Battle of Tarnov Bank - 8th December 1939
Shortly after the Third Snow War broke out between Wardie land and the Bolshevik Republic of Snowland the BRSL Navy left its bases, fleeing to the sea after carrier planes attacked the BRSL 4th Fleet at anchor at Port Telmansk when war broke out. After 2 weeks of attempting hit-and-run attacks the BRSLN 6th Fleet, under command of Admiral Mikail Korovich picked up a message that Wardie land reinforcements were passing by Tarnov Bank in order to reach the Imperial Marines which had landed at Tarnov Point, the 6th Fleet moved in to engage. The reinforcements were being protected by Wardie land Imperial Navy and Snowlandian Pro-Empire Front Fleet, one of the SLPEFF forces present was the SLPEFF No. 3 Torpedo Boat Squadron, commanded by Captain Georgi Yaranov, No. 3 Torpedo Boat Squadron was equipped with the old, obsolete Hayabusa-class torpedo boat

As the BRSLN 6th Fleet moved in to engage the Wardie land Osprey-class aircraft carrier HMIWS Osprey launched aircraft to attack it, whilst Wardie land and Snowlandian ships moved in to engage, a P-class submarine was also in the area, and took part in the battle. No. 3 Torpedo Boat Squadron charged the enemy, despite their obsolete torpedo boats, got amongst the enemy, and sunk quite a number.
The 6th Fleet continued to attack despite losses, and ended up getting completely wiped out, Yaranov's flagship, the Narval, managed to sink Admiral Korovich's flagship, the Krasnyy Revolyutsiya, the loss of the 6th Fleet was one of many defeats for Snowland, Captain Georgi Yaranov would be commended for the part he played in the battle, and would later command his own fleet of the Snowlandian Imperial Navy founded in 1941, captured Burnyi-class torpedo boats would be re-designated as the Yaranov-class torpedo boat in Snowlandian service (and re-designated Spear-class torpedo boat in Wardie land service)
