Mobile Weapons of the Zeon Military Force - The Newtype Corps

Zeon Military Force: The Newtype Corps


Ever since the first humans went into space, we have slowly evolved for the long run to adapt, and evolve in our greater environments.

A Newtype is a person who has reached a new stage of human evolution after having lived for long enough in space. The theory behind this minor but groundbreaking metamorphosis is: in order to adapt to life in space, the human body evolved with heightened mental awareness. As such, Newtypes tend to appear among Spacenoids, although not exclusively.

Newtypes have an extremely high degree of focus and spatial awareness, almost a sixth sense. They are capable of empathically detecting other Newtypes and are sensitive to the hostile intentions directed at them by others, allowing them to uncannily react to their opponents even before the offender carries out the intended action. Some Newtypes also exhibit telepathic abilities or use psychokinesis.

One of the Universal Century's greatest social conflicts is the exploitation of these advanced humans. Heralded by scientists and philosophers upon their discovery as a beacon of hope for the future of humanity, the various series of the UC era show that these humans have merely become cannon fodder for greedy politicians and violent militarists, creating even more war and destruction.

Various sources state that the exploitation of the Newtype is due to fear of them by the Oldtypes as they represent humanity's next step of evolution while the Oldtypes are merely relics of the past. A great example of this is the signature Gundam pilot of the Earth Federation, Amuro Ray. Although he is the hero of the One Year War-the first great Mobile Suit war-he barely climbed the ranks through his entire military career and it is implied that this is because of the government's mistrust in his loyalties (due to his Newtype status). Many believe this to be an allegory for the newer generations taking over the previous generation, with the confusion and conflict which comes from this. Well into the very late years of the Universal Century, Newtypes have risen to become a common occurrence though a mystery as they were during the One Year War, facilitating a curious cycle of weapons development, in which highly specialized Newtype-use weapons are developed and repeatedly phased out as fielding people capable of using such weapons in significant numbers remains consistently impossible due to their potential and strength evolving stronger and stronger.

History

The word Newtype first came into being when Zeon Zum Deikun, the founder of the space colony-based Principality of Zeon, created his philosophy: mankind was destined to leave the Earth for space, where they would evolve into a new stage of evolution, called the Newtype.

This philosophy was accepted by many people to the point that it became superstition, and it became a name for those with strange and exceptional abilities. Hence when enhanced psychic potential manifested in certain individuals in the One Year War, the idea that Newtypes were evolved humans with psychic abilities as a result of the movement to space began to stick. Non-enhanced human beings, by retronym , became known as Oldtype. In addition, a Newtype MS pilot's ability to more accurately recognize the combat situation and other Newtypes from a great distance spurred the development of control devices to link with and operate remote-controlled weapons via EEG waves. This equipment is termed Psycommu system (short for Psycho Communicator), and machines installed with this equipment demonstrated overwhelming force in combat.

As time passed, the number of new naturally occurring Newtypes remained fairly stable. However, as their destiny had been transformed from the "future of mankind" to living weapons forced to fight in war, artificially created Newtypes began to outnumber them. So by the time of the Second Neo Zeon War, it was doubtful whether these Newtypes were the same as the legendary ones found in Deikun's theory.

The basic Newtype concept was originally proposed by Zeon Zum Deikun. The theory proposes that as humanity expands into space, all latent abilities will blossom in order to adapt to the great void and mankind will then be able to understand each other without misconceptions. Not long into their discovery, the combat potential of the Newtype is quickly exploited by various military factions. Various technologies allowed these Newtypes to control remote weapons known as "bits" and "funnels", and other psychically controlled weapons. Some systems even allow Newtypes to control entire Mobile Suits or Armors just with the power of their mind, although this would take an exceptionally powerful Newtype to make possible. Many types of interfaces have also been designed for Newtype use, such as the cinematic Psycoframe.

Pioneering work on the Newtype phenomena were conducted by the Principality of Zeon and the Flanagan Institute during the One Year War. After the war, Principality of Zeon's research on Newtypes fell into the hands of the Earth Federation Forces, and they set up several Newtype Labs to carry on the research. One area of research for these labs was the enhancement of normal humans into Newtypes via artificial means. Newtyps created through this manner were known as 'Cyber Newtypes'. These Cyber Newtypes were successfull to a certain extent, and were deployed in combat. However, the Cyber Newtype all suffered from mental instability due to the conditioning they received to be more effective in combat.


