The amendment seeks to better suit the language to the Constitutional responsibilities of the Speaker and match it to current legislative practice.
The amendment shall be implemented immediately following its passing into law.
Passed by the General Assembly on 10 April 2020. Required a majority in favour to pass.

The discussions of legislation within the General Assembly shall be made viewable to all citizens through the following channels:
The formal channels in which the General Assembly debates and discusses legislation
The posting of a formal statement on the Regional Message Board by all Members of the General Assembly who voted on an item justifying their decision within 48 hours of the General Assembly vote on said item concluding
All General Assembly votes on legislation shall be viewable to the public
The details of the vote, including the vote of each member, shall be published on the Regional Message Board
The formal channels of discussion and voting within the General Assembly shall be made freely accessible to the public
When voting on any legislative matter, every Member of the General Assembly who casts a vote shall express a reason for their stance
Within 48 hours of the conclusion of any vote in the General Assembly, the Speaker shall post a statement on the Regional Message Board with the outcome, as well as the expressed reason of every Member of the General Assembly who cast a vote for legislative matters
