The Rogue Nation of Yian Kut-Ku is a large, cultured nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, frequent executions, and ban on automobiles. The cynical, devout population of 50 million Yian Kut-Kuans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The medium-sized, socially-minded, well-organized government prioritizes Spirituality, with Administration, Defense, and Public Transport also on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 46.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Yian Kut-Kuan economy, worth 1.73 trillion Bullion Pesos a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Trout Farming, Tourism, Information Technology, and Basket Weaving. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 34,675 Bullion Pesos, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Parents tell their children 'what a lovely mistake you turned out to be', the banshee wail foretells skies of death, convicted felons are forced into slavery for their crimes, and politicians frequently make unusual poses during speeches in hopes of inspiring the next internet fad. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Yian Kut-Ku's national animal is the Tecuani, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Yian Kut-Ku is ranked 60,399th in the world and 11th in Nuevo Amanecer for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 32.78 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
