The Uvoanian Navy

The Uvoanian Navy might seem... Rather bloated, for a nation of Uvoans disposition. However, a 'global fleet' has always been a point of Uvoanian Pride, and the navy is the perfect testbed for new technologies, before they snake their way into the ground forces.

Post-1998 Designs

The 'Ragnarok' class of Super Carrier, starting with SCV-78 'Ragnarok' itself, is a series of super-heavy carriers which forms most of the Uvoanian Grand Navy's primary 'battle-line' fleet carriers. These monstrous ships, coming in at 3600 feet long, with a beam of 250 feet, and a draft of 140 feet, are some of the largest ships in production in the world, displacing in the realm of 1,000,000 tons when empty. With an actual 'hull height' of another 66 feet ontop of the existing size, it's also a rather tall craft- Which gives the 'Ragnarok' a massive internal hull-space for it's primary tool of war- Aircraft.

The 'Ragnarok's massive aerial complement is stored in 3 different interior hangar bays, with up to ‭630,000‬ square feet in each hangar bay- Making for a monstrous internal storage of 1.89 Million square feet- With 4 internal elevators, and 4 external elevators, of 17,000 square feet each, bringing that total down to ‭1.75 Million square feet, across all three hangars. This means the Ragnarok has a terrifying aerial of, at it's absolute maximum, 650 planes- Enough firepower to level entire countries with ease. Of course, this is typically restricted to a more reasonable 350 airplanes- With the 'top-deck' parking up to 50 aircraft in calm weathers, or stowing them all below in rougher seas.

Of course, to complement all of this, the 'Ragnarok' has to have a large variety of facilities- Including a crew of just over 27,000 people, discounting all the air-crews. Onboard, it has the facilities to make repairs to a jet, re-arm them, or even, with the right materials, produce a completely new shell of a jet. It's primary landing facility is a slanted 850 meter long runway, with a total of 6 catapults available for launching aircraft- Two forward, two pointing off an angled runway starboard, and two pointed off an angled runway port. This setup allows the 'Ragnarok' to constantly land and take-off fighters without either operation interfering with the other- And even land larger-scale planes, while interfering with both operations. This combination allows the 'Ragnarok' class to easily fulfill roles that the UGN previously found itself lacking in. The Ragnarok also sports a fairly large landing complement- With 4 internal vehicle bays close to the waterline, each capable of launching up to 36 Ship-to-Shore Connectors, with a payload capacity of 74 tons, or 145 personnel. This gives the 'Ragnarok' a massive capacity to land up to ‭20,880‬ soldiers at once, or ‭10,656‬ tons of supplies.

Much of the 'Ragnaroks' primary defense comes from it's escort fleet- But it in-itself is not lacking protecting. The entire ship is coated in a solid 6 inches of armor, which limits the Ragnarok classes top speed to 50 knots, with a typical cruising speed of 35 knots, and also defended by a web of CIWS guns- For a total of 240 45CIWS/48CM launchers, giving the ship a terrifying short to mid range interception ability, which when combined with it's secondary array of missile cells, a total of 3072 'Angled Launch Systems', or ALS, means the 'Ragnarok' alone can intercept most things that would pose a threat to a carrier- More so when combined with it's escort fleet. Added onto this system is a series of 48 'Micro-Torpedo Clusters', which launch small 8" torpedoes, designed to intercept and destroy hostile torpedoes before they can even think of denting the outer hull of the carrier. This is also completed by a number of smaller 'Active Protection Systems', clustered together along the 'spine' of the ship. These relatively small defensive systems launch a 155MM Titanium Rods at high speed, in order to intercept inbound heavy-caliber shells, detonating, diverting, or utterly destroying shells on approach to the ship before it can threaten it's safety.

As such, the monstrous 'Ragnarok' class of carried has, rather quickly, become the primary long-range asset of the Uvoanian Grand Navy when it comes to delivering brutal and devastating strikes against nearly any target, from any range.

