National Anthem

The Voxijan national anthem, which is called "The Voxijan March", was written by Koldon Ibarra during the Voxijan War of Independence in an attempt to rally Voxijans and raise their confidence. It was adopted as our national anthem in 1814, with a couple of lyric changes to reflect modern times.

The name of the anthem is obscure even to Voxijans, who just refer to it as the national anthem.

This is the best translation from Voxi the translators could find. The translators focused on the meanings of the words, rather than having it rhyme.

Beautiful Voxija, forever will be free
As long as the people support it
As long as there is good in the world
Voxija will shine.

BANNED SECOND VERSE
This verse isn't sung because of violent content.

We will kill the Spaniards,
Expel them from the land.
Their blood shall turn the rivers red,
While Voxijans' guns still fire.

[no verses are banned from this point on]

We will guard the southern rivers,
While the great mountain looms above the plains
From the beaches to the Eastern Oceans,
We hold claim to our rightful land.

We will fight and we'll grow stronger.
Strong enough to drive any invaders from our shore
We will defend the homeland
We will endure the worst
To keep our people free.