AMX-004 Qubeley


The Qubeley is a next generation mobile suit designed for Newtypes that features numerous technological innovations which allow it to fight on par with other advanced mobile suits that appeared during the Gryps Conflict and the First Neo Zeon War.

Developed from the data gathered from the MS-09R4 Psycommu Rick Dom "Schnee Weiss" and the AMX-001 Prototype Qubeley, the Qubeley featured a set of wing binders on its shoulders to assist in AMBAC (Active Mass Balance Auto Control), granting phenomenal mobility. Though appearing like a set of two, the wing binders are actually four independently moving sections with two mounted on each shoulder. Though lacking the full range of motion as the arms and legs, these wing binders bring the Qubeley's total number of movable limbs up to eight. Furthermore the wing binders are the location of the Qubeley's primary thrusters, which cannot be placed on the unit in the form of a backpack as is the standard practice with mobile suits due to the tail binder. The Qubeley is also one of the first Zeon mobile suits to use a dual-type optical sensor instead of the traditional mono-eye. The Qubeley lacks the mega particle cannons of the prototype version, replacing them with a pair of dual-purpose beam guns that can double as beam sabers for close-range combat.

The most incredible feature of the Qubeley is the fact that it is the first combat mobile suit to be equipped with a mobile suit-sized psycommu system with the new remote funnel weapon. The prototype featured a similar system but its psycommu had not been fully miniaturized and the funnels were stored in its main body, leaving the prototype with a large body that stood 25 meters tall. The system aboard the Qubeley had been perfected and its ten funnel weapons were stored in a tail binder allowing for quicker deployment and recall for charging. Already a formidable mobile suit with its ability to attack from multiple directions with its funnels, the Qubeley was the pinnacle of mobile suit technology in the Gryps Conflict and the First Neo Zeon War.

During the First Neo Zeon War, two variant models would be built and fielded. One would be the AMX-004 Qubeley Mk-II, of which two units were built and were virtually identical to the original aside from two additional funnels and an improvement to the Psycommu System. The other variant is the AMX-004G Qubeley Mass Production Type, which was equipped with a pair of active cannons and had a larger tail binder that could store 30 funnels.

Armaments:

Active Cannon

A pair of movable beam cannons are mounted on the suit's back and they have a wide-firing arc. The cannons can shoot at targets that are both in front of the mobile suit and targets behind the mobile suit.

Hand Launcher/Beam Saber

Mounted in the forearms, the pair of hand launchers/beam sabers are the same as the beam guns/sabers used by the Qubeley. When used as hand launchers, they function as beam guns and remain mounted in the forearms. When used as beam sabers, they are hand carried.

Funnels

The Qubeley's most dangerous weapons system is the 30 psycommu controlled remote funnel weapons stored in the mobile suit's tail binder. The remote funnel weapon was based off of the ancient Elmeth's larger remote bit, its smaller in size due to how it uses an energy capacitor system. Because the funnels don't have their own power generator they must recharge aboard the Qubeley after a certain amount of time. The remote funnels are used to create an all-range attack from multiple vectors, essentially creating a cage of beams that is impossible to dodge except for the most agile of mobile suits and the most skilled of pilots.

MSN-03 Jagd Doga


Based on the frame of the mass-produced AMS-119 Geara Doga, the Jagd Doga was a special suit designed to be used by the Neo Zeon’s Newtype pilots. Developed using data from the evaluation tests of the AMS-120X Geara Doga Psycommu System Test Type and the AMS-119N Röte Doga, it has a psycoframe cockpit for controlling the six funnels stored on its shoulder-mounted funnel pod shields. Unlike previous mobile suits that utilize funnel weapons, the Jagd Doga cannot recharge its funnels. Other weapons of the suit include a beam saber with attached heat knife for close combat, two triple missile launchers behind the funnel pod shields.

