The Guns of Berun (De Berunsgeschütze), officially The Imperial Warforce of Frievolk (De Kaiserlik Krigsmacht des Frievolks), is the combined military forces of the Frievolker Empire. It is tasked with the defense of the property, life, and safety of the Frievolkers as well as power projection and furthering of the interests of the Empire. Today, The Guns of Berun consist of a highly mobile and quick Army, a small navy built for speed and quick termination of enemies, and an airforce that is the fastest in the modern world. The Guns of Berun specialize on quick attacks, destructive hit-and-run tactics, and mobile units instead of the more conventional heavy-and-large tactic most of the world is a fan of.
Brief Structure Overview
The DFS (FAF) is a relatively large military despite its numbers, due to the low population of the Empire it recruits from. To deal with this, the Empire follows the "De Glucklik Doktrin" (The Glucklik Doctrine), which employs Large and overbearing rapid response teams, as small as a platoon or as large as an actual Division, that respond to enemy actions rapidly. This means that about 500,000 of the personnel (exactly 20 divisions, or 4 field armies) have no stationary base, instead living on the vehicles that the FAF calls "Himmelsstützpunkt" (Skybase) or the Frievolker Capital Ships.
The DFS has no independence in the branches of its military, and the Army, Navy, and the Airforce (the latter two owning the Himmelsstützpunkt and Capital Ships in question) are often intermingled, since rapid response requires the Ground Forces to be moved as situations will it. That said, the Armed forces still has a ranking system, as well as military unit system:
The Reserve Force
Every male or female citizen of Frievolk between the ages of 18 and 54 is "fit-for-service". In case of war, any number of these fit for service citizens may be drafted into war as reserve units. The total number of that, is, at this point, 25,000,000 million (apart from the 5,000,000 employed in the military) However, the standing reserve force of the Frievolker military is 5,000,000 million people.
The DFS ranks are as followed:
Obermatrose (Higher Sailor)
Luftsergeant (Sky Sergeant)
Luftslutenant (Sky Lieutenant)
Oberlutenant (Higher Lieutenant)
OberLuftslutenant (Higher Air Lieutenant)
Flotkomanzer (Fleet Commander)
Flotkomanzer (Fleet Commander)
HeersGeneral (Army's General)
Admiral (Grand Admiral)
Großadmiral (Grand Admiral)
Großadmiral (Grand Admiral)
The Guns of Berun, the precursor to the FDS, was founded by King Denis the Proud in 1745, as a mobile Artillery Regiment of the Beruner Army. Between 1727 to 1732, the GoB were kept as a secret, due to the fact that the other five provinces did not, at that point, have such an army. In 1731, in the beginning of the The Schfrußer-Beruner War, the Guns of Berun had a key role in crushing the Schfrußer military, and forcing them into a union with Berun (the kingdom was known as Berun-Schfruß until after the Frievolkerbundskrig). After that, Guns of Berun incorporated the Beruner military, and after the unification of Frievolk, the Military was commonly known as the Guns of Berun.

Brief Overview of Equipment and Vehicles
The Frievolker Military is armed with various weapons.
Various other weapons used by the Frievolker infantry -or otherwise- officers include:
Laser Musket, early in development and highly experimental
Laser Rifle, early in development and highly experimental
Volksbote-class Mobile Artillery Truck
Used primarily as a Anti-Tank, Anti-Aircraft, and Anti-Infantry launcher with mobile capabilities, the Volksbote Truck is armed with SA-22 Greyhound missiles
Used primarily as an Anti-Infantry turret mounted on an armed vehicle, the Tiger is often used for hit-and-run, chase, and domination tactics, normally attacking with artillery support.
Schütze-class Cannon Truck
Armed with a rotating Artillery cannon, the Schütze (Marksman) is capable of Anti-Aircraft, Anti-Naval, and Anti-Armored warfare, with a relatively long range. It is normally used in rows, bombarding a target or acting as Armor, since their armor is stronger than the average medium Tank.