The 'Citadel' is the latest and greatest in terms of world-round 'Ultra-Heavy Coilgun Dreadnoughts', created following the mid 1990s revolution in hull design, fuel, and engine efficiency. This terrifying combat dreadnought, displacing in the realm of 2 million tons, is designed to shrug off anything that comes at it, and return fire with terrifying accuracy, firepower, and with brutal efficiency. The core principle around this is it's heavily over-engineered armored hull, and turtle-like superstructure, gives the Citadel the ability to deal with many of it's contemporaries in service, and even go toe-to-toe with many modern spacecraft that are entering service.

The primary armor belt on the Citadel can be described as four armored bath-tubs- Each 7 meters thick, and stacked a meter apart with heavy internal bracing in order to shrug off the threat of torpedoes like few other ships of it's time. This absolutely massive external hull, however, isn't the end of it's defenses- With the upper super-structure being much the same, with many of the key systems dug into the innermost hulls in order to prevent lucky shots from disabling them. The primary armored deck alone is nearly 4 meters thick- To speak nothing of the two secondary decks, each another three meters thick. This turns the Citadel into a ship truly worthy of it's name- Capable of shrugging off incredible amounts of damage, before it's internal systems ever come under threat. Ontop of this, the ship is coated in defensive measures left, right and center- From a scattering of 560 45CIWS/48CM defensive systems, to 30,912 VLS and ALS cells scattered along the ship in armored canisters, to a number of smaller 'Active Protection Systems', clustered together along the 'spine' of the ship. These relatively small defensive systems launch a 155MM Titanium Rods at high speed, in order to intercept inbound heavy-caliber shells, detonating, diverting, or utterly destroying shells on approach to the ship before it can threaten it's safety. Added onto this system is a series of 48 'Micro-Torpedo Clusters', which launch small 8" torpedoes, designed to intercept and destroy hostile torpedoes before they can even think of denting the outer hull of such a monstrous craft.

Turning from defense to offensive, we arrive at what some argue as the most terrifying weapon system to be mounted on a ship, the 560/77-CG-9, a super-heavy 560MM coilgun, capable of slugging a shell down-range every twenty seconds. Mounted in a series of six turrets, with six barrels each, this ship comes with a terrifying mainline broadside armament- With three turrets forward, and three turrets aft. Ontop of this primary offensive armmanet, is a series of 384 dual-barrelled 152/77 RFG-5s, with 192 of them to a side. This gives the Citadel a terrifying ability to reliably engage nearly anything that dares cross it- Which, when you add the landing space for up to 8 VTOL aircraft, grows only greater.

Ontop of all of this, the Citadel is no slouch in the department of raw speed- Capable of making 70 knots when under full power, and a more average cruising speed of close to 40 knots. This makes it far slower than many of it's fellow ships in the Uvoanian Grand Navy, but it more than makes up for this fact with the sheer amount of terror it can bring to a naval battlefield.

The 'Stallion' class of Amphibious Assault Carriers, or AAC, is the UGN's mainline invasion craft- Coming in at 80,000 tons of displacement, 2000 feet long, with a beam of 150 feet, and a draft of 50 feet, is a fairly large ship for it's class- But with good reason.

The 'Stallions' main ability, as it's class name implies, is landing troops on a hostile front through the usage of 'Shore to Shore' connectors- With 6 internal bays, capable of landing up to 40 StSCs each- Giving the 'Stallion' a massive landing capacity of nearly ‭34,800‬ soldiers, or up to ‭17,760‬ tons at a single time- An absolutely massive landing force, by any account of such a definition. It can also, on top decks, support up to 85 VTOL craft- Intended to form the bulk of a landing force's air cover, unless a Ragnarok is within strike range of said coastal landing. Added onto this system is a series of 12 'Micro-Torpedo Clusters', which launch small 8" torpedoes, designed to intercept and destroy hostile torpedoes before they can even think of denting the outer hull of such a monstrous craft. These relatively small defensive systems launch a 155MM Titanium Rods at high speed, in order to intercept inbound heavy-caliber shells, detonating, diverting, or utterly destroying shells on approach to the ship before it can threaten it's safety.

