Join the RRA!

Established by LinkGres barely a month after TRR's creation, in 2003, the Rejected Realms Army (RRA) was TRR's first 'permanent' institution, preceding any kind of Constitution or organised government.

Aside from looking after TRR's internal security and helping its allies in times of need, the RRA's mission is to combat raiders and protect other regions from senseless invasions.

As one of the world's longest-standing defender forces, we have been at the forefront of many battles, from feeders to tiny backwaters, and played a key role in several important alliances. Many RRA members have been major figures in the region (including Delegates), or have been commended by the World Assembly for their contribution to interregional peace and security.

Right now, we are one of the most active defender organisations out there, have some of the best officers and can count on an extensive network of allies.

Why do we fight?

"What the RRA was defending was never just my delegacy. [...] The RRA was fighting for something more. The RRA was fighting for honor, for a Rejected Realms that was more than just a disposal to put unwanted nations, that was something that its residents could be proud of. The RRA was also fighting for what they believed in, fighting for the real right of people to live their lives and enjoy their game in peace."

We defend because we believe in the right of all people to be treated as ends-in-themselves, and not as a means to attain power or pleasure.
We defend to uphold the right of all nations to control their home regions, and be safe from forced displacement; and to preserve founderless regions, and their history and legacy.

We defend to strengthen the reputation of TRR as a region that stands for liberty, peace and self-determination.

What do we do?

Invaders take over vulnerable (founderless) regions by moving in and endorsing one another to capture the Delegacy. Once they've done that they gain access to regional controls and can use it to wreak havoc: changing the world factbook entry, suppressing messages, kicking and banning native residents.

Every day, regions are senselessly attacked in this way.
Defenders work to stop this.

  • Prevent (defences)

When raiders move into a region there is a short window of time for defenders to respond, move in and endorse the native delegate. The response can be enough to thwart the raid altogether, but it requires extreme vigilance and quick thinking.

  • Fight (liberations)

If a defence failed and the raiders have taken control of the delegacy, they can choose to occupy the region (which can involve anything from causing chaos for a few days to completely destroying the region by banning all natives and refounding it as a colony).
To end the occupation, defenders have to synchronise their movements and enter the region at a particular moment and endorse the former native delegate.

  • Restore (detags)

If you ever looked at other regions, you may have noticed that some of the smaller regions had their World Factbook Entries and regional flags spammed by prominent raider groups ("tagging"). These regions may be too small to have a native delegate, or not know how to fix the damage done by themselves.

Defenders will move into these regions as teams, endorse one another, and use the delegate's powers to restore the region to how it looked prior to the raid ("detagging").

And never forget...
