The Free Land of Universali is a huge, socially progressive nation, ruled by The People with a fair hand, and notable for its ban on automobiles, digital currency, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, democratic population of 994 million Universalians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The medium-sized, outspoken government prioritizes Education, with Environment, Social Policy, and Welfare also on the agenda, while Law & Order and Defense are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nadiaburg. The average income tax rate is 22.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Universalian economy, worth 47.6 trillion Hashishes a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Tourism, Gambling, Information Technology, and Pizza Delivery. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 47,895 Hashishes, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Tourists are flocking to the newly-built MeteorLand family resort, judges are all-powerful, people with political aspirations study how to make balloon animals, and the new national campaign exhorts men to "Show Some Class - Don't Sit On Your Ass". Crime, especially youth-related, is a serious problem, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Universali's national animal is the Shark, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Universali is ranked 21,207th in the world and 137th in The Leftist Assembly for Most Inclusive, scoring 134.61 on the Mandela-Wollstonecraft Non-Discrimination Index.
