Demochronikle Anniversary

Hello hello Democratika, what a fine day it is! I'm ecstatic to write this issue of The Demochronikle because if you check the news archive you'll see that I started The Demochronikle 1 year and 1 day ago today! Why, yes, our little bouncing baby boy has finally grown up and seen their very first birthday. In the blink of an eye we'll see The Demochronikle learn to ride a bike, have its first kiss with its steady girl behind the bleachers, go off to college for the first time, go off to college for the second time, and finally gun for that promotion! It is a long road ahead, Democratika, and this is definitely not the end.

The Great Settling

Last night an idea floated around the council, namely between the founder and minister of defense, to grow the region in an entirely different way: by growing the region's off site holdings. Starting sometime roughly this week citizens will be able to file for settler status and work closely with a member of government on creating their own region sponsored accounts, more on this later.

Elections Over the Horizon

It's finally September, and you know what that means: elections! Sometime at the end of the month we'll be starting our next round of elections with a standardized system yet to be established. We here on the council understand how giddy people get when they hear elections are right around the corner. Well settle down there, sport, no need to whistle from your dimples just yet! Our robust system of holding elections together with duct tape and grease has yet to be refined and hopefully we'll have more seats available before they start.

Spring Cleaning!

After a couple turbulent months the Democratika is finally getting a spring cleaning! Not only have the officers gone to work to get a telegram api (and this new regular newspaper) a decision was made to leave The Ascendancy Federation to look after the home front. Letskia was seen leaving the region momentarily before coming back with a promise to rewrite the WFE as well as the welcome telegram with help from his good friend (and local Discord radio host) Akarea. Yes, it finally looks like the Democratika has gotten the spring back in its step! Along with this new found activity a new flag is being voted on as we speak. Keep your eyes peeled for new additions of the Demochronikle to keep up to date about local happenings. This is the UDSR signing off with the promise of lengthier, thiccer news entries soon!
