List of Roman Wars

The following is a list of wars fought by the entirety of Roman civilization, from the first Kingdom 753 BC–509 BC, Medieval Eastern Empire of 395–1453 AD, and the reconstituted Latin Western Empire of 1455 to today. Wars focused on the western successive states, such as the second Kingdom of Rome, Empire of Italia, and the resulting Roman Empire resurgence after the reunification of east and west, take priority. Wars of antiquity and of the Byzantine period will come later, do not expect much in depth about these wars, others may garner their own unique articles.

List of Conflicts since the 1800's
Third Japanese War of Reclamation
Results - White Peace, Rome cedes it's remaining territory in Japan on the promise that Japanese Christians will not be prosecuted, in turn, Rome restricted itself to Japanese Sakoku.

First Barbary War
Results - Victory against Barbary Coast and Ottoman Empire, corrupt officials sacked.

War of the Third Coalition
Results - Victory on the side of France.

Second Incan Rebellion
Results - Victory against Incan Rebels, Terra Aurelius remains under Roman control.

War of the Fourth Coalition
Results - Victory on the side of France.

Roman-Ottoman War of 1809
Results - Victory, some of the Balkan territory returned to Rome.

Mexican War of Independence
Results - Victory for Mexican secessionist, favorable treaties between Rome and newly created Empire of Mexico, Mexican ports lent to Rome for use for up to 12 years.

War of the Sixth Coalition
Results - Partial Defeat, Rome signs truce mid war, hostilities with Spain continues.

War of 1812
Results - Stalemate between United States and the British Empire, further damage done to Spanish territory in the new world.

Spanish-Roman War of 1814
Results - Stalemate, Spanish forces too weakened to continue, Roman concerns about another Ottoman offensive for the Balkans results in white peace.

Second Barbary War
Results - Victory, reconquest of North Africa, Weakening of Ottoman power in the region.

Greek War of Independence
Results - Victory, Greek independence from Ottoman Empire, status of Greek client kingdom by 1832.

Roman-Ottoman War of 1833
Results - Victory, Cyprus becomes an independent state.

Revolution of 1848
Results - Victory, revolutionaries executed.

Second Opium War
Results - Victory on the side of the British. 8 million taels in payment to Rome, permanent diplomatic presence in Beijing.

American Civil War
Results - Victory on the side of the Union, minor Roman involvement.

Second Franco-Mexican War
Results - Victory on the side of Mexico, Roman involvement limited to skirmishing and strongly worded letters.

Shimonoseki Campaign
Results - Allied Victory, Japan becomes a tributary of Rome until 1900.

Bear War
Results - Victory against Russia, Crimea ceded to Rome.

Roman-Ottoman War of 1878
Results - Victory, Macedonia is released from the Ottomans as a Roman client kingdom.

Roman Conquest of Morocco
Results - Victory, Morocco is conquered and integrated into the Empire.

Greco-Turkish War
Results - Victory on the side of Greece, Greek and Macedonian independence guaranteed, Crete relinquished to Greece.

Spanish-American War
Results - Victory on the side of America, acquisition of Spanish territory previously held by Rome, as well as reconquest of the mediterranean coast of Iberia.

War of African Secession
Results - Victory against Mandinka rebels, the spreading of Roman culture continues in the Ivory Coast.

Sino-Roman War/Boxer Rebellion
Results - Victory, Chinese relinquishment of territory to Rome, officials responsible for the outbreak of hostilities executed, abdication of Empress Dowager Cixi, ascension of a pro-Roman dynasty to the throne, China becomes a Roman tributary until 1918.

Roman Conquest of Somaliland
Results - Victory, Roman territory in the Horn of Africa expands, Ethiopia becomes a Roman client kingdom.

Roman-Ottoman War of 1908
Results - Stalemate, mismanagement leads to military reforms.

First Balkan War
Results - Victory, Ottoman territory conquered is divided between the Balkan states. Ottomans forced to pay reparations to Rome.

Second Balkan War
Results - Victory, Bulgaria becomes a client kingdom of Rome, Ottoman advanced halted, Greek and Macedonian unification.

World War I
Results - Victory on the side of the Allied Powers, Roman Triumph over the Ottoman Empire, Triumph over Germany. Integration of the Balkans under the Roman Empire, Rome last standing continental empire in Europe.

Third Balkan War
Results - Victory, Various Balkan rebels defeated.

World War II
Results - Victory on the side of the Allied Powers, Triumph over Spain, all of Iberia is integrated into the Empire. Collapse of Nazi Germany, Germany is split between a democratic West Germany from the allies, a communist East Germany from the Soviets, and a monarchical South Germany by Rome, ruled under Victoria Louise. France becomes a Roman client state as reparations for failing to stop Germany due to their incompetence.

Roman Conquest of Anatolia
Results - Victory, Triumph over Turkey, Asia minor is reclaimed.

Korean War
Results - Stalemate, no decisive victor could be determined.

African Independence Wars
Results - Victory, however Rome relinquishes it's remaining colonies in Africa, regardless if they were a part of the rebellion, some of the former colonies join the Roman Commonwealth.

Communist Civil War/Crisis of the 20th Century/War of Two Romes
Results - Victory, Communist revolutionaries and ringleaders executed, Iberia retained, Carthage retained, Asia minor retained.

French Revolution
Results - Victory, French Communist are defeated, French status as a Roman client state ends.

Vietnam War
Results - Initial Defeat, Roman Victory in 1978, Vietnam becomes a client state in the Roman Commonwealth.

Ethiopian Civil War
Results - Victory, pro Roman/anti soviet leadership established.

Roman Conquest of Egypt
Results - Victory, Northern Egypt is conquered by Rome, the remainder becomes a client state.

Conquest of Lebanon
Results - Victory, Lebanon annexed by Rome.

Gulf War
Results - Victory for Coalition Forces.

Somali Civil War
Results - Ongoing

War on Terror
Results - Ongoing

Iraq War
Results - Victory, Major conquest from both Rome and Persia.

Mexican Drug War
Results - Ongoing, Roman consultation and training for Mexican forces, suspected international gang violence between Mexican cartels and various Mafia.

Gaza War
Results - Victory, Israel becomes a semi-dependent Provence of the Roman Empire. Triumph of the Mediterranean, Mare Nostrum is finally achieved.

Libyan Intervention
Results - Victory, Libya becomes a Roman client state.

Syrian Intervention
Results - Victory, Syria is annexed by the Roman Empire.

Iraq Rebellion
Results - Victory, rebels defeated soundly by joint Roman-Persian missions.
