Main Military Overview (FT - Mainly Ha'Hosh)

LinkTHAT HUMAN TYPE BEAT

This is mostly a stand-in for a more detailed explanation of the personal military arm of Azavir, more details on the Ha'Hosh can be found here. This factbook should be taken as just a quick run-down of types of Ha'Hosh, and other forces of the alliance, not anything too official. Lore is subject to change. There is additionally information on the most relevant species that work with Azavir. This alliance of species is headed by Azavir, with the Ha'Hosh serving as the main defenders, humanity as the spear, and the rest serving more supportive roles.

If you are looking for what spaceships are used in the FT setting, go here
tldr: hard scifi human ships have stupid silly range and insane defenses/armor, Ha'Hosh bioships are stupid powerful, Visari ships are highly supportive and love lasers, goopsters move stuff and use decoys and tricks and fun oh my

The Ha'Hosh don't typically use weapons or tools considering that they are the weapons. They do use some weapons, but they aren't that relevant and aren't typical. There are different kinds of offense-orientated Ha'Hosh breeds, mainly coming from the Warrior caste and spacefaring Pamodar caste. One should never underestimate any of the Ha'Hosh breeds however, as they are all weapons, hyper lethal apex super predators designed to fight on a universal scale. This quick guide should give you a general idea of what Azavir has at its' disposal, beside itself. Azavir being a (technically god-killing) death laser the size of about the milky way galaxy that manages a universal war and the logistics required and has been in a constant state of fighting since the (near) beginning of the universe, of course.

(If you're here from F7 and want to save yourself some time yes they are OP, no, it's not a dick measuring contest that's just the scale of the lore, the Ha'Hosh are not openly aggressive and will almost always seek a diplomatic outcome, they seek to protect life, so have some fun with your responses, don't worry too much about being super serious.

tl;dr: xenomorphs with spaceship/naval destroyer level sensors and hard scifi space ship gamma weapons running off fusion reactors that share an essentially telepathic soft-hivemind allowing them to instantly communicate, but aren't mindless drones. Fun fact, get a hoosher high and they will listen to your mixtape.)

Castes - Castes separate breeds into distinct groups like Warriors and Workers. It is not hierarchal, and primarily serves as a way to group similar breeds.

Breeds - Ha’Hosh come in many different sizes, roles, and purposes. Each of these types are referred to as a Breed of Ha’Hosh.

For context, this lore is divided into 10 ages, the First Age through the Tenth Age. There can be massive time differences between ages, some being uncountable, to others being the span of thousands of years. This is due to the setting being more focused on the human universe than the others. The Third Age is when Azavir is made, the Ha'Hoosh begin as mindless drones. The Fifth Age sees Azavir become awaken, same for the Ha'Hosh. This age marks a massive boost in power for Azavir and the Ha'Hosh, the Ha'Hosh are uncountable, capable of fighting in hundreds, near thousands of galaxies at once. The Sixth Age sees the downfall of the universe as Azavir begins loosing ground, this is when you start getting more powerful but less numerous Ha'Hosh. The Seventh age is when humanity and the milk way are introduced, Ha'Hosh fall into the quadrillions, which is relatively low. The Seventh age is where the setting centers the most, thus modern Ha'Hosh. Eighth Age is a bloody and violent last stand, and leaves Azavir and the Ha'Hosh decimated. The Ha'Hosh are all but gone in the Ninth Age, and the Tenth Age is when Azavir blows everything up and then commits die.

TLDR: these describe Seventh Age Ha'Hosh and Azavir, the current setting in the lore. Ha'Hosh number in the quadrillions, and are extremely powerful, but have been on a relative mass decline in numbers.

Watchers

The Watcher Caste are the eyes and ears of Azavir, it's spies, infiltrators, and seekers. They hide and listen, use manipulation and deceit, they hide in plain sight and pretend to be one of you. Watchers range in size from small cats to larger Warrior-sized, to the Vitarsh, the largest non-Pamodar or Lundar Ha'Hosh. They stalk prey, diplomats, key figures, they can hide in the bodies of other speices, or act as diplomats, others serve a more logistical, supportive, or commanding role.

