The [b]New Nipponese Empire[/b] (Nipponese: 新日本帝国, [i]Shin Nihon Teikoku[/i]), more commonly referred to as [b]Nippon[/b] (Nipponese: 日本, [i]Nihon[/i]), is an [b]absolute monarchy[/b] east of [b]Chun-Nan[/b] and the continent of [b]Elashia[/b]. [b]Nippon[/b] is an upcoming yet stable military and economic power in the East. It is notably inferior to its continental cousin, but the [b]Empire[/b] has engaged in colonialism in order to bolster its own power and prestige.

[b]Nippon[/b] has recently gone through a dynastic upheaval. The exiled [b]Mogami dynasty[/b] had returned after centuries in exile, and have successfully managed to usurp the throne they had been denied. The first Mogami imperial sovereign, [b]Emperor Hisao[/b], has died and left his only child, [b]Mizuki[/b], to take his place. It has been two years since the Emperor’s passing, and the [b]Empire[/b] is in a time of peace and prosperity. It is unknown whether this will last, but the benevolent and dignified reign of [b]Empress Mizuki[/b] is bound to put [b]Nippon[/b] in the goodwills of many.