To support this, it's primary armament is composed of two parts- It's missile batteries, composed of 2110 VLS and ALS tubes, along with 120 45CIWS/48CM launchers. It's secondary, gun battery, is composed of 280 Dual-Barreled 102/55 RFG-4s, rapid fire 102MM guns, with 140 guns to each side just below the main flight deck- Giving the 'Stallion' a coastal bombardment tonnage equal to many larger ships, while giving it a brutal ROF that allows it to easily supress hostile artillery positions, bunkers, and even throw tank battalions about with ease.

The 'Stallion' comes in with a top speed of 60 knots, with a more typical cruise of 50 knots. Covered in a moderate 8 inches of armor, universally. It has a standard complement of 2,700 sailors, discounting the monstrous marine complement such a ship can carry at all times, along with it's aircrew. This makes the 'Stallion' a highly loved, and near universal, landing craft used around the world to help the UGN's efforts.

The BCG 'Stalwart' is the next notable ship of the Uvoanian Grand Navy- A fast raiding battlecruiser, displacing 98,000 tons on average, is a terrifying ship which no sane merchant captain wants to cross. It comes at a length of 1300 feet, a beam of 150 feet, and a draft of 40 feet. The ship's primary hull is divided into three sections, each 30 inches thick, in order to stand against the lighter weapons in service on many merchant craft, with a 15 inch thick-dual layered deck.

It's initial armament set is twelve tri-barreled 406/78RFG-R-8s, monstrous 406MM guns capable of firing a shell every 10 seconds. These are placed two in front, and two in rear, and four along each broadside, in order to give the ship an equal degree of firepower. It's secondary armament is 128 dual-barreled 152/77 RFG-5s, spaced 64 to a side. This gives the the Stalwart an even more brutal broadside than before, especially when paired with it's 72 45CIWS/48CM systems, and it's ‭864 VLS and ALS tubes, giving the ship a terrifying ability to engage anything that even things of getting within it's primary range. This is supplemented by the ability to land up to 4 VTOL aircraft, or helicopters, on a dedicated landing pad, and up to 8x4-Tube 35" torpedo launchers. Ontop of this is the already well known 155MM Interception Systems, and the clusters of micro-torpedo launchers.

The ship also has a total complement of 75 officers, and 1400 enlisted- Alongside a top-speed of 115 knots, and a cruising speed of 80, giving the ship a terrifying ability to run after nearly anything, and chase it down. These ships form the 'big-gun' complement of the raiding portion of the UGN, and have served the UGN well in this role ever since their introduction.

The BCA 'Mustang' is the sister ship of the 'Stalwart' and 'Marauder' classes, sharing many characteristics, and even size, this class, however, fills a very different role compared to it's big gun counterparts. Displacing 98,000 tons on average, is a terrifying ship which no sane commander wants to cross.

It's initial armament set is, instead of the large array of big-guns used by other ships, a total of 48 dual-barreled 152/77 RFG-5s, spaced 24 to a side. This gives the the 'Mustang' the ability to defend itself against small threats, especially when paired with it's 36 45CIWS/48CM systems, and it's 1152 VLS and ALS tubes, giving the ship a terrifying ability to engage anything that even things of getting within it's primary range. This is complemented by 8 4-Tube torpedo launchers, and the ability to land up to 30 VTOL aircraft, or helicopters, on two dedicated landing pads and their hangars- Giving the 'Mustang' an absolutely massive aerial complement, especially for a ship of it's nature. Ontop of this is the already well known 155MM Interception Systems, and the clusters of micro-torpedo launchers.

The ship also has a total complement of 75 officers, and 1570 enlisted- longside a top-speed of 115 knots, and a cruising speed of 80, giving the ship a terrifying ability to run after nearly anything, and chase it down. These ships form the final piece of the UGN 'Trifecta' of convoy defense, raiding, and interception.

The BCG 'Marauder' is the sister ship of the 'Stalwart', sharing many characteristics, and even size, the ship is intended to operate in conjunction with the 'Stalwart' in order to raid convoys, and ward off enemy ships. Displacing 98,000 tons on average, is a terrifying ship which no sane commander wants to cross.

