Developed in the late 1980's and designed to be in service for a long term in the Wolfenchan Navy up to the 2040's, the KFM-30K was introduced into active service in 2010 replacing the ageing KFM-22S(F-4 Phantom's). Designed to be lightweight, maneuverable, multirole, and agile the KFM-33K has seen use in the Naval Force or Marine of Wolfenchan Sudeutscherland in the FWS Brunswick and FWS Vaterland , the 2 Brother and Sister ships of the Brunswick Class Aircraft Carrier. It's been described as a 4++ Generation Aircraft and it has been in recent years been supplemented by the Nördlicher Tornado as a ground coutnerpart and the KFM-33B/C as it's Stealth Multirole Successor that at present is just a supplementary fighter till the near future.
The Department of Weapons Development and KARI had the RLPK-29 Radar Fire Control System, SM29 Sapphire 29 look-down/shoot-down coherent pulse-Doppler radar, ES-31-2 KOLS IRST and laser range finders along with other equipment are mounted on these vehicles. The Wolfenchan codename/nickname for the fighter is "Featherfin".
The KFM-30K was put into production in 2010 after a series of design and prototype changes along with further implementation of advanced technologies like more advanced ground munitions and the capability to use Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missiles. The KFM-30K thus far has been produced up to a number of 120 some serving in inland bases but with a majority being on the carriers at sea.
