Adieu
Although my eyes are open I see nothing,
There is only pain around me,

I can hear people crying,
Though it appears distant,

Memories are flashing before my eyes,
Is this truly what life becomes,

In the moments before the end,
I can’t help but wonder,

Did I make the right choice,
Was there another way,

All these questions flowing my mind,
It all appears too late,
I should have done something sooner,

Now that the sounds of crying have gone,
With the pain also disappearing,

It feels like I have become a floating body in the endless space,
Unable to move, or speak, or even see.