It's initial armament set is, instead of the monstrous 406/78RFG-R-8s, six quad-barreled 305/65RFG-G-3s, rapid fire 305MM railguns, each gun capable of slugging a 1200 Kilogram shell down-range every seven seconds. These turrets are placed 3 to the front, and 3 in the rear. It's secondary armament is 48 dual-barreled 152/77 RFG-5s, spaced 24 to a side. This gives the the Stalwart an even more brutal broadside than before, especially when paired with it's 36 45CIWS/48CM systems, and it's 1152 VLS and ALS tubes, giving the ship a terrifying ability to engage anything that even things of getting within it's primary range. This is supplemented by the ability to land up to 4 VTOL aircraft, or helicopters, on a dedicated landing pad, and up to 8 4-Tube torpedo launchers. Ontop of this is the already well known 155MM Interception Systems, and the clusters of micro-torpedo launchers.

The ship also has a total complement of 75 officers, and 1470 enlisted- Alongside a top-speed of 115 knots, and a cruising speed of 80, giving the ship a terrifying ability to run after nearly anything, and chase it down. These ships form the 'rapid-fire gun' complement of the raiding complement of the UGN, and have served the UGN well in this role ever since their introduction.

The CG 'Bulwark' class is one of the Uvoanian Navy's most recent missile cruisers, and is intended to form up one part of a Carrier Escort Fleet. Coming in at 750 feet long, with a beam of 65 feet and a draft of 40 feet, it's also a fairly bulky craft for the designation of 'cruiser', but more than makes up for it in a few areas. The ship itself comes in at about 33,000 tons on average, due to a number of systems which will become obvious.

The primary 'big-gun' armament of the Bulwark class is 6 dual-barreled 152/77 RFG-5s, rapid fire 152MM guns which can put over 240 rounds down-range in a minute, giving the Bulwark a terrifying anti-shipping armament to be backed up by it's complement of 960 VLS cells, and 8 45CIWS/48CM systems, in order to help depend the ship against close-range aircraft. It's main guns can also serve in a multi purpose role- Engaging armored ships with solid shots, unarmored ships with brutal volleys of explosives, or even engaging aircraft and missiles with shrapnel shells, giving the 'Bulwark' a terrifying ability to serve in a multi-purpose role. It also has 2x3 35" tube torpedo launchers, for engaging submarines and delivering final strikes to ships. Ontop of this is the already well known 155MM Interception Systems, placed in two mounts, and 4 clusters of micro-torpedo launchers.

It's also been designed, shockingly, with a stealthy nature in mind- Not a pure stealth vessel, of course, such a monster is too obvious to even remotely be one, but just enough it can hide itself away from most prying eyes. Ontop of all this, it has a top speed of 95 knots, cruising at 70, with an all-round armor thickness of 8 inches- Which might not seem like much, but is enough to shrug off many lighter missiles and guns with ease. The ship itself has a complement of 45 officers, and 400 commissioned. Alongside this, it bears a highly advanced web of RADAR, SONAR, and similar systems in order to detect incoming missiles and fighters, in order to intercept it and help defend the fleet.

The DDG 'Bastion' is a relatively new addition to the Uvoanian Navy, serving the role of a relatively small attack craft, intended to intercept such things as RHIBs and small 'Pirate Skiffs' that have become increasingly common. As such, most of it's armament is focused around it's guns, but that doesn't mean it's precisely lacking in the missile category. The ship, coming in at 570 feet long, with a beam of 70 feet, and a draft of 31 feet, is fairly standard for a destroyer- Weighing in at about 12,000 tons, is when some unusual things are first noted.

It's primary armament is 24 Dual-Barreled 102/55 RFG-4s, rapid fire 102MM guns intended to put 360 rounds down range in a minute, per gun, which can be switched between a wide variety of shots giving the RFG-4 the ability to engage nearly any target with ease- But, primarily, smaller skiffs that have become common in practice. This is backed up by 12 45CIWS/48CM systems, which can be turned against small boats as-well, in order to shred anything that even thinks of approaching such a craft. It can also deploy 2 RHIBs, and has up to 480 VLS cells to call upon to turn an enemy ship into shreds from a safe range, alongside 4x3 35" tube torpedo launchers to do the same thing, at a relatively closer range. Ontop of this is the already well known 155MM Interception Systems, placed in 3 mounts, and 4 clusters of micro-torpedo launchers. The ship itself is also covered in a universal 3 inches of armor, in order to defend against light attacks and so on. It has a complement of 250 enlisted, and 25 officers.