Workers

Workers maintain and build, they are the logistics system of Azavir, his arms. Ha'Hosh in the Worker Caste do not generate the same power as warriors, meaning their gamma rays and phased array lasers are weaker. However, Workers are capable of firing upto four gamma rays, and are the most numerous of the Worker Caste. An invasion of Azavir would be essentially impossible.

Warriors

Ha'Hosh Warriors are the fists and claws of Azavir, they are the most numerous of all Ha'Hosh. A typical Warrior is a 9 foot tall walking nuclear death tank. Their hides can produce a hardening compound that turns into a bone-like substance. This gives them protection against many forms of damage, kinetic and thermal alike. Their hides alone can take impacts from tank and artillery shells, and their ability to survive and heal is unprecedented. One has to all but disintegrate their torsos to kill one, their heads are merely sensor units.

All Warriors are capable of unleashing powerful and deadly radioactive gamma ray beams, it is their primary weapon. Secondary to that, are their phased array lasers that speckle their communication horns. A single Ha'Hosh can melt armor in seconds, a large group can irradiate a continent, an army, a world. Not that they typically will, after all, biomass is the most valuable resource in the universe. Ha'Hosh are also extremely strong, their metal and hydraulic muscles making them capable of swiping an elephant in half.

And on top of it all, every Ha'Hosh is connected to Azavir, sharing data and information with him and other Ha'Hosh near-instantly. Their Hivemind allows for perfect communication, understanding, logistical planning, and gives them a massive tactical advantage. Most people underestimate the sheer power of instant, non-interceptable communications.

Specialist Warrior

Besides their slightly larger bulk and power output, Specialist Warriors have ports all over their bodies to allow a direct connection to special equipment. These Ha'Hosh man large laser weapons, interface with Lundar and Pamodar, and use special tools and equipment. Specialists also excel at data and energy transferring. They are akin walking power bank with skills.

Skutog Warrior

Skutog are a special breed of warrior, they are bigger, stronger, and capable of outputting much more power than normal warriors. Their neural organ is larger and their connection to the neural network is deeper, not only giving them greater knowledge and experiences to draw on, but also further range.
By leaving a warrior in a growth sack for longer and feeding it some extra infernium, a Skutog, or Greater Warrior is produced. These elite Ha'Hosh are used to defend Azavir, important colonies, and allies. Due to their "cook time" and resource demands, these breeds are less common than regular Warriors.

Dukar Warrior

A massive quadrupedal attack dog artillery piece, the Dukar Warrior is the most powerful of the Ha'Hosh save for Pamodar types. At their tallest and longest, a Dukar can get to sizes of 20 by 35 meters long, putting them near (and sometimes greater than) Vitarsh sizes. This is similar in size to some of the largest earth Sauropods. The primary features of this bred are their massive crest-horns (much like a triceratops), and head-mounted magnetic accelerator and "laser cannon". A Dukar can propel a 5 to 10 ton projectile at 0.05th the speed of light. On top of this, a Durkar has a Pamodar-level gamma ray, and is perfectly capable of shooting down hostile spacecraft from the ground. Additionally, these breeds are armed with extra fire support limbs on their backs, allowing for up to 6-8 gamma ray beams at once, including the tail and head. The Crest of the Durkar is extremely powerful, a burst from their phased array lasers alone can cut down massive swaths of enemies and armor.

Humans have armed some of these Ha'Hosh with more weaponry, and call these 'Ordnance' Warriors. Missiles, autocannons, railguns, coilguns, lasers, nuclear weapons, and more are fitted on. Sometimes even are outfitted with fire support and sensor modules in order to rapidly and aurracrely call down orbital support or air support. They live up to the name quite well, often being a trump card rather than a common sight.