The Jagd Doga's sensors, thrusters, and nuclear reactor have also been significantly improved compared to those on Geara Doga. As a result, it has greater speed and mobility, and more power for its weapons and other systems. In terms of performance, the Jagd Doga was the second most powerful mobile suit in the Second Neo Zeon's arsenal, second only to the MSN-04 Sazabi.

Armaments:

Beam Saber

A beam saber is stored in the Jagd Doga's left side armor, and serves as its primary close combat weapon. The beam saber generates a beam of plasma contained by an I-field that can cut through any metal alloy that has not been treated to resist it.

Heat Knife

The Jagd Doga's beam saber is unique in having a removable heat knife attached to its handle. The heat knife is a small blade that can be superheated to melt and cut through enemy's armor.

Funnel Pod Shield

One mounted on each shoulder, this shield serves as a storage rack for the funnels on the front and has a triple missile launcher at the back.

Triple Missile Launcher

Three missiles can be fired from behind each funnel pod shield, for a total of six missiles. The missiles could deal moderate to heavy damage to a mobile suit, but only deal light damage to a battleship.

Funnel

One of the Jagd Doga's more powerful features is its Newtype-use remote controlled weapons. The six funnels are stored on the two funnel pod shields, each funnel has a power rating of 10.6 MW, and can easily destroy mobile suits or nuclear missiles.

Shield

The Jagd Doga is equipped with a custom round shield. It is treated with an anti-beam coating to temporarily defend against beam weapons and has four built-in mega particle cannons.

Mega Particle Cannon

Mounted in the shield, the four mega particle cannons have a power rating of 9.3 MW each. The power and spread of the beams from the mega particle guns are both powerful and difficult to evade, making them an effective weapon against both mobile suits and battleships.

Large Beam Machine Gun

A weapon that is more powerful than a regular beam rifle. It is possible to fire a pulsed beam, and the destructive power is given priority over the penetration force. In the case of a single shot, the target can be destroyed with high accuracy because the kinetic energy of the beam is less likely to decay. The sights are also exceptional.

MSN-04 Sazabi


After Char Aznable returned as the leader of his own Neo Zeon faction in U.C. 0093, he ordered his engineers to create a new mobile suit which would fit his piloting skills and Newtype powers. The result was the MSN-04 Sazabi, which was later built by the Luna-based contractor Anaheim Electronics. With an overall height of 25.6 meters, the Sazabi is much bigger than most standard mobile suits, but thanks to the use of lightweight armor materials and a great number of thrusters, it is much faster and maneuverable than other suits. The suit is armed with an abdomen-mounted scattering mega particle cannon, a beam shot rifle, a pair of beam sabers stored in the arms and a shield with three missiles as well as a beam tomahawk.

Because Char is a Newtype, the Sazabi was also equipped with six funnels which the pilot could control through his psycowaves via a Psycommu system. The Sazabi was also the first MS to be equipped with the revolutionary new psycoframe cockpit. This system featured microscopic psycommu receiver circuits installed throughout a mobile suit's internal frame and cockpit walls. These tiny circuits amplify and transmit a Newtype pilot's psycowaves, enabling the mobile suit to respond instantaneously to mental commands.

Armaments:

Beam Saber

The Sazabi is equipped with a pair of beam sabers, one stored in each forearm for quick deployment in combat. The beam sabers serve as one of two close combat weaponry of the Sazabi and is a beam of plasma contained by an I-field that can cut through any metal alloy.

Funnel

One of the Sazabi's powerful weapons is its Newtype-use remote weaponry - Funnels. The Sazabi stores six funnels in its backpack-mounted storage pods, each with a power rating of 10.6 MW. Char has shown that these funnels can attack at great distances and are ideal for dealing with nuclear missiles.

Scattering Mega Particle Cannon

The Sazabi mounts a scattering mega particle cannon in its waist and it is connected directly to the generator. The mega particle cannon has a power rating of 8.8 MW, and the beam emitted is an unusually wide beam that can destroy multiple mobile suits in a single shot.