The ship's top speed is a brutal 142 knots- Allowing it to easily dart about fleet formations to take up escort positions, or chase down fleeing enemy vessels in order to destroy them. This makes the 'Bastion' a useful asset for Uvoanian Carrier Fleets, even outside it's designated role, due to it's massive CIWS web it can call upon in order to shred anything that gets too close to the vessel- Or the fleet it's escorting.

The CHG 'Vulture' is an example of Uvoanian adaptability- The ship class itself is designed to fill a general role of a long-range, high-speed, response 'Corvette'. The ship itself is fairly small- Coming in at 300 feet long, with a beam of 15 feet- And a variable draft, due to the boat's hydrofoil nature. This terrifyingly fast ship, as such, fills a fast response aspect that the 'Sea-Fighters' lack the firepower to, but a 'BCG' is too slow to fill. The ship's primary weapon complement is two Dual-Barreled 102/55 RFG-4, backed up by 850 VLS tubes, and 8 45CIWS/48CM systems. Much of the ships strength, as such, comes from it's speed- A terrifyingly fast 240 knots, which gives the DHG 'Vulture' the ability to quickly respond to naval crisis around the world. It's secondary armament is composed of 4 'Charge Throwers', which throw self guiding 'depth-charges' designed to hunt submarines down, with an internal payload of 950 Kilograms of TNT. It can also use these 'Charge Throwers' against other, slower, craft.

The ship itself has a complement of 5 commissioned, and 45 enlisted, also making it a relatively small crew, and perfect for the UGN's sorely needed fast response vectors.

The CG 'Hawk' is the standard non-hydrofoil coastal patrol craft of the Uvoanian Navy. Coming in at 150 feet long, with a beam of 15 feet, and a draft of 15 feet, it's also a fairly small craft by many margins- But this does not mean one should discount it, in any scenario. It's primary armament consists of two 152/77 RFG-5s, rapid fire 152MM guns backed up by 64 VLS tubes, and 4 45CIWS/48CM systems. This gives it the ability to easily stand off with nearly any land-based defensive measure, and return fire with devastating ease.

The ship itself has a complement of 5 commissioned, and 25 enlisted, also making it a relatively small crew, and perfect for the UGN's coastal patrol needs. It also has a universal coating of 2 inches of armor, with a top speed of 44 knots.

The FAS 'Blowback' is the primary attack submarine of the Uvoanian Grand Navy- Coming in at 375 feet long, with a beam of 35 feet, and a draft of 30 feet, is a fairly large submarine, which is easily explained when one meets it's terrifying weapons complement

The primary armament of the 'Blowback' is 16 Forward-Firing 1200MM Torpedo Tubes, and 8 Rear-Firing 1200MM Torpedo Tubes, along with 128 VLS cells, and 3 45CIWS/48CM systems which will emerge from the hull after the submarine surfaces, in order to provide defense against hostile aircraft and missiles. In order to deal with hostile torpedoes, it also has smaller 120MM 'Micro Torpedo' launchers, which will launch dedicated micro torpedoes to intercept and destroy hostile torpedoes before they can pose a threat to the submarine. The submarines primary defense- Besides being a submarine of course, comes from it's high rate of maximum speed underwater- Nearly 65 knots, if the captain is running the engines at full output. This allows the 'Blowback' to, quickly, get in and get out of situations to deliver brutal strikes to hostile fleets, or relocate in a hurry to leave a zone where it's already been sighted. Ontop of this, an experimental 'Stealth Drive' allows the 'Blowback', when traveling under 28 knots- To essentially vanish, which gives the 'Blowback' another advantage.

It has a complement of 8 officers, and 87 enlisted.