Gaz'Krul

Although Azavir is the supreme intelligence and commander of all Ha'Hosh, Gaz'Krul serve as administrative leaders. These creatures lack the power and strength of most other Ha'Hosh their size, but make up for this with their superior individuality and intelligence. Assisting Azavir, they offer suggestions, tactics, and address any issues Azavir has not. Gaz'Krul also serve as military leaders and envoys, their long lifespans give them a great deal of experience, every generation becoming more and more refined at mass slaughter or manipulation. Although unnerving beasts, the Gaz'Krul offer an additional level of thought and tactics to Azavir.

Interestingly, the Gaz'Krul do not have any optics, and instead rely completely on their radar to see and navigate. Their horns form large crests like on the Durkar, however are much more attuned to communication and radar than phased array lasers.

Art by Khoronzon

The avatar of Azavir, it is the largest and most powerful non-Pamodar Ha'Hosh. It towers like a building over others, massive and vastly powerful. The Vitarsh, unlike other Ha'Hosh, is but an empty puppet for Azavir to directly control. Without direct control it sits in suspended animation, waiting to be puppeted again. This body allows it to physically interact with the universe, serving as both a physical manifestation of itself and as a face for aliens. Although intimidating, the Vitarsh is the safest Ha'Hosh to be near, as it emits no passive radiation and can control everything from passive heat to the local environment. All done for the safety and comfort of alien diplomats.

The Vitarsh is capable of producing its' own Ha'Hosh, can navigate through space with seemingly no effort, and can generally produce anything the Ha'Hosh would need with enough biomass access. All of this makes the Vitarsh able to colonize nearly any spacial body, making it a mobile base, and with firepower to rival the largest Pamodar. With the highest output short of Tarn and the main body itself, the Vitarsh is awesomely powerful at any range. On top of the capabilities of the Dukar, the Vitarsh can manipulate the gravity around it, produce a wide variety of biological weapons and chemicals, influence minds, and act as a direct sensor for the main body, allowing for extreme pin-point long range accuracy from the weapons on the main body.

The Vitarsh stands around 11 meters tall on all fours, 18 meters tall on the hind legs, and from tip to tip is around 30 meters long. To imagine this, think of a large yacht or the worlds longest segmented bus. The hide is pitch black and smooth, like a metal armor. The head of the Vitarsh features no eyes or other facial features beside the lipped mouth, which is vastly more expressive than the lip-less maws of other Ha'Hosh. The head is adorned with a massive horn-crest with two horns jutting forward from the base of the crest. Four massive, long, and powerful legs end with long, sharp pointed fingers, the forward pair of legs being used as arms when standing on the hind legs. Two smaller arms forward of the frontal legs are used in quadrupedal movement. Two 20 meter long tails end in gripping claws and maws, each tail is adorned with retractable heat dispersion fins. The back of the Vitarsh features another pair of smaller, but still very long arms, typically folded away until needed, and more heat dispersion fins, used to cool the creature during high-stress combat.

Lundar

Lundar are best described as living vehicles, they are used to transport goods and Ha'Hosh primarily, but serve a variety of roles. They are alive and aware, just like the rest of their Ha'Hosh brethren, though perhaps less aware than the rest. Most Lundar work inside of Azavir or on colonies, they aren't spacecraft but they are capable of movement in space and space-like environments.

In terms of war, Lundar can be weapons platforms or transports, but the majority of fighting belongs to the Warrior and Pamodar Ha'Hosh. Make no mistake, these are not stand-ins for tanks, a normal Ha'Hosh Warrior is more a stand-in for a tank.

Pamodar

Pamodar differ from Lundar in that they are made specifically for combat (or general use) outside of Azavir and in space. They carry the heaviest ordnance, the most weapons, and are the most protected of the Ha'Hosh. Every ship is a living member of the Ha'Hosh species., all just as alive and aware as the rest. Pamodar range in size from anywhere around 30-40 meter recon scouts, to massive 800 meter behemoths armed with atmosphere-igniting weaponry. They are typically armed with massive, powerful gamma rays, large phased array radar banks, and magnetic accelerators. But not all are made for war, some serve logistics roles, some even serve as colony starters, slamming into a planet in order to gain the resources or start an outpost.

