The Estruvkia Class is a class of destroyers, serving with the Combreknizan Navy. This is the slightly modified class of second-generation general-purpose destroyers of the Combreknizan Navy which has been upgraded to all present ships that are in service in the Combreknizan Navy.
Since 1980, the Combreknizan Navy started construction of general-purpose destroyers under the eight ships / eight helicopters concept. By 1982, construction of twenty ships (twelve Sevastopol-class and eight Estruvkia-class) required for all four flotillas had been completed.
In the original plan, it was supposed to shift to destroyer escorts for local Area Forces afterwards. However, if the use of these ships was continued to the full extent of ships' life, the relative performance obsolescence was concerned. Thus the Combreknizan Navy decided to advance the construction of the new generation ships.
The Ships were upgraded over the years and the present upgrade and version of the ships have resulted in it becoming more or less the most common DDG of the Combreknizan Navy. Recently the Navy has announced that 4 ships will be completed by the end of the year and that they will be put in service by early 2019.
