The People's Republic of Veietnom is a very large, orderly nation, notable for its frequent executions, triple-decker prams, and enslaved workforce. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 129 million Veietnomians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The medium-sized, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defense, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 20.4%.

The sizeable but inefficient Veietnomian economy, worth 4.80 trillion kronor a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Retail. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 37,221 kronor, with the richest citizens earning 6.2 times as much as the poorest.

The government burgles the houses of holidaying citizens, the tax agency is feared more than serial killers and terrorists, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, and the Veietnom Enquirer offers weekly cash prizes for 'most blasphemous song, story, or cartoon'. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Veietnom's national animal is the falcon.

Veietnom is ranked 82,961st in the world and 17th in THE NORTH Heart for Most Advanced Defense Forces, scoring 1,482.86 on the Total War Preparedness Rating.
