Armaments - Hircine Spear Missile Family

The Hircine Spear Missiles is a family of missiles developed and manufactured by Hydra Industries - Port Ember, mainly in use by the Port Ember Security Forces Navy. It forns a critical central component of the modern Trident Naval Combat System, utilised in both offensive and defencive roles.

All the missiles in the family line shares 80% sinilarities, but each individual missile (called a 'Class') has a few small adaptions made, to ensure that it performs at its possible best for the specific purpose its been designated to.

The missile family covers a wide range of functionality, which enables its user (the Trident Naval Combat System) to be fully fuctional and flexible on the battlefield.

Due to its purpose fulfilled, the Port Emberian Security Forces have dubbed it as "a range of naval missiles", altough current development is taking place to adapt it for ground use.

The missiles sole lauching platform at the moment is the Tridento Vertical Launch System.

Development

Hydra Industries started work on the family range on commision from the Port Ember Security Forces in early 2016. The missiles passed its final tests and declared ready for service in mid 2019.

The Port Ember Security Forces had learned from actual combat operations that although their new and modern navy and weapon systems was indeed effective, but there was definitely room for improvement. And due to the fact that Port Ember has grown into a respected regional power, she has attracted several giant and modern potential enemies. Thus Port Ember had a need of once again upgrading their missile systems to ensure that they remain unmatched on the international stage and ensure their dominance over the ocean. Thus the Hircine Spear Class missile family was born.

The missile family was named after the Port Emberian pagan deity and its myhtical weapon - Hircine, the Lord of Hunting.

Variants

The Hircine Spear is a Port Emberian missile family range of 5 variant missiles, designed and manufactured by Hydra Industries, intended to be used as part of the Trident Naval Combat System, and covers a wide range of functions and duties. These missiles shares the same basic design concept, with a few specialised differences to ensure that they excell in their designated roles. These variants include:

- Hircine Spear-Class A (Point-Defence Missile)

- Hircine Spear-Class B (Anti Air Missile)

- Hircine Spear-Class C (Anti Ship Missile)

- Hircine Spear-Class D (Land Attack Missile)

- Hircine Spear Class E (Anti Ballistic Missile)
