The Rim Pact

20th of January, In the Year of out Lord 2402

Esteemed Outer Rim Nations,

Noting that since Space Travel had become commonplace, The Outer Rim has been neglected,

Further Noting that many outer rim nations greatly lack in Resources that need to have significant time focused on,

Establishing that the "Outer Rim" Is the area of the Belt and beyond,

Bringing fellow Outer Rim nations together for free trade and protection,

Acknowledging that many Outer Rim Nations are the result of Inner Rim Nation's arrogance,

Noting that life in the outer rim is dangerous, and as such Outer Rim Nations must stick together,

The Parties of this Treaty Hereby Agree to the Following:

Article I
All Parties signed under this Treatice are not to impose tariffs nor any other trade tax onto each other, nor are parties under this treatice to embargo fellow signatories of this Treatice.

Article II
Signatories of this treatice are to defend each other if any threat, whether internal or external, attacks a signatory. Signatories are to allow free flow of fellow Rim Pact signatories militaries through their territory.

Article III
Only nations that are within the Outer Rim are allowed to become signatories of this treatice. Entirely space-faring nations such as the Rim League are exempt from this rule under the following circumstances:

  • The Spacefaring Nation have been entirely in the Outer Rim for at least one decade

  • The Spacefaring nation have previous interactions with fellow signatories of this treatice

Article IV
Any Signatory is allowed to leave the Rim Pact at any time, should it be from reasons internal or external. Any Nation that leaves, however, must give a one months notice to fellow signatories of the Rim Pact. Not doing so shall result with economic sanctions.

Article V
This treatice may be modified at any time, and new signatories may sign at any time if given express permission by at least 2/3rds of the current signatories.

Article VI
The Name of the alliance formed by this treatice has now been renamed to "The Aegis Concord".

Article VII
Nations within the Inner Rim are now allowed to join the alliance formed by this treatice, given that they are accepted by 2/3rds of current signatories.

Article VIII
Signatories of this treatice are to supply, in some capacity, to a alliance navy. Contributions including the lending of materials, shipyards, building plans, and workers. The navy of this alliance may only be used in situations where 2/3rds of signatories vote that it is to be used.

Article IX
The Signatories of this treatice are to be allowed to impose Pan-alliance laws only in times of emergency.
