Mexican military forces in Yucatan

Mexican Army locks down quarry in Yucatan

Since the crash landing of an Unidentified Extraterrestrial Object in Montana that happened last Saturday, the world has been abuzz with hypotheses, theories and questions as to what landed and from where it originated. Lately eyes have turned to Mexico where local Army forces have recently evacuated and garrisoned a quarry in the state of Yucatan.

It is said that a manager at the quarry contacted the local government after workers broke into an undiscovered subterranean complex littered with human remains and reportedly containing a kind of ritual site, with an alter before a smooth column in the centre of the room. "It was very ominous and I felt this instinctive drive to get out of there, to get away as fast as I could," says Martín Noboa, 31, a worker at the quarry who nearly fell into the room.

Since the quarry was evacuated and Mexican military forces moved in there has been no comment from neither the federal government nor the Secretariat of National Defense with the exception of confirmation that Army personnel have temporarily closed down the quarry. Locals are concerned at how long the quarry will be closed as many depend upon it for wages to feed their families. Lucía Cazalla, 43, mother of 3 and whose husband is a miner had this to say: "My family’s livelihood depends on the quarry. My husband works there for the money to feed us, and we could starve without it. I hope the army moves out soon."
