Within the Region of Anteria there shall exist certain offenses onsite that a player may not commit. These acts shall be defined into a criminal code, enforced by the Director of Enforcement and followed up by the Director of Justice. The criminal code shall be as follows:
Section 1 - Offense Categories
Capital Offenses shall be the first and top tier of offenses. Capital offenses are defined as any crime that seriously disrupts the onsite or offsite functions of the regional government or threaten regional integrity or members involved with malicious intent in a severe manner.
Felonies shall be the second tier of offenses. Felonies are defined as any crime that seriously disrupts the onsite or offsite functions of the regional government or well-being of the members of Anteria with malicious intent in a serious manner.
Misdemeanors shall be the third and bottom tier of offenses. Misdemeanors are defined as any crime that disrupts the onsite or offsite functions of the government or well-being of the members of Anteria with or without malicious intent.
Section 2 - Capital Offenses
Section 2.1 - Definitions
Capital Offenses shall be the following:
Treason - The attempt to rebel against, illegally overthrow, or betray the legal government of Anteria or otherwise permanently disrupt or hinder the functions of regional security or integrity of the region of Anteria.
Espionage - The act of infiltrating regional property, collecting information, or leaking secure information to outside entities.
Sedition - The act of inciting treason.
Section 2.2 - Punishment
Capital offense shall carry a minimum sentence of a removal from the region for a period of six months and may extend up into permanent removal. This, and any additional punishments, shall be determined by the Director of Justice through a court hearing in accordance to Article I of these accords.
In addition to removal from the region, those who commit the offenses of treason or espionage against the region of Anteria shall, in the event of their return to the region, be permanently barred from positions of government, moderation, or other such responsibilities related to onsite or offsite activity of the region of Anteria unless appealed in accordance to Article I of these accords.
Section 3 - Felonies
Section 3.1 - Definitions
Felonies offenses shall be the following:
Bribery - The act of inciting actions through promises of favors or gifts.
Unlawful Disclosure - The act of a member making secure information known to internal entities that do not have legal access to said information.
Impersonation - The act of fraudulently representing oneself as another member of the community.
Voter Fraud - The act of falsifying information, importing outside entities, or compromising voting counts to manipulate voting processes.
Extortion - Obtaining something or attempting to obtain something through force or threats.
Identity Fraud - The act of falsifying one’s identity or purposefully neglecting to provide information on one’s identity.
Repeated Offense - Chronic or habitual violation of Anterian misdemeanor offenses.
Section 3.2 - Punishment
Felonies carry a maximum sentencing of removal from the region for a period of three months but no more. The exact punishment shall be determined by the Director of Justice through a court hearing in accordance to Article I of these accords.
Section 4 - Misdemeanors
Section 4.1 - Definitions
Defamation - The act of misrepresenting another member of the community for personal or political gain.
Judicial Contempt- The attempt to disrupt judicial procedure or the demonstration of flagrant disregard to judicial procedure.
Conspiracy - The act of working with others to plan to commit or conceal crimes or to aid others to commit or conceal crimes.
Unlawful Recruitment - The act of recruiting members to outside organizations and regions without the express consent of the regional government of Anteria or poaching others for membership within Anteria from outside bodies without the expressed consent of the regional powers of said bodies.
Harassment - Behavior that intentionally demeans, humiliates or embarrasses a person.
Coercion - Persuading someone to do something that would violate onsite or offsite Anterian or NationStates site rules.
Section 4.2 - Punishment
Misdemeanors shall carry a maximum sentencing of removal from the region for a period of three weeks but no more. The exact punishment shall be determined by the Director of Justice through a court hearing in accordance to Article I of these accords.
Repeated misdemeanor offenses may be bumped to a felony should the Director of Justice feel necessary under Felony offense “Repeated Offense” as defined by Article 3, Section 3, Subsection 1, Line 5.
