Interview with Daophi

Our ninth interview is with Daophi, who is, at
the moment of this publication, the sitting Minister of Justice.

When did you first join NationStates?
How did you first hear about it?

I joined at the beginning of August. I don’t remember how I
first heard about it. Several years ago, I used to be part of
another game where everyone runs their own country and
joins into alliances and whatnot, but that game fell apart. I
suppose that I was probably looking for a similar game.

When did you join the DSA? Were you just looking at
regions when you found us or did you come through
recruitment telegram?

I came through the recruitment telegram; I had initially
joined a region that was not a good fit at all for me or my
nation, and I moved to the DSA within a day.

What are some things you've come to enjoy about the
DSA most? A favorite memory?

I really like our Discord server. Our VCs are really fun and
I’m glad that I’ve gotten to meet so many cool people there.
I like reading (and participating in) the debates that we
have there. Everyone is, for the most part, very civil and nice.

What do you do outside of NationStates? Examples: what
your job (if employed)? Hobbies? Talents? etc

I’m a fourth-year university student. I study Philosophy,
History, Religious Studies, and Medieval Studies. In terms of
hobbies, I like to read, cook, and play videogames. I’ve had
the good fortune to get reading recommendations, recipes,
and people with whom I can play games in the DSA.

What made you first want to enter DSA government?
What made you want to enter for this cabinet?

Well, I technically joined the DSA government when I was
appointed Director of Games and Gaming by a certain
interviewer. I saw that there was a problem with game-chat
clogging up the general vc channel, and so I wanted to get a
games-vc channel.
In terms of my role as the Minister of Justice, I didn’t actually
expect to run for a ministerial position. I decided that I would
after a friend nominated me for the position. I was surprised
but grateful when the DSA elected me their MoJ, and I’ve
been trying to do the job to the best of my ability.

Who are some people whom you've come to consider
good friends in the DSA?

Haha, this is the hard part. In no particular order:Burninandom ,
Alpyrea, Solus unus, 124mm10, Illyrian states, and
Gribelt
are my best friends in DSA. I like a lot of people in DSA,
though, and if I talked more to them then they would also count.

What are your plans for the future in your life? What
do you hope to be or accomplish before you die? Or more
simply and less macabre, within the next 20 years?

I’ll probably be dead in the next 20 years. Barring that, I
plan to go to grad school in Philosophy. I don’t really have
goals in my life, though. Hopefully capitalism will have
collapsed in 20 years

Eumolpus - Or a Big Big Gas Giant
Worthing Two Issues

When Discoverer-Argonaut 1 was approaching Eumolpus and their big, big
family, everybody in L.O.A.C.E were more than happy. The team knew from
the first moment that we had to do with 9 celestial bodies, and so the
working hours of this expedition would have been 9 times harder than
before, within the same time plan for the publication of this research. The
tension was high, so were the feelings. We managed to explore both
Eumolpus and their physical satellites, which will be featured on the next
issue of Solidarity. By this way, we will have two benefits: first, we will
have more time as a team to approach and explore Hekaton, our next
target, while second, we will have a closer look on all 9 celestial objects
in the system of Eumolpus. We think that they deserve that attention!

So for this issue, we present you Eumolpus, the gas giant. The two
photos presented here are from different perspectives, showing the
variety of angles of scapes of this planet. You probably don't want to land
there, cause you will be absorbed directly by the windy formations of the
surface, towards the tiny iron-silicate nucleus. The accurate data taken
by Laserscope™ are the following:

Overview
Mass: 1.39E+26 kg
Radius: 49651 km
Density: 270 kg/m3
Temperature: -270°C

Motion
Speed: 53.2 km/s
Orbital period: 65.9 days
Semi-Major Axis: 48226473 km

Composition
Iron: 4.45%
Silicate: 2.12%
Water: 11.9%
Hydrogen: 81.5%

moons - The first issue so far with moons in the foreground!
