Notes
South Baba national politics have featured a defined party system since the mid 20th century. Usually, all members of the unicameral House of Assembly belong to a political party as independent MHAs are a rare occurrence.
While the South Baban political landscape has been dominated by the Social Democratic Front and the People's Republican Party since independence, smaller parties have been needed to form stable parliamentary majorities since the arrival of federalism during the 1990s. Currently (as of July 2022), eight parties have parliamentary representation.
