Early Life
Getu was born to his parents, Juniper and Telrah and he is an only child. His mother, Telrah, was one of the last of the Gollian tribes who were wiped out in a tragic famine in 1995 when Getu was just 16, and she doesn't let anybody forget that.
Getu's birth was during a particularly difficult time for the Helenburg tribe. The summer was particularly dry, making the rolling plains of their migration route dry and unwelcome for animals and people alike. Their tribe was forced to cull more animals from their herd than usual, and it took many years to rebound. This was not a good omen for the few children born during this time.
Getu, however, thrived. He walked sooner than others his age, and his mother Telrah often brought him with her on hunting and gathering trips away. Getu learned quickly to be quiet and watch, and how to speak without actually speaking. He was described as an introspective and watchful child, and these traits didn't change much as he aged.
Life
Getu grew into a giant, solid man. He was skilled with horseback riding, hunting, and tracking. He also had a seemingly infinite knowledge of plants, and raised his own herb garden that he took care of tenderly. He often brought new sprouts with him on his travel, to ensure they were watered and loved.
Getu met Amara as children, playing as children did. Although seven years her senior, Getu was particularly drawn to play with Amara as she was just as rough and tumble as he was. As they grew older, they would often go hunting together in long comfortable silences. At night, under the stars, Getu would talk to Amara about anything and everything. He was an incredibly observant person.
When Amara returned from her trip full of ideas, he was happy to listen and support his friend. He made kind suggestions, questioned her ideals, and generally provided insights Amara hadn't thought of before. It was only natural that when Amara succeeded, Getu was asked to be her Royal Adviser. He laughed at the offer, but accepted.
Personal Life
Getu has had several suitors over his years, but none of any lasting quality. His longest relationship was with Hyria of Lintel, which lasted all of three months until she ran off from homesickness.
