Codex of Dv: M1 Girsyrsivaakhs APC

The M1 Armoured Personnel Carrier is a popular armoured vehicle employed by the DDF. The armor on the M1 consists of a heavy front plating made of ERA and the rest of the craft (and under the ERA), being covered in a composite titanium-steel armor, with carbon nano-tube cushioning between plates. The plating is resistant to small arms fire, but SLAM mines, direct artillery strikes, and hollow point shells can cause significant damage to the vehicle (and in some cases complete destruction of it, with the exception of hollow point which will kill the crew). The armaments include a single autocannon and a 12.7 mm caliber HMG mounted near an access hatch on the top of the vehicle for a typical infantry. The 30 mm autocannon can fire a wide variety of shells, but mostly uses High Explosive Dual Purpose for infantry encounters, and Hollow Point or Armor Piercing for encounters with other armored vehicles. Recon varieties only have the machine gun, while fire support will have an additional 120 mm mortar attached to the back as opposed to an autocannon. There has been talk of adding a 120 mm barrel, but this is currently unconfirmed and General Houte himself has said it goes against the DDF military doctrine.