Beam Shot Rifle

The beam shot rifle is a hand-carried ranged beam weapon that was designed to be used by the Sazabi. It is noticeably larger than most other beam rifles, is powered by a rechargeable energy cap, and has a power rating of 10.2 MW. A unique feature of this rifle is that it has two barrels, one for firing normal beam shots and another for firing a scattershot-like beam blasts. The latter is similar to what is fired by a shotgun, the wider beam spreads the damage over a greater area.

Long Beam Rifle

An optional rifle used for long-range assault.

Shield

The Sazabi is equipped with a shield on its left forearm. The shield mounts three small missiles that can heavily damage a mobile suit, but not a battleship. The shield also holds the storage rack for the Sazabi's beam tomahawk.

Beam Tomahawk

Stored on the back of the shield, the beam tomahawk is the Sazabi's most powerful melee weapon and mounts two beam emitters. Taking advantage of the flexibility of the I-field and its ability to shape plasma, the beam tomahawk can either emit a pair of beam axe blades or combine its output to form a single large beam saber.

MSN-04II Nightingale


Although it is a mobile suit, the Nightingale's specifications are comparable to that of a Newtype-use mobile armor. Aside from being very large, this psycoframe equipped MS also features many weapons, including 10 funnels, a mega beam rifle, a pair of vulcan cannons, a beam cannon, two beam sabers, and a shield which carries a beam tomahawk and several micro missiles. The Nightingale also has a pair of hidden arms mounted behind the front skirt armor, a pair of back-mounted vernier binders to ensure the large suit's high mobility, and five propellant tanks (three on the backpack and two underneath the rear skirt armor) to fuel its large number of thrusters. This monstrous masterpiece of Mobile Suit technology represented the pinnacle of Char's personal combat style.

Armaments:

Beam Saber

The Nightingale is equipped with a pair of beam sabers, one stored in each forearm for quick deployment in combat. The beam sabers serve as one of the two close combat weaponry of the Nightingale, and is a beam of plasma contained by an I-field that can cut through any metal alloy not treated with anti-beam coating.

Funnel

One of the most powerful features of any psycommu-equipped mobile suit is the use of remote weapons, funnels in the case of the Nightingale. Because the psycoframe amplifies the psycowave of Newtypes, the funnels can be remote controlled from the mobile suit without guide wires and without the threat of being jammed by Minovsky particles or other electronic counter measures. Because of their small size, funnels are difficult to see and detect, making them extremely difficult to avoid for even skilled pilots. Funnels are typically powered by a energy capacitor which holds a limited charge, once the charge runs out, the funnel must return to a recharge rack or else it becomes useless. Similarly the funnel holds its own propellant, which once it runs out renders a funnel as a useless piece of drifting debris. Of course because of the funnel's low mass its propellant use is relatively efficient. The MSN-04II Nightingale is equipped with ten funnels that are smaller versions of those used by NZ-333 α Azieru. Compared with the funnels used by NZ-222 Psyco Doga, these funnels are stronger and have a longer operating time. The ten funnels are stored on the racks on top of the back-mounted vernier binders, five per binder, where they can recharge their energy and propellant.

Mega Beam Rifle

One of the Nightingale's standard hand carried armaments is a large mega beam rifle. This powerful rifle is exceptionally large, being at least as long as the Nightingale is tall (22.5 meters) if not longer. The mega beam rifle has a power rating of 8.8 MW, and can fire three types of beam, the standard tightly focused beam, a high output beam that is comparable in power to one from a mega bazooka launcher, and a scattershot-like beam blast that has a high rate of fire and is useful during close to mid-range combat. The foldable bipod at the front of the rifle is used during precise, long range attacks.

Shield

As with most mobile suits, the Nightingale can mount a shield on its left forearm. The Nightingale's custom shield is made of gundarium alloy. The shield serves partially as an offensive weapon as it mounts three micro missiles that can heavily damage a mobile suit but not a battleship. The shield also stores the Nightingale's beam tomahawk.

Micro Missile

Stored on the shield, the micro missiles' targets can be programmed by the pilot during firing. The micro missiles can then recognize their targets using optical means and be guided towards them.

