Pre 1650: Huterric States not unified. There are 2 empires on the continent: The Lancurian Empire, whose capital was Lancurin, and the Vescusian Empire, whose capital was Lydenick
1781]: Joshua Ladiro comes to power in Vescus and starts an authoritarian regime.
1786: The Vescusian Military, aiming to conquer the Lancurian Empire, destroy Lancurin Cathedral. Lancur declares war in response, starting the Huterric Civil war
1790: The First Battle of Wickepuckett happens in the Wicklepuckett Basin. Lancur loses and the city of Lajin. This is the furthest west the Vescusian Empire manages to reach
1794: The Second Battle of Wicklepuckett happens in the east of the basin. Lancur wins and takes control of the basin and land consisting of modern day Ellis Province.
10th December 1795: The Battle of Lancurin occurs at the ruins of Lancurin Cathedral. The battle is won by Lancur, who annexes the Vescusian Empire. This day is a national holiday, known as Victory Day. It is decided that a constructed capital on the south central coast of the continent, called Lansadas, was to be built to become a district in its own right. As for the empires, it is decided that their subdivisions will become self-governing authorities called Provinces, with devolved powers from the Federal Government.
1st January 1796: Article One is written, coming into effect 12th February. The article declares the unification of the continent under one nation on 12th February.
12th February 1796: At 12pm Lansaddian Time, the Huterric Union unites. The bells in the main tower of Lancurin Cathedral, the only part of the cathedral left intact, rang to announce Huterric Unification. The 12th February is celebrated as Huterrica Day, our most important national holiday. Lancurin Cathedral never gets rebuilt, instead the ruins - especially with the intact main tower - serve as a symbol of freedom, equality, fairness, and justice.
3rd August 1896: First Lansadas Freedom Festival is held, being the largest celebration of liberty in the world. This is also counted as the first LGBT+ Pride festival, but this wasn't the main focus of the event.
26th March 1948: The Social Party splits to form the communist One Huterrica Party and the social democratic Freedom Party.
16th August 1989: Libertarian Airways Flight 492, en route to Ecklin, is bombed in Aclenia Province in what is the deadliest aviation disaster in Huterric history, and its deadliest terror attack.
27th April 2003: United Huterric Airlines Flight 64 disappears off the west coast of Huswyae and its wreckage is not found until May 2016. It was cited as the biggest aviation mystery to occur before its discovery, and is one of the most talked about aviation disasters to this day.
16th August 2010: Hywel Parks announces he will not be standing up for re-election in 2009, citing his recent mesothelioma diagnosis, and instead appointing Jody Boncamp as his successor as party leader. He keeps his president title until the election, in which Boncamp wins.
11th August 2011: Hywel Parks passes away to mesothelioma, in Cytalune, Chutterick. A state funeral is held on 20th August in Lansadas, and his ashes are buried underneath a statue of him in Glennerick Park, Lancurin.
10th December 2017: Barbara Chapman, close friend of Hywel Parks, becomes leader of the Huterric Freedom Party following the resignation of Jody Boncamp due to low popularity within the party.
16th November 2019: Chapman wins the Freedom Party one of the biggest landslide victories of any democratic nation in history, and becomes President-elect of the Huterric Union.

*Assumed the role in 1796 after being the leader of the former FHU and declared that an election would occur every 5 years on years ending with 4 and 9, with the new president taking office on the 1st of January of the following year. It was also decided that only people democratically elected as President count as having had the role. This means he was in power until 1800 without an exercise of democracy, thus his rule before then does not count.
