Bears Brownie Shop opens in Faraday

The knowledgeable staff will ensure you find high-quality edibles that are perfect for you.

Bears Brownie Shop has gluten-free, vegan and
low-to-no-THC options available, too.

Faraday's Bears Brownie Shop is the third location outside of East Sakhlin.

Bears Brownie Shop held its grand opening ribbon cutting recently at their first location in Volaworand at 339 South Ave. W. (corner of Summit and South Avenue, directly across from the Volaworand Antarctic College transit station) in Faraday. This Bears Brownie Shop is an old-fashioned neighborhood bake shop featuring classic high-quality edibles baked completely from scratch using real butter and certified organic plant material.

They use only the best quality ingredients and are known for their Blazing Brownie of the Week, duffins (doughnut-muffins), "Over the moonpies", SPIT cakes, whoopie pies, cupcakes, cookies, cheesecakes, "spaced" scones, hot chocolate, and organic fair trade drinks including espresso, cappuccino and South Pacific Iced Tea.

"Alice in Wonderland" themed décor

Owner and chief baker Cheech Marin, a East Sakhlin transplant, is a former pastry cook at Capital Heights Patisserie in Zess. Husband and co-owner Tommy Chong, himself a Zessian National Culinary certified chef, transformed the interior of the bakery with a whimsical "Alice in Wonderland" themed decor.

This beautiful new bakery has dine-in seating, offers Mad Hatter birthday parties, and catering orders and offers free snowmobile parking in the rear of the store. Open Monday-Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.; Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. The venue hopes to book special and private events beginning next month.
