A Wolf's Tale Chapter 9

Auri woke up again, hoping to see Caelum; he wasn't there. Auri decided to try to find him. He went out to the human city.

A few days later Caelum returned to the cave. He was full of scars and cuts, and he walked his a limp in two legs, and a servere pain in the gut. "Auri..." he moaned when he saw he was gone. "Where are you?" He couldn't stay awake long enough. He couldn't even breath steadily. He passed out.

"How do I find Cae in this big place?" Auri asked himself. "He was looking for a sporting good's store. Or maybe I could ask someone." He saw the street performer, this time lookind mad.

He also saw the hunter looking for something. "I shouldn't talk to them. Or get close for that matter." He told himself, scanning the area like a hawk.

"But they could give me answers. I should ask them, but try not to let them catch me. And with this big crowd, I should be safe." He decided to avoid them at all costs. Instead of asking them, he asked a group of young men.

"Hello, can you tell me how to get to the sporting goods store?" Auri asked. The guys got excited. "We were just there. We got some camping supplies." They said. "That's good. Can you tell me how to get there?" He asked, impatiently. "Yeah, dude." One guy said, pointing to a street. "You go down that street, then make two left turns. Then a right. You'll find it." "Thank you." Auri said, going to his destination.

Caelum was lying on the cave floor in pain. He rolled around, but still hurt. Someone was at the entrance, but he couldn't get up to see who. They saw him and screamed. "Caelum!" They yelled. "Auri?" He weakly groaned. "Oh no." She said to herself. "Saxum, come here." She said.

"Do I really have to go in? Isn't someone in there?" A male voice asked. "Caelum's beyond hurt." She told him, pushing him inside. "We need to get him to safety." Caelum passed out again. The couple took him somewhere, and he knew it; he just didn't have the energy to care.
