List of Published Issues

Credit to Jutsa and Singapore no2 for this dispatch's inspiration. Note that all dates are inexact and could be off plus or minus one day.

  • Issue 872
    Party On, @@LEADER@@!
    Editor: Candlewhisper Archive
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Party On, @@LEADER@@! was my first issue published, entering the pool on 15 December 2017. I got the inspiration from a nation's election thread with a joke party and thought it would make a fun issue. Credit to Drasnia for the issue's title.

  • Issue 909
    On the Fence
    Editor: Ransium
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
On the Fence was my second issue published, entering the pool on 21 February 2018. I drafted it after accidentally banning immigration and emigration on this nation. After a discussion on the Got Issues? discord server I was informed that there was no specific reversal for banning immigration, and while there were several options that did so all were validity-locked. I didn't want to be stuck with No Immigration so I wrote my own issue.

  • Issue 915
    Clasp of Controversy
    Editor: Nation of Quebec
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Clasp of Controversy was my third issue published, entering the pool on 24 February 2018. It was actually my first issue drafted of all my accepted issues (at least as of now). Inspiration came from a story about Donald Trump "not seeing" Angela Merkel and not shaking her hand as a result, although it seems unlikely he did not see her. Issue about that story.

  • Issue 927
Your Assignment, Should You Choose to Accept It
    Editor: Baggieland
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Your Assignment, Should You Choose to Accept It was my fourth issue published, entering the pool on 10 March 2018. It was originally intended for a wacky issues contest, but never submitted because I forgot about the contest and it wasn't wacky enough. Once again, my inspiration came from my recollection of the former French President (Francois Holland, but Francis Holland his counterpart in the issue) proposing a ban on homework. Credit for the title to Candlewhisper Archive.

  • Issue 1034
    Counting Coups
    Editor: Candlewhisper Archive
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Counting Coups was my fifth issue published, entering the pool on 24 July 2018. My inspiration came from the Cold War coups in nations like Guatemala and Chile. Credit for the title to CWA, changed in the publication.

  • Issue 1124
    Signing Off, Your God
    Editor: The Marsupial Illuminati
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Signing Off, Your God was my sixth issue, published on 7 December 2018. I don’t know if there was really an inspiration, I just had an idea for a goofy scenario under an unusual set of circumstances.

  • Issue 1360
    Ask a Stupid Question
    Editor: The free joy state
    Draft Thread1
    Official
    Commentary:
Ask a Stupid Question was my seventh issue, published on 14 August 2020. Inspiration came from a video of American citizens failing a citizenship test. Credit for the title to FJS, who changed it upon publication.

  • Issue 1408
(A Lot of) Pennies for Your Thoughts
    Editor: Candlewhisper Archive
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
(A Lot of) Pennies for Your Thoughts was my eighth accepted issue, published on 18 October 2020. Inspiration came from rumors of anti-Trump protestors being paid.

  • Issue 1416
    Building on Sand
    Editor: Zwangzug
    Official
    Commentary:
Building on Sand was my ninth issue, published on 8 November 2020. My inspiration came from China’s dealings in the South China Sea. It was my first issue published without a forum draft and feedback, one of three entries in an issue contest.

  • Issue 1436
    Meat Meet
    Editor: Frieden-und Freudenland
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Meat Meet was my tenth issue, published on 10 February 2021. I couldn't tell you where I got the idea from; it just sorta popped into my head. Definitely my punniest, possibly my funniest.

  • Issue 1456
Weather Report: It's Not Graining in East Lebatuck
    Editor: Electrum
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
It's Not Graining in East Lebatuck, my eleventh issue, was published on 29 April 2021. My inspiration was the US sales of grain to the Soviet Union in the later Cold War.

  • Issue 1475
    Bombshell for @@LEADER@@
    Editor: The free joy state
    Draft Thread
    Official
    Commentary:
Bombshell for @@LEADER@@ was my twelfth published issue, entering the pool on 3 August 2021. The idea popped into my head at one point. I submitted it in another issue contest and won. Bombshell is likely the dirtiest issue I will ever write - the premise revolves around a porn star and the options are littered with sexual references (always a good recipe to win an issue contest). Credit for the title goes to The Free Joy State, who changed it during the editing process.

¹ I did not publish my final draft on the forum due to the issue contest deadline, and editing changes were fairly significant, so there may not be much resemblance between the latest draft on the thread and the published issue.

Thanks to all those who advised me on these issues, and the editors who fixed my issues'... issues. I wouldn't be here without you.