Beam Tomahawk

The Nightingale can be equipped with a hand-held beam tomahawk, stored behind the mobile suit's shield. The beam tomahawk is the Nightingale's most powerful melee weapon and mounts two beam emitters. Taking advantage of the flexibility of the I-field, and its ability to shape plasma, the beam tomahawk can either emit a pair of beam axe blades, or combine its output to form a single large beam saber.

Vulcan Cannon

Mounted on either side of the chest, these pair of vulcan cannons are shell firing mid to close range weapons added to boost the suit's defensive capabilities.

Beam Cannon

The Nightingale has a hidden beam cannon mounted in the center of its chest. This beam cannon is revealed when the lower chest armor is lowered.

NZ-000 Queen Mansa


Following the Gryps Conflict, Neo Zeon (formerly Axis) began developing mobile suits surpassing AEUG and Earth Federation mobile suits in every way using the most advanced technologies. The grand, final product was the Queen Mansa.

In addition to a highly powerful fusion reactor multiple times the output on an average mobile suit, it also sports a massive arsenal of beam weaponry, which included 30 funnels (similar to those equipped on the AMX-004 Qubeley) stored inside a massive container within the tail binder. The shoulder binders contain a "mega-particle deflection field" that not only shields Queen Mansa from incoming beam fire, but also redirects the beam for offense, similar to the MRX-010 Psyco Gundam Mk-II's beam reflector bits.

As with the AMX-004-3 Qubeley Mk-II, the Queen Mansa could be externally controlled by a Newtype pilot using a psycommu controller headset. The cockpit is housed inside a detachable head unit, which also mounts a beam gun (similar to the one on the MRX-010 Psyco Gundam Mk-II and the MSN-02 Zeong). Overall, the Queen Mansa was one of the most formidable mobile suits of its time.

Armaments:

3-barrel Mega Particle Gun

The 3-barrel Mega Particle Gun is, like the MSN-02 Zeong, a head-mounted beam gun that can be used to defend itself. As the Queen Mansa's head can separate itself, it can use this weapon to fight back in order to escape. The mega particle gun has a power rating of 13.6 MW.

Giant Beam Saber

Stored beneath the Queen Mansa's shoulder binders are two powerful Giant Beam Sabers. Power-rated at 1.8 MW, they outrank even the Federation's Hyper Beam Sabers. Its broad beam blade can slice off a regular mobile suit with ease.

Funnel

Hidden within the Tail Binder of the Queen Mansa are a set of 30 Funnels, each having an output of 1.3 MW . The remote funnel weapon was based off of the Elmeth's larger remote bit, its smaller size is due to how it uses an energy capacitor system. Because the funnels don't have their own power generator they must return to the mobile suit to recharge after a certain amount of time. The funnels are used to create an all-range attack from multiple vectors, essentially creating a cage of beams that is impossible to dodge except for the most agile of mobile suits and the most skilled of pilots.

Mega Particle Gun

Throughout the body of the Queen Mansa are a total of six mega particle guns. One of these is mounted on the end of each binder (7.8 MW) and in each arm (6.5 MW), with the last two being mounted on the torso (8.3 MW).

NZ-222 Psyco Doga


Built parallel to the MSN-03 Jagd Doga, the Psyco Doga was built by Char Aznable's Neo Zeon movement and served as a smaller model for the later Alpha Azieru. The Psyco Doga is much smaller than the Alpha Azieru but because the size of the Psycommu system isn’t reduced in time, the body is enlarged to that of a mobile armor.

Armaments:

The Psyco Doga is only armed with six funnels and two wired psycommu mega arms, each mounting a single beam gun. The Psyco Doga is also equipped with an I-field barrier generator, providing better protection against beam weapon fire.

NZ-333 Alpha Azieru


The Alpha Azieru is an experimental mobile armor developed by the Neo Zeon Newtype Research Labs, and for its time, it was one of the largest and most powerful mobile weapons ever developed. It is the direct descendant of the AMX-002 Neue Ziel fielded during the Delaz conflict and can be said to be the culmination of Zeon's Newtype-use technologies. Because of its large size, the Alpha Azieru cannot be stored in regular vessels and must be towed during transportation. Its cockpit is located in the head and features a control interface similar to that of the MSN-04 Sazabi and MSN-03 Jagd Doga. One of its strongest weapons is the mega particle gun which can destroy several mobile suits with one blow, and the Alpha Azieru is equipped with two such guns, one in the head and another in the chest. Because it was developed as a Newtype weapon, the Alpha Azieru has 9 funnels which can attack over great distances. For close combat, it is equipped with two folding claw arms, a pair of 5-barrel wire-guided psycommu mega arm cannons, and 6 vulcan guns mounted in the head.