Azavir

Azavir itself is a galaxy-sized thick disc with a massive sphere in the middle, and is a bioweapon. Azavir can control the force of gravity and is capable of unleashing an immensely potent myriad of gamma ray beams, lasers and magnetic accelerators, averaging in the trillions of units. He has eyes and ears exactly where and when needed. He processes unimaginable amounts of raw data, can open and create wormholes, and has a hivemind-like control over his Ha'Hosh. Azavir watches over and protects other species, guiding and manipulating them from the shadows until they're ready to join her cause. She has billions of years of experience and wisdom to draw on, from war, diplomacy, culture, logistics, economics, and psychology. It was made for destruction, death, and suffering on a scale never seen before in any universe, but does not follow this path.

It can be said that Azavir is morally dubious, using manipulation to force the species of the universe to join in his pointless war, bound to eventually fail as all life is devoured by his merciless and unyielding foe. However, his actions are undoubtably done in the best interest of all species, he does not seek to conquer, consume, or destroy life. Rather she seeks to preserve it, in any form it may take.

Humanity

Humanity has undergone many changes to get where it is now, as it stands now it is united against the Khuraki, joining the fray as Azavir's spear. Humanity is powerful and determined, they will proudly slam themselves against the horde until one of them is dead. Humans however, only reach the upper millions in population, and thus use combat droids for most surface engagements and for protection. Some humans choose to directly put themselves in harms' way, either a the crew of ships or in Expeditionary Forces. Human Fireteams are known to take on hundreds, if not thousands of Khuraki at a time and come out alive. Humanity hates the Khuraki, so much so that they rarely infight despite their massive size. A combination of a massive ego death, ritual suicide, collective hatred, and common sense keep the Humans together.

multirole rover

heavy multirole rover - logistics, transport, and heavy fire support

"dropship" - rocketship with large cargo hold

space ships - big hard scifi cones of death, typically engage at ranges well over 200,000 kilometers with particle accelerators, lasers, missiles, and coilguns. Missiles and Particle Accelerators serve as long (<200,000 km) and medium range (100-200k km), while lasers and coilguns serve as medium and short range (>100k km) weapons.

system defenses - visari design

Visari

The Visari are a type of silicon-based lifeform in the form of living crystals. The Visari feed on electricity, and are practically a living CPU. Rather friendly, the Visari love to do three things, 1. Make things more efficient, 2. Play games, and 3. Make music. Nothing makes a Visari happier than having a fleet of Khuraki test their defenses and find new ways to destroy them more efficiently. Aptly, their equipment, weapons, and language sound like music. Communicating through electrical currents and subtle vibrations, listening to Visari communicate sounds like an orchestra of synths. Despite being a naturally occurring "AI", Azavir openly accepts them and even seems to favor them, though it is hard to tell.
The Visari, despite being utterly different to humans, share very good relations with Humans. A mutual love of music brought the species together, while a fondness for games and tactics cemented their relationship. Although the first to join Azavir in the Milky Way Galaxy, and with little convincing, the Visari do not often work with the Ha'Hosh as much as they do the other species. The Visari have little interest in interacting with the [goopsters] beyond being allies, but are just as cordial with them as any other species.

Military - The Visari use human combat androids as a fighting force, they do not seek combat themselves, preferring a supportive role. Their ships are majority Visari and Human, the Visari prefer to use modified Human ships to support their military engagements, using their defensive capabilities and flexibility while their own ships offer logistics support and long range firepower. In surface combat they act as perfect advisors, as most Khuraki engagements are defensive, they are adept at keeping forces supplied and defenses optimized.

Exosuits - Human and Ha'Hosh designed exosuits give the Visari bodies to interact with the world around them. Without these suits Visari struggle to move and interact with their environments. Much of their early evolution saw them as helpless intelligences, thus why they so adore games, as they still remember what it is like to be helpless. The Ha'Hosh would create for them their early "suits", giving them mobility and ways to interact. Humans would later improve on theses suits as a sign of good will, creating more synthetic and robotic suits for them that better complimented their silicon-based bodies. You can still find some older Ha'Hosh suits in use, though quite rarely.

