have renounced are alliance with the Frostbeards and redeployed some troops along the border. The idea being that if King Dralvik II retaliated his men would be unprepared for our forces and they could be defeated. Also we needed to ensure the loyalty of Arthedain in this matter. When Cirdan discovered you had departed he sent scouts to find you and inform and apologize on our nation's behave. If it pleases you could you come with us back to the Shire? Cirdan and Minyatur would like to discus with you what are next course of action is to be"
Motioning to the rider on the left with the horn she said to Curufinwe;
"We where to sound horns to inform the other scouts they may stop their search. Please excuse the noise."
**Lound Horn Nosies**

Back in Michel Delving Cirdan, Gannoriel, and Magolhir heard the alarm of Curufinwe's location. By the rhythm of the horn blasts it could be discerned that currently Curufinwe was unaware of the true situation and uncaptured. Thus the majority of the army departed with a few remaining to see that the remaining Etyangoldi elves stayed put until they could depart without risk to the task at hand. A location was found along the road east of the city where the woods could conceal the men at arms, Cirdan, Gannoriel, and the unarmed delegation where unhidden. As for the other cavalrymen sent out they went to join up with Gwilwilether and Curufinwe.

Await reaction of Curufinwe

The Defender's Fjord (message 3 of 3):
King Alexius was getting frustrated. No response from Arthedain or Elvea-Falasse! Perhaps his emissary hadn't arrived or had been killed? No, he must have faith, he thought. Behind him, a scribe walked in, "My Lord," he said. The message to King Cvog is ready." The King replied, "Good, have a runner deliver it." The scribe nodded and left.

////////////////////////////////////////////////
///////////// Non-Aggression Pact with Gundabad
////////////////////////////////////////////////

King Cvog, this fighting helps no one. You are to well defended in Gundabad, and I am too well-entrenched in Upper Anduin, this has become a stalemate. I propose a non-aggression pact, so we can heal, and maybe become allies if all is forgiven?

The Empire of Coldvar:
"Sir, we have been sitting for months now."

"Yes, we have."

"We could attack the Elves or the Corsairs."

"We could."

"Hell, we could align ourselves with the Elves, and then destroy the Orcs."

"We could."

"Sir are you listening to me?"

"No."

*Nikolai is standing at the back of his tent reading a book. He looks up at the Lieutenant addressing him. Nikolai places the book on his desk and walks toward the the officer.

"It seems someone has not been properly trained."

*The Emperor grabs his sword and draws it out of the sheath. The black blade gleams in the candle light. A loud growling can be heard from outside of the tent. Nikolai stops and slips his sword back into his sheath.

"Go."

"Yes, sir."

*The officer leaves. After a few seconds a large head parts the tents flaps.

Nikolai.

"Aldira, how are you?"

Good, but it seems you were about to part that soldiers head.

"Another officer who thinks he matters to the Empire. But, I showed him his fate."

You did do that. Anyway, how are the plans coming?

"They are stopped. Until I find out what the corsairs are doing."

What about the army in the north?

"They are stopped at the Elves border. Recent reports of a large Elvish Army sitting opposite of our province."

Do you think they will invade?

"Probably not, but Elves are very unpredictable. Maybe they have spotted our forces. They probably think we are going to invade."

What an odd situation. What are your plans?

"Not to mess with the Elves. We shall go around them."

What do you mean?

"You shall see."

-----------------------------------------------------
The Empire does not respond to the Corsairs, the message never arrived.

.
.

Etyangoldi Alliance (message 5 of 5):

On the road
"Fairly well", King Curufinwe replied. "If there are plans made in secret, that I was not aware of, but that ultimately benefit our alliance, then I am eager to hear them", he added.

King Curufinwe and his party of royal bodyguards turned their horses around and began a slow march back towards the meeting place. One could notice that with each passing moment the king's and his bodyguards' clothes were starting to radiate ever so slightly more of a blueish aura, intensifying as they marched towards the meeting place. Upon a closer observation, the armor that they hid underneath their garments was the one that was shining in blue, a reminder of the skill of elvensmiths of the First Age but assumed lost throughout time.

After a while, on the road
The King was starting to get restless, as his armor started to radiate even more so in blue.
"Gwilwilether, are you sure that these roads are safe? Something's wrong. I can feel it. You should better remain here, while me and my guards investigate." In the distance you could hear horse trampling, as more of Cirdan cavalry converged with Gwilwilether and his small party.

.
.

Gundabad Dwellers:

The orcs captured a dwarf that carried a message for Cvog. The dwarf was escorted to see Cvog, and upon receiving the message and reading it, Cvog replied:
" Ahh, yes. Your King's smart. I remind to him that we were minding our own business on our territories of Gundabad, High Pass and Upper Anduin, before dwarves came knocking things around. Now High Pass is lost, Upper Anduin is lost, and Gundabad is under siege for so many days now. But the fortress of Gundabad is there so heavily fortified for a reason, and it won't fall very soon.

So now you ask for a Non Aggression Pact with us. You, that still have Upper Anduin, come to us and say ... what? That you're not good enough to kill us and steal Gundabad from us, so let's be friends until you get enough soldiers in your pockets to attack Gundabad? There's no guarantee of your offer for me here, it looks like you're just stalling time. If that's so, I'd rather die fighting than hiding like a dog until you double-cross your word, as you did once more not long ago.

If you king is true to his word, then let him show his word's worth to us. Not with these empty promises of lets be friends, when both me and him know that he's after Gundabad. And if not, then we'll meet on the battlegrounds. And know that you are free to walk back to him with your life and with your head still on your shoulders, because I'm not as petty as your king."

----
Send above message to the Defender's Fjord, refusing the above offer of a Non Aggression Pact on the grounds that its not serious
