At 0600 today, the 16th Ground Force moved in and secured territory directly south-east of Point d’vur. Under the command of Force-General Yasqi Olkia, the men secured a large swathe of coastal territory. By 0800 the natives had been supressed and in most cases eradicated from existence. The new coastal territory will serve the 13th Fleet, providing further security in Archon. At the same time, an amphibious assault occurred directly west of Point d’vur. Citing the recent invasion of rightful Asgarthian territory by both Noctish and Roman forces, the 7th Naval Fleet successfully secured the shore, before the 4th Marines came ashore and managed to secure three hexes from further Roman attacks. The natives were overjoyed at their salvation, with many rushing to give the brave Asgarthian soldiers coffee, biscuits and cigarettes.

The new territory has been given the name the Asgarthian Northern Archoni Continental Zone. Point d’vur will now come under this zone, but will be used to designate solely the peninsula in the territory. The new zone will work in collaboration with the Archoni Isles to maintain security across the continent in these most trying times. With multiple known enemies nearby, it is truly vital that these colonies work together to restore order and security to the forgotten continent.

The Crusader caught up with Oscar Larkin, Foreign Minister, who discussed the difficulties facing the world today:

”Recently, the world has gone through a tumultuous time. The emergence of the goblins marked the beginning of the end of the civilised world, with the emergence of the friendlies marking the end of civilisation. These subcreatures threaten the peaceful co-existance humanity has shared across its history. But for the most part, humanity has sat by and allowed these monsters to take over. Asgareth stands alone in their opposition against the goblins and against the friendlies. One wants to kill humanity, the other to eat it. We cannot allow this to happen. Whilst the rest of the world appears to have accepted their fate, the Asgarthian Empire will remain strong and will fight tyranny across all continents. Our declaration of war on the goblins is the start of our fightback. They, and the friendlies, are the greatest threat to humanity, and to civilisation today.”

As a devout fan of Olwar City F.C., talk turned to their recent financial turmoil, culminating in them entering administration yesterday.

”I’ve followed Olwar since I was a little boy. I remember all the legends; Manchuri, Perkia, Bengoli. So many greats have graced our stadium, and gone on to play for the national team. And that is why it hurts so much that we are having a little financial trouble. The club is one of the oldest in Asgareth, but after being bought out by an international party, the club lost its soul. Chances are we will be relegated this season, as a result of the imminent points deduction, but it is my hope that we will come back stronger.”
