Thaecian World Assembly Center

The Thaecian World Assembly Center

    What Is the World Assembly?

The World Assembly (WA) can be thought of as the United Nations of NationStates. It is an organization composed of two bodies, the General Assembly and the Security Council, that passes resolutions that affect various aspects of your nation. The General Assembly passes a wide variety of international laws ranging from human rights laws to environmental laws. The Security Council, on the other hand, passes Commendations, Condemnations, and Liberations -- designations that are meant to recognize nations for their contributions (positive and negative) to the NationStates community.

Why Should I Join the World Assembly? And How?

Joining the World Assembly opens up a whole new aspect of gaming on NationStates. First of all, as a WA member, you get to write, submit, and vote on World Assembly legislation -- legislation that impacts ALL NationStates players. Secondly, WA membership automatically grants you citizenship in Thaecia, allowing you to vote and participate as a candidate in our elections. Additionally, as a WA member, you have the ability to "endorse" other nations, including the Thaecian Delegate, Xernon. The more endorsements the regional Delegate has, the more power a region has in the World Assembly.

You can join the World Assembly right here: page=un

Once that is done, please endorse Delegate Xernon and feel free to cast a vote on the WA Resolutions at vote. (To endorse a nation, simply go their page, scroll down, and click on the "Endorse" button).

What Is the Thaecian World Assembly Center?

The Thaecian World Assembly Center is an organization, headed by President of Thaecia, that aims to inform and engage Thaeica's World Assembly members. To that end, the Center publishes Voting Recommendations that break down WA resolutions, explain their effects on your nation, and provides you with a recommendation of how to vote on a given resolution. The Voting Recommendations are there as a resource to guide you. You still retain the right to vote however you wish on a resolution.
