NATION NAME

The Free Land of Feu de Glace, commonly called Feu de Glace, is a sovereign city-state and island, functioning with a parliamentary democracy in the Samarian Sea. Being an island nation, Feu de Glace has no close neighbors, but is boarded by Triuvia to the east, Keskinen to the north, Gashovia to the west, and Mikoyansk to the south. Feu de Glace covers 441.82 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 28,505,200. Feu de Glace is divided into seven districts with sixty-five sub-districts.

Feu de Glace has a history of neutrality going back to its founding. Nevertheless, it actively pursues foreign policy, frequently involving themselves in building and brokering peace. A key principle of Feu de Glace's foreign policy is to not be involved in armed conflict. In its entire time since establishment, Feu de Glace has declared war once, against Kkarollzburg, in the name of promoting peace and ensuring the continued security of The New Warsaw Pact.

Recently, Feu de Glace has been acting as arbiter in the conflict over Josef Lenin, holding him pending trial. Feu de Glace was asked to hold him given its history of neutrality, and being the only country that could be trusted to not kill Lenin outright. Situations like this are becoming more common, with more countries looking into Feu de Glace as a place for trying criminals of international interest. Demand has increased such that The Feu de Glace International Court, a subsection of the Ministry of Justice, was created in order to execute requests.
