Panstatumian Tortoise

Early Panhomoj seem to have been familiar with a species of large tortoise, and giant tortoises feature prominently in early Panstatumian mythology. Many of the older generation can recall their grandparents having delicious recipes of turtle soup, therefore it has been hypothesized that Panstatum may have once been home to it's own species of tortoise. Mainstream science declares that the panstatum tortoise may still survive deep in the inner cloud forest of Panstatum. The newly founded Turtle Hunters Association has sent several search parties into the jungles with no luck so far although the do mention in their reports that the local villagers in the southeastern portion of the Highlands had rumours of "large moving boulders" which the THA has interpreted as being a mistaken tortoise. The THA plans to investigate further. When the Royal Panstatumian Academy of Sciences, or RPAS, was informed of this they commented "tortoises are not boulders, and until hard evidence is presented of the existence of a living or deceased species of tortoise in the fossil record we will not accept the classification of a 'Panstatum Tortoise'". Does the tortoise exist? If so how big is it? Keep reading to find out!
