Instrument of Government Amendment I

Special Election Law
  • The Monarchy of the Labyrinth may call for special elections outside of the regularly scheduled election period. They may do this with the consent of the WA Delegate, whose position is not eligible to be called to a special election.

  • Voters shall have to register at least two days prior to the beginning of a special election, or one day for Class 1 Citizens.

  • A list of eligible voters will be posted on the day of the special election.

  • All other election rules outlined in this Instrument of Government.

Regional Council of the Labyrinth

  • The Regional Council of the Labyrinth shall henceforth be the chief legislative body of the region.

  • There shall be three members of the Regional Council of the Labyrinth.

  • Elections for the Regional Council of the Labyrinth shall be held from the 13th-15th of each month, with each seat having a term of three months. On the foundation of the Council, all three seats shall be elected concurrently, with the three most voted nations being elected. All elections thereafter shall be for a single seat on the Council, with the seat of the lowest voted member of the Council having their seat up for election on the 13th of the first month after the foundation election, the second most voted two months after, and the Councilmember who gained the most votes on the third month.

  • The Regional Council shall elect from amongst itself a Speaker of the Council, who shall be confirmed by the Monarch, and shall enforce the rules governing the Council.

  • The Council shall determine its rules of operation.

  • The Council shall have legislative power within the Labyrinth, with the power to pass binding acts and laws to govern the Labyrinth, its people, and the operation of its government. All laws must be passed by an absolute majority vote within the Council, and will come into force upon the signature of the reigning Monarch.

  • Any member of the Council may submit legislation to the Council.

  • Legislation created by the Council shall not interfere with the principles and rules outlined by this Instrument of Government.

Amending the Constitution

  • The Regional Council of the Labyrinth may submit amendments to this Instrument of Government.

  • Should the Council unanimously vote in favor of the proposed amendment, it shall be added to the Instrument of Government with the consent of the Monarchy.