Armaments:

Vulcan Gun

The NZ-333 α Azieru mounts 4 vulcan guns on the sides of its head. Vulcan guns are typically small-caliber weapons that do not have the power to heavily damage the armor of a mobile suit, though it is possible to deal light damage. However, they have a high rate of fire and serve as mid-to-short range defensive weapons for shooting down small, lightly armored targets such as missiles or remote weapons, and to restrict an approaching enemy mobile suit's movements.

Twin Large Vulcan Gun

The NZ-333 α Azieru has an additional pair of vulcan guns located in the forehead, and they are larger than those on the sides of the head. The large vulcan guns are capable of firing 6000 rounds in a minute.

Folding Claw Arm

A pair of arms used for melee combat, they are typically retracted within the shoulder armor when not in use.

Head Mega Particle Gun

A powerful weapon in the Alpha Azieru's arsenal is a mega particle gun installed in the head where the unit's "mouth" would be. With a power rating of 19.5 MW, the beam unleashed from the mega particle gun can destroy multiple mobile suits in one shot.

Chest Mega Particle Gun

A second mega particle gun that is located in the chest of the α Azieru, its power rating is around 50.5 MW.

5-barrel Wired Psycommu Mega Arm Cannon

Mounted at the ends of the Alpha Azieru's shoulder armor are two wire-guided mega arm cannon units, each unit is armed with 5-barrel beam cannons with each cannon having a power rating of 12.6 MW. When launched, the mega arm cannons allow the Alpha Azieru to attack a target from multiple angles simultaneously, making dodging very difficult. Although they are also controlled by the Psycommu system like the large funnels, they however lack the range of the funnels and are used more as mid-to-short range weapons.

Large Funnel

The most dangerous weapons of the Alpha Azieru are the 9 funnels stored in recharge racks on the rear skirt armor. They are equipped with built-in generators. Guided by the psycommu system, these remote weapons are capable of conducting all range attacks from great distances without the need for guiding wires and without interference from Minovsky particles. With their all range attack, the Alpha Azieru can attack multiple opponents from multiple angles, an attack that will destroy all but the most skilled pilots in the most advanced machines. They are also ideal for attacking nuclear missiles as their great operation range allows the Alpha Azieru to destroy a nuclear missile outside of the explosion radius. The power rating of each funnel's beam gun is 20.4 MW. However, this is compressed into a smaller beam so it has higher penetrative damage, but does less overall damage than the mega particle gun.

NZ-444 Beta Azieru


The culmination of fusing a battleship into the styling of the Azieru line, the Beta Azieru acts as the original modelling of a "Newtype warship". Boosters can be attached to the back and they also improve the β Azieru's firepower. The unit also seems to be related to the MSN-04II Nightingale.

Armaments:

Wired Psycommu 5-barrel Mega Arm
Mounted at the ends of the Beta Azieru's shoulder armor are two wire-guided mega arm cannon units, each unit is armed with 5-barrel beam cannons with each cannon having a power rating of 12.6 MW. When launched, the mega arm cannons allow the Beta Azieru to attack a target from multiple angles simultaneously, making dodging very difficult. Although they are also controlled by the Psycommu system like the large funnels, they however lack the range of the funnels and are used more as mid-to-short range weapons.

Twin Mega Particle Gun
The primary weapons of the Gwazine-class of battleship are three large 2-barrel mega-particle guns mounted in a row along the dorsal hull. These large turreted guns are amongst the largest ship-mounted mega particle guns employed on a mobile armor. The turrets were capable of swiveling at least ninety degrees in either direction from their forward facing position, allowing the guns to be pointed and fired straight to port or starboard.

