The Empire is understood to have been driven to expand because the reliance on the isthmus at Longhaul to transport freight into Siegerland had become untenable.

Trade through Siegerland has exploded since Polis and New Zuur were incorporated into the Empire. Goods will now also travel northeast through Mouwzall and though the city of Newhaul to Alexandria and the new port of Port Isthmia.

Forces securing this territory are understood to have been told by Sieger to continue pushing west into the lands of the collapsed nation Nova Caelston and to claim more land for the Empire.

A new city, intended to be a key Imperial city, is being built upon an island in the Caelstonian Gulf which lies roughly at the centre of the continent. It is to be called Valtameri City.

The Empire has also extended the borders of Ksarka and Elizabeth westwards, bringing further Valtamerian wastelands into the Empire's control. Much of this land was uninhabited, but the ancient Wnes city of Ša Coda on the southern coast has been taken over by the Empire and incorporated into the Autarchy of Elizabeth.

The Empire has also claimed territory on the continent of Epilo for the first time. Known simply as the Oceani Epilo Territory, the city of Oceanipolis has been established on the continent's jungle coastline and is intended as a further trade hub.

A portion of the new territory is understood to be intended for military purposes. Already construction has begun on a massive naval installation to be known as 'Fortuna Base'.
