The Creslonian National Navy (CNN) is the naval warfare service branch of the Creslonian National Defence Force. As the second-oldest branch of the Creslonian military in order of precedence, the modern CNN has its roots in the Creslonian Revolutionary Navy, which was formed (3 August 1784) to fight the Creslonian Revolutionary War (July-October)before the Republic of Creslonia was established as a country. A high emphasis is placed on the reserve and civilian supporting aspects of the CNN and CNDF in general.
As a uniformed military service, the CNN is part of the Directorate of the Navy, which is one of the three branch military directorates of the Ministry of Defence. The Creslonian National Navy is headed by a civilian senior appointed civil servant, the Director of the Navy and by a chief military officer, the Chief of Staff of the Navy (CSN) who is also a member of the Combined Chiefs of Staff. It is the largest military branch, and currently, the projected strength of the regular navy is 7,000 and 3,400 for the reservists. There are also 2,000 civilians working for and with the Navy. The Creslonian National Navy is the major sea-based offensive and defensive force of the Republic of Creslonia.
As stated in the Creslonian Constitution, Article V, Section 3:
The mission of the Navy is to train, equip, and maintain competent combat-ready waterborne forces capable of deterring aggression and preserving the peace, security, and sovereignty of the Republic of Creslonia and its allies.
Creslonia's first organised navy was formed one month into the Creslonian Revolutionary War when fighters captured British ships harboured in Westport.
Once the Revolution was won, the Creslonian Revolutionary Navy was reformed as the 'Creslonian National Navy'. It would active by fighting piracy and smuggling.
The CNN did support CNDF forces during the Creslonian Civil War through selective coastal bombardment. However, this had very little effect and the majority of the fighting was done by the Army and Air Force.
The Creslonian National Navy was improved after the Civil War in case Creslonia ever got involved in World War 2. It never did.
The Navy has engaged in peacekeeping and escort missions overseas, although it now primarily participates in exercises and anti-smuggling operations.
The Creslonian National Navy has always been organised by the central government. Conscription can be enacted during wartime through the Personnel Selection System.
The Creslonian National Navy is the largest branch of the Creslonian National Defence Force and (along with the Creslonian National Air Force) is one of the highest-funded. The Navy employs a wide diversity of warships, from submarines to a single aircraft carrier. Vessels are station at military harbours all across Creslonia, although the primary bases are Creslon City Naval Base and Westport Naval Base. The Creslonian National Navy has the most funding and most vessels for a country the size of Creslonia.
Ships are organised into fleets, the First Fleet and the Second Fleet. These are stationed on opposite sides of Creslonia in order to improve defence and reduce the time that it takes to deploy to a specific theatre. In practise and at the tactical level, these fleets are split into flotillas.
Unit | Vessels | Station |

| Creslon City Naval Base |
Second Fleet |

The Creslonian National Coast Guard operates 6 Freedom class littoral combat ships, but the Coast Guard is not a part of the Navy.
The Creslonian Revolutionary Navy initially wore civilian clothes. After the Revolutionary War, the National Navy adopted light blue uniforms.
By the 20th century, the CNN had modernised their uniform and changed it to a dark blue colour with dark blue helmets and sailor caps, and peaked caps for officers. Dress uniform is white with appropriate epaulettes.