2-Tube Large Anti-Ship Missile
The Beta Azieru is equipped with six missile launchers which, depending on the ordnance loaded, can be used for anti-ship or anti-mobile suit combat.

Hyper Mega Particle Cannon
A powerful weapon in the Beta Azieru's arsenal is a mega particle gun installed in the head where the unit's "mouth" would be. With a power rating of 125 MW, the beam unleashed from the mega particle gun can destroy large parts of an enemy fleet in one shot.

Funnels
The most dangerous weapons of the Beta Azieru are the 15 funnels stored in recharge racks on the rear skirt armor. They are equipped with built-in generators. Guided by the psycommu system, these remote weapons are capable of conducting all range attacks from great distances without the need for guiding wires and without interference from Minovsky particles. With their all range attack, the Beta Azieru can attack multiple opponents from multiple angles, an attack that will destroy all but the most skilled pilots in the most advanced machines. They are also ideal for attacking nuclear missiles as their great operation range allows the Beta Azieru to destroy a nuclear missile outside of the explosion radius. The power rating of each funnel's beam gun is 40.8 MW. However, this is compressed into a smaller beam so it has higher penetrative damage, but does less overall damage than the mega particle gun.

NZ-555 Gamma Azieru



Built as a ground variation of the original Alpha, the slightly bigger main chassis is similar to NZ-333 α Azieru's, keeping most if its built-in weapons. But it's also equipped with new legs (modified from MSN-03 Jagd Doga's) and arms. Although it appears to no longer be equipped with funnels, the new arms have remote wireless function (much like AMX-014 Döven Wolf's) with a beam gun in each finger, the beam hands can also generate large beam claws for close combat.

Armaments: Same as the Alpha Azieru's armament.

NZ-666 Kshatriya


The Kshatriya is a mobile suit based on the NZ-000 Queen Mansa used by the first Neo Zeon. The Kshatriya is much smaller than the Queen Mansa but has similar, if not equal, firepower. This is accomplished by the four large shoulder binders (which are also the reason for the suit's nickname 'Quad-wing'), in which each of them mounts a pair of mega particle cannons, beam saber equipped sub-arms and six funnels. The main body of the Kshatriya also has four mega particle cannons, two machine cannons and two beam sabers that can also function as beam guns. It can also be fitted with optional Beam Gatling Guns on its forearms. Although the Kshatriya lacks the "mega particle deflection system" seen on the NZ-000, an I-field barrier generator was installed instead in each of its binders. Its original psycommu system was also replaced with a more effective psycoframe. Although the Kshatriya is a massive mobile suit, it has fairly good mobility thanks to the thruster-mounting binders.

Armaments:

Beam Saber

The Kshatriya is armed with a total of six beam sabers for melee combat. Two are located in the forearms to allow for quick responses to close combat threats and can be used as beam gun when stored, while the remaining four are small beam sabers mounted in the sub-arms that are in the Kshatriya's binders. These four sabers are likely fall-backs to allow the Kshatriya to fight off multiple enemies, or as a trump card to allow it to catch unsuspecting foes off-guard. The generated beam blade is strong enough to cut through standard mobile suit armor with ease.

Machine Cannon

Weapons that fire live ammunition, they are mounted in the chest, between the Mega Particle Cannons. These are used mostly to intercept small missiles.

Funnels

The Kshatriya is armed with a grand total of twenty-four funnels for all-range attacks. Each funnel possesses a powerful beam gun that is capable of melting an enemy mobile suit's armor. Six are stored within each of the Kshatriya's four binders, and are remotely controlled primarily through use of the psycoframe-equipped cockpit. These funnels are used primarily to allow the Kshatriya to engage large numbers of enemies at the same time, or to allow it to overwhelm a powerful foe.

Mega Particle Cannon

The Kshatriya is armed with an incredible twelve mega particle cannons. Four are mounted on the chest, giving the Kshatriya great firepower in its forward arc. They can be fired together to create a single and very powerful linked beam, or to fire a scattering beam in a manner similar to a shotgun. Two more of these cannons are mounted on each binder, allowing the Kshatriya to fight off enemies from virtually any direction.

Beam Gatling Gun

A pair of beam gatling guns is attached to the right forearm.
