History
After taking office in 2086, General Aizen soon realized that the standard rifle of the
Krimzon Guard, the JAR series was simply outdated and inadequate. The GSAR series used by
the Krimzon Spear was a decent rifle but lacked range. Furthermore, he wanted to standardize
the weapons used across the entire military. This led to the development and eventual
production of the Aizen Assault Rifle or AAR for short.
The AAR was notable for it's lengthy barrel which was added to increase the range of the
rifle because numerous soldiers had noted that the JAR and GSAR series weren't able to
compete across greater distances. This however led to the rifle being heavy and generally
unwieldy by most. while the rifle was decent in terms of accuracy and rate of fire, is was
difficult to use partly due to it's long length of pull which had the user lower their
shoulder to meet the stock, then raise their head to look through the scope, and finally
reach their arm forward as far as they could do reach the foregrip. This made even this
shortest variants of the rifle unusable to smaller shooters.
The AAR saw little action in peacekeeping missions abroad but didn't encounter any major
issues during it's deployment. While the AAR wasn't perfect it was considered an improvement
on the previous designs and was adopted universally by the Krimzon Guard, and has been in
use continually until 2130 when development of the AAR-F began.

Following a number of tests on foreign rifle designs in the hopes of finding a decent
replacement, the Krimzon Guard came up short and decided it would have no other choice but
to attempt to modernize the existing JAR and AAR-F designs. The two design teams were to
compete against each other in the hopes of speeding up development. Unfortunately this had
the opposite effect leading to an underwhelming modernization of the JAR. It feature the
same overall design but with a few changes to the handguard, an ACOG scope, and a modern
grenade launcher. These weren't bad inclusions, but the weapon offered nothing in terms of
performance upgrades.
Meanwhile, development of the new modernized AAR(known then as the AAR-MD, MD meaning
Modern) had been making huge strides. The first priority of the design team was to reduce
the length of pull and make the gun more manageable in general. The first change made was to
simply move the forward grip all the way back near the magazine, which both made it easier
to reach and also opened up room for a bipod or in some cases a grenade launcher. Second,
the ACOG scope which had previously been mounted on top of the carry handle was instead,
integrated into the rear portion of the carry handle nearest the shooter, while a long
vertical hole was created across the front portion in order to allow the use to see through.
This helper to resolve the problem of the user having to raise their head to look through
the scope. The third major change, was to abandon the long used 'shotgun' stock which had
been in use going all the way back the the JAR-43 in 2009. This was replaced by the new
'hollow' side folding stock which was shorter by nature(not to mention lighter), but could
be folded as the name suggest, to make the rifle more compact which mainly assisted in
transporting it and climbing in and out of vehicles. The next change made was to swap out
the M4 style magazine which had been used by the AAR, with a textured magazine with a small
window which would allow the used to quickly determine how many rounds were left. The final
change made was shorten the barrel without impacting the range. This was easily the most
difficult challenge but it was eventually accomplished by utilizing new experimental rifling
and switching to synthetic materials which changed the way the bullet interacted with the
barrel. But now the true test would come, presenting the competing AAR-MD(now renamed the
AAR-F) and the JAR-KK to the Rexzich Council.

In early 2139, the new Rexzich government decided it was time to resolve the standardized
weapon issue once and for all. Two competing rifle designs were presented to the new Khaos
Council for evaluation; the JAR-KK and the AAR-F series. It was clear almost immediately that
the AAR-F was the better design and that more would be gained by adopting the AAR-F than the
JAR-KK. Following the evaluation, work on the JAR-KK was discontinued and the order was
given to pursue development of the AAR-F in full. A final draft was delivered in late 2139
and final testing and evaluation began at Ishi Testing Grounds, Section 130 on New Year's
Day in 2140. The AAR-F series is currently undergoing evaluation but if adopted will become
the new standard weapon of the Krimzon Guard.
