The Imperial Confederacy of Zergeria is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Zear III with an iron fist, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, smutty television, and flagrant waste-dumping. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 8.209 billion Zergerites are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Education, and Administration are also considered important. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zrg city. The average income tax rate is 96.9%.

The frighteningly efficient Zergerian economy, worth a remarkable 3,490 trillion kronor a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Beef-Based Agriculture. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 425,237 kronor, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Stoogery and pratfalls are about as scathingly clever as Zergerian humor gets, the Hanging Gardens account for half of Zrg city's water use, the military patrols the streets in search of possible secessionists, and postcards from Zergerian driving test centres are popular souvenirs. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zergeria's national animal is the socialist bruh, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Violet Shintoism.

Zergeria is ranked 197,165th in the world and 76th in Psychotic Dictatorships for Greatest Rich-Poor Divides, with 2.02 Rich To Poor Income Ratio.
