Carthage Airport

Carthage Airport (IATA: CAT) is the main international airport of the city of Carthage , its surrounding metropolitan area. The airport is located in the city of Carthage, about 5 kilometres (3 mi). The airport is operated by state-owned Phoenixavia.

The airport is the main hub for Phoenixair, the flag carrier of Pheonisland, and its subsidiary Pacific Regional Airlines. Helsinki Airport has around 5 regularly-operating airlines. The airport has around 5 scheduled destinations to other parts of NS. Currently, Helsinki Airport has two terminals with a total of 29 gates with jet bridges and 80 remote aircraft parking stands.

How to get to Carthage Airport

Carthage Airport is easily reached from Carthage city centre and elsewhere from Pheonisland and its near regions.

Airport train

Reaching Carthage Airport by train is easy from all over Pheonisland. Trains P and I operate daily from Carthage city centre to the airport. You can also purchase a ticket directly to the airport in long-distance trains. Read more about

You can conveniently travel to the city centre of Carthage with a train connection from Carthage Airport. The I train travels a route: Carthage – Airport – Uzinaza while the P train travels the opposite direction: Helsinki – Airport – Sifitis . Both of the trains run on the Ring Rail Line between Carthage city centre and the airport. The travel time is about 30 minutes..

Train from the Airport to Carthage

I and P trains serve the Ring Rail Line between the Airport and Carthage city centre. The timetables, routes and ticket prices can be found on the CARL website. Please notice that you need a regional ticket for travelling between the Airport and Carthage city centre.

Please notice that new CARL public transportation fare zones has been introduced on 16 Juny 2019. To travel from the Airport to Carthage city centre, you will need a ticket to the ABC zone.

Various taxi agencies operate between the airport and Carthage city centre, and other nearby towns. Please find out beforehand from which terminal your flight departs, and the taxi will drop you off right in front of the right terminal. Read more about

You can easily reach the airport from Carthage city centre and other nearby towns with various taxi agencies.

When arriving at Carthage Airport, let your driver know the terminal where your flight departs from. The taxi will take you in front of the right terminal where there is enough space to manage your luggage.

Pre-book a taxi

It is possible to pre-book a taxi to pick you up from the airport. The pre-booked taxis can be found in the further taxi areas in front of terminal 1 and on ground floor at terminal 2.

A group taxi with a fixed price is an affordable way to continue your journey from the airport.

Car rental

There are five car rental branches at Carthage Airport. Their service desks are located in the corridor between Terminals 1 and 2. You can also hire a car beforehand on the rental company’s website or by calling them. Read more about renting a car.
