There has been a long and on-going debate (ever since Agualia joined Libertas) about if we, as a nation, should transition from our currency, the Cado, or if we should embrace the Libermark which is the official currency of the Libertas region (according to the region law "Regional Currency Act" enacted on the 9th of June 2017.
The government has officially decided that we are holding a referendum with our great people to see if Agualia is embarrassing a new currency, or keeping its traditional and long-standing Cado.
The referendum will take place on the 6th of June 2020. We encourage all registered voters to go to the polls and make their voice heard, for the better of our nation.

Thank You

Signed by Prime-Minister Matias Sousa Corte-Real

Firstly, I would like to thank the millions that went out to vote today, it is essential that people go vote like they did today, to keep our democracy alive. The Agualian people decided today that they would not want Agualia to transition to the Libermark, the official common currency of the Libertas region.
After today's vote, the government of Agualia announces that it will not be joining the common currency proposed by the Libertas Union but instead, we have begun talks with the Grand Duchy of Groenevelt to create a common currency between the two, the Cado!

Thank You everyone for having voted and made your voice heard!

Signed by Prime-Minister Matias Sousa Corte-Real
