NAME-HaLE/UAV-11A1 Silverbird UAV, Extended Range Multi-Purpose (ERMP).

SENSOR NAMES-Common Sensor Payload (CSP), Abraham-III SAR/GMTI Payload, and Tactical SIGINT Pod.

FUNCTION-The HaLE/UAV-11A1, Silverbird UAV, while using the CSP, Airborne Reconnaissance-Low (ARL), and/or Tactical SIGINT Pod, will provide the division and military intelligence brigade (MIB) with improved situational awareness to permit forces to maneuver from a position of advantage with greater speed and precision.

DESCRIPTION-The HaLE/UAV-11A1 Silverbird UAV Battalion, consists of launch and recovery equipment; five ground control stations; and twelve aircraft with payloads. This system is also SATCOM and Air Data Relay (ADR) capable to support IP-based beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) operations. The CSP is an EO/IR/LD sensor that provides full-motion video capability. The Abraham-III SAR/GMTI payload provides near all-weather still imagery and moving target indicator capability. The Tactical SIGINT Pod provides precision geo-location of intercepted modern signal capability. The Tactical SIGINT Pod is a complementary and evolutionary SIGINT capability to Great-Range Common Sensor (GRCS), Airborne Reconnaissance-Low (ARL), Enhanced-Medium Altitude reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS), and the airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (AISR), and provides an additional dimension to manned-unmanned (MUM) teaming by covering SIGINT gaps. The HaLE/UAV-11A1, Silverbird UAV, also has external hardpoints that are capable of supporting payload pods or weapons.

CAPABILITIES-The HaLE/UAV-11A1, Silverbird UAV, uses IMINT and SIGINT payloads to provide multi-intelligence collection and support to the brigade combat team (BCT).