Lasers - Visari excel at creating high efficiency lasers and long range optics, save Ha'Hosh ships, all other species use some form of Visari lasers and optics throughout their civilizations. Visari lasers of all types are smaller, more efficient, and longer range than any other species', but do require special parts.

Logistic Support - Practically living computers, Visari enjoy dealing with complex problems and have gotten extremely good at maintaining the alliance's supply lines, resources, and logistics. Additionally, Visari ships can boost the computing power of friendly ships, giving them quicker target acquisition times, higher accuracy, and more efficient heat management. Acting as mobile server farms, they reduce the computing loads on friendly systems, thus reducing the heat generation of friendly vessels.

Space Ships - Most Visari ships serve logistical roles, but can still be heavily armed. Always armed with powerful lasers, Visari prefer to engage at long range and can deal massive amounts of damage, but struggle in relatively closer engagements and lack the flexibility of human ships. Visari ships rely primarily on stealth and thick angled armor to both hide from the Khuraki and deflect Khuraki weapons, Visari ships are adept at managing their heat and emissions, making them hard to detect, even after moving or firing.

System Defenses - Massive sun-powered lasers protect friendly systems, smaller orbital laser grids provide defense for friendly worlds. The Visari love having their defensive grids tested so that they may be improved, their efforts keeping important systems locked down and protected.

[goopsters]

OOC: goopsters is just a placeholder name, I don't have much info on these guys yet.

Evolving on a world with an extremely tightly intertwined ecosystem, the [goopsters] began life as flora, evolving overtime to become a thinking mass of organic matter. They resemble furry green slimes, and lack solid forms. Surprisingly their species has little concept of conflict on any large scale, and thus are utter cowards in the face of the Khuraki. However, with the promise of protection the alliance brings, the [goopsters] have decided to join the fight, helping to support the alliance by building it's foundation instead of fighting on the front lines. [goopsters] are very good at terraforming planets, they provide food, medical supplies, and biological resources to the other species, and work with the Visari as the primary movers in supply lines.

Military - Human designed combat androids and equipment make up the vast bulk of [goopster] security forces, having no real military forces of their own. The few brave [goopsters] that do choose to fight are turned into control units for their combat vessels. These ships are unimpressive compared to other species, and only really offer a supportive role in combat, confusing and slowing the Khruaki so friendly forces can wipe them out. Most of their ships are massive living cargo vessels, designed to move resources, goods, equipment, and forces throughout the galaxies. These ships rely on Ha'Hosh warp gates to move around, as they are otherwise rather slow, but still make up the backbone of the alliance's supply lines.

Bio-Weapons - Forced to bring something to the table, [goopsters] have developed all kinds of nasty weapons to deal with the Khuraki. Although typical biochemical and illness-based weapons are ineffective against the Khuraki, [goopster] bio-weapons serve not necessarily to kill, but to slow or trick.

Medical Support - [goopsters] are very good at medicine and biology, human medical kits across the galaxy all contain [goopster] medical supplies. Typically fatal wounds can be addressed in the field, disease and illnesses are all easily taken care of by [goopster] medicine and antibiotics, even Ha'Hosh will use their medical supplies to increase their healing rates.

Logistical Support - [goopsters] feed the alliance, humans in space survive on [goopster] created foods, the Ha'Hosh receive high quality biomass from them.

Colony Ships - Colony ships are special ships designed by the [goopsters] to terraform planets. They range in size, contents, and purpose, and each one is "custom made" to fit the planet it is destined for. Some are used to merely make an atmosphere, others are slammed into planets to move them into better orbits. Some make planets suitable for humans, some for Ha'Hosh, some for making food, etc. [goopsters] massively speed up processes that would otherwise take millions, if not billions of years.