The Zeigerpunkter is armed with a 360° rotating anti-naval Missile System. Its mobile form is stationed on a mobile truck, and is capable of sinking a capital ship with a direct strike.
Armed with a rotating turret, the Jäger is a all-terrain Land-rover that is normally used for hunting and scouting missions.
Zeeland-class Patrol boat
A quick boat, armed with one short-range interception missile turret, two ballistic turrets for escape oriented combat, and one small cannon.
These boats, too small to be a rated warship but too big to be a patrol, both employ as minesweeper and submarine hunters alongside corvettes. They are armed with various interception missiles and incapacitator missiles, as well as a single hangar to hold a captured Submarine.
These ships are designed for warfare, pure and simple, and are armed with medium range Mortars capable of firing ten missiles at a relatively secure area of effect. Quick for interception, they are often employed in order incapacitates and boards targets while the smaller Zeeland class ships destroy the guardships.
The Großkaiserreik class MarinesKapital is a Capital ship of the Navy. Two of the six MarinesKapitalflotte host these vessels, and therefore there are only 12 of them in circulation in Frievolker Navy. The capital ship "Berunruhm" is such a vessel. Each of these vessels has the exact capabilities of a Gluklik class Himmelsstützpunkt and so they have five launching docks for modified VB-02 Fighters. VB-02 fighters and CB-03 Carriers are accessible via the flight deck, which has the capability of hosting up to 25 Cargo Planes. It is armed with 7 Heavy Batteries, 10 Medium batteries, and 7 Experimental Energy Cannons each capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, with another 25 Missile Launchers and 125 Manned Guns, all with independent 360° turning and firing independently.
The Kompensator class MarinesKapital is a Capital ship of the Navy. Two of the six MarinesKapitalflotte host these vessels, and therefore there are only 12 of them in circulation in Frievolker Navy. The capital ship "Nederreik" is such a vessel. Each of these vessels has Eight launching docks for modified VB-02 Fighters. VB-02 fighters and CB-03 Carriers are accessible via the flight deck, which has the capability of hosting up to 25 Cargo Planes. It is armed with 8 Heavy Batteries, 15 Medium batteries, and 10 Experimental Energy Cannons each capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, with another 40 Missile Launchers and 170 Manned Guns, all with independent 360° turning and firing independently.
The Krigzukunft class MarinesKapital is a Capital ship of the Navy. Two of the six MarinesKapitalflotte host these vessels, and therefore there are only 12 of them in circulation in Frievolker Navy. The capital ship "Reikswächter" is such a vessel. Each of these vessels has ten launching docks for modified VB-02 Fighters that are located on the outer decks of the vessel. VB-02 fighters and CB-03 Carriers are accessible via the outer deck, which has the capability of hosting up to 50 Cargo Planes. It is armed with 10 Heavy Batteries, 20 Medium batteries, and another 20 Experimental Energy Cannons each capable of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, with another 50 Missile Launchers, 250 Manned Guns, and 25 Laser guns all with independent 360° turning and firing independently.independently.
VB-02 Class Fighters
The VB-02 Fighter is the primary fighter on Frievolk's capital ships and Skybases, and is normally in charge of taking down aerial threats to our Skybases/Capital Fleets by swarming enemies. (Basically OTL Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II)
Hawk class Fighters
The Hawk fighter is the primary fighter in Frievolker Airforce vessels. (Basically OTL McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle)
Rockwell B-1 Lancer
(OTL Rockwell B-1 Lancer)
(Basically OTL B-2 Spirits)
The CB-03 Carrier vessel is the carrier ship that is normally in charge of deploying troops from the Skybases and Capital Ships into the ground. Well-armored and armed with various Anti-missile systems, the CB-03 normally is escorted with fighters and the Airfleets stationed on the aforementioned ships.
Falcon class Copters
(Basically OTL Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey)
The Skybases are a key part of the Rapidereaktionprogramm, and there is a more detailed article about them here
